Escape to the Texas hill country and experience the charm of farm life on 10 acres at Wildflower Getaway! Nestled just outside of Austin, in San Marcos, TX, our property offers a unique experience with hiking trails surrounded by nature and friendly farm animals. There is also a cowboy pool with a shade sail. We have goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and more. In September we will have a llama named Oreo Mochi. There is an outhouse for washing hands and a compost toilet. There are water and electric connections only. 50 amp RV connections. If you need 30 amp you will need a converter. You can pitch a tent. There are rock firepits set up around the property and plenty of firewood. Eventually we will be adding an outdoor shower for camping guests. It is 15-18 minutes to downtown San Antonio. About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). A tent can be provided upon your request ahead of time. We look forward to hosting you. We want you to create lasting memories by connecting with yourself and loved ones.

Site 1 is a camping site where you can pitch a tent anywhere away from other guests and walk to the compost toilet in an outhouse. There is a water hose in the barn area from the rainwater collection tanks if you need some water. A horse and pony roam the property. Site 2 is an uncovered spot by the barn. There 30 amp connections. There are places to connect water from hoses in the barn near the covered site. It does come from a rainwater collection tank and turns on and cuts off at times to refill. There is an outhouse with a compost toilet. A horse and pony roam the property. The 3 goats sometimes roam freely on the property during the day. There is no sewage.

The drive into the camping areas is a little bumpy but the quiet and privacy is worth it. The horses come to visit at night but keep their distance. This place is a “make-your-own camp” style and there are a few spots to make into your own.

This campsite was great! The kids had lots of fun exploring the property, playing with the animals, and jumping on the trampoline.

We loved our stay! The cowboy pool is a great way to cool off after cooking over the fire. The goats are VERY friendly and fun to watch. Thank you so much for the fresh duck and chicken eggs.

I LOVED this property, spending time with the animals was definitely a huge highlight, not to mention the privacy and great hospitality. Aurora was my favorite. Such a sweet goat! I definitely recommend this stay. Thanks so much!

Very nice hosts, fun farm animals. They will let you feed them. The place is a bit junky around and the outhouse situation was not ideal so maybe byot. But it’s camping and a good location.

We arrived near dark and just stayed one night for this short trip but enjoyed our stay. No drama and woke to roosters and geese. Nice spot easy access to San Marcos.

Site was fine. Our kiddo loved interacting with the animals. Hosts were friendly and even gave our kiddo some eggs to hatch. However, we were quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the outhouse.

Great spot for tent camping! And especially for toddlers/preschoolers. Any age kids really! Farm animals are so fun to interact with and the hosts include you on the feedings. It’s so beautiful with a lot to do and they are the kindest hosts.

My partner and I had a great stay on Krystal's land. The area is beautiful and the stargazing is great. We woke up surrounded by the cutest goats, horses, and a llama. Krystal was a communicative, great host! We would definitely recommend this sit to anyone.

Amazing experience! This is a very family friendly camp site. We camped in a tent and the spot they set us up with was really nice, near the outdoor shower, outhouse, and a hammock with a string of lights hung through the trees. There are horses and ponies and goats that roam the property and come say hi and there’s some playground equipment for little kids to play on. The property is fenced in and it felt very safe to let my kids run around. It’s owned by a very sweet family, who maintain their land really well. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it’s often difficult to find places that I can feel safe out in nature with my kids and they were very accepting of my family and I. If you’re looking for a fun, quiet, family friendly spot to camp, I highly recommend staying here.

My son and I had a nice rustic one night stay. The animals periodically stopping by to say hello really made it for us. Krystal was awesome and super quick to respond to a few questions I had.

We absolutely loved tent camping on Krystal’s land! It was beautiful and nice to get away out into the country for a couple days. We loved the open atmosphere and the fact that the animals could roam free. We loved every interaction we had with her animals they were all very sweet and kept to themselves. If you’re looking to camp somewhere away from the city this is the place to go! We could not recommend Krystal’s land more! Thank you for the awesome opportunity Krystal and we will definitely be booking this place again if we find ourselves on that side of town again!

If you like or don’t mind being around farm animals near your campsite this is the place for you. Animals are friendly and was able to pet some of them. Nice property, no bother at all from anyone. I enjoyed my stay and had a great time. Thank you to the host as well as she kept me up to date and responding to my messages promptly.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful 10-acre Farm from March 6th to March 8th, 2025. Krystal and Alex were incredible hosts—so warm and welcoming! Their land is absolutely stunning, and the variety of animals made the experience even more special. They have horses, a pony, baby pony, goats, baby goats, chickens, ducks, and roosters. One of our favorite parts of the stay was getting to bottle-feed the baby goats—such a fun and unique experience! The hosts even shared fresh eggs with us, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also loved our campsite and truly enjoyed disconnecting from the hustle of everyday life for a bit. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and friendly animals, we highly recommend booking this property. You will not regret it!

Sarah’s land was great for family camping! The friendly animals made it even better and a nearby swing set and trampoline added even more fun for the kids. I would definitely recommend this spot!
