Welcome to the Golden Dome, a luxurious geodesic retreat that accommodates up to 6 guests. You'll love this unique and romantic escape! Set on 25 acres of stunning pine and cedar trees between Bastrop and Smithville, Texas, Golden Pine offers the perfect mix of nature and modern comfort. With breathtaking sunset views, a cozy yet spacious dome, and peaceful seclusion, this retreat is ideal for a relaxing getaway. Free WiFi and parking are included. The main level features a king-size bed, two sofa chairs, and a dining table with four chairs. A huge open window offers incredible views of the sunset and starlit sky. The loft provides a warm, cozy space with two sofa chairs that open into thick single-size mattresses and a soft foam floor. Additionally, two single-size beds are available upon request for extra guests. The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, and a cooktop with pots and pans. It is fully stocked with dining ware, glassware, and utensils for convenience. The dome is equipped with split-unit heating and cooling for year-round comfort, while an air vent at the top improves air circulation. A wood fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, and extra space heaters are available for colder nights. Your bathroom features a marble-top double vanity, a beautiful claw-foot tub, and a self-cleaning bidet toilet, with plush towels provided. The wraparound deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. String lights create a warm nighttime ambiance. Relax and recharge in our brand-new wellness zone, featuring a spacious 750-gallon hot tub and invigorating cold plunge. Ideal for athletes, wellness enthusiasts, or anyone seeking deep relaxation, this setup is perfect after a sauna session or a long day. Our hot tub is completely chemical-free, purified instead with Montmorillonite — a natural volcanic clay known for its detoxifying and soothing properties, offering you a clean, gentle, and restorative experience. Golden Pine is also home to Thunder, our friendly Longhorn bull who roams freely across the property. We you see him, don't forget to say hi from us!Large geodesic dome. A Unique Getaway From The City

The Golden Dome At Golden Pine

This was our first time using HipCamp, and what an incredible experience! Zvi and Thunder (the resident longhorn on site) were extremely responsive hosts and made sure we had everything that we needed for the duration of our stay. The geodesic dome was beautifully decorated with a sophisticated touch, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location was private and peaceful—a perfect getaway from the city. We loved how secluded it felt despite being a short 20 minute drive from Bastrop. One of our favorite parts was waking up to a beautiful sunrise, with the option to open the curtains and let the morning light pour in. At night, the views of the sky were absolutely stunning—perfect for stargazing and soaking in the beauty of the quiet countryside. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and recharge.
