Great sites, easy to use hookups for power and the bathrooms/showers are kept fresh and clean. Only downside for tent camping is the hard earth, be prepared for a workout hammering those stakes. (They provide some sturdier rebar stakes for use at each site)

Site 7 - The Bus Stop
Site 7 was beautiful! The showers are private, clean, hot, and easily reachable from each site. The bathrooms are clean as well. It was simple to get to and did have WiFi. Some of our partyās phones didnāt work well with it but others were perfectly fine on the WiFi so might depend on age of phone/carrier.
The site was open, felt private, and relatively flat (itās the desert, there are always going to be rocks).
The only advice I will offer is 1. Make sure you have heavy duty stakes- the ground is very hard and will bend flimsier stakes. 2. When choosing site 7, be sure to look for up coming windstorms in the weather report. The app Windy can help you. My group had a rough first night because site 7 is up on a small hill and unprotected from the wind. It nearly broke our tent and did cause troubles for other campers on at the bus stop. Those are standard risks of camping and nothing was wrong with the site, but do be aware. Would absolutely camp here again

Unique spot with beautiful views, quiet nights, hot showers and WiFi less than an hour from great trails in Big Bend and close to Terlingua. Site 3 was perfect for us with a small trailer.

Absolutely loved staying here ā¤ļø besides the natural beauty surrounding the area. I love the dino on the hillš¦. The space between the sites is also a plus. Definitely not crowded. Huge plus for hot water and super clean bathrooms. Thank you David for such a great stay and having everything we need! Until next time. š

The amenities at this campsite were great! Good WiFi, clean bathrooms, hot water, everything! Everyone was friendly and the camp was quiet and stars were bright. We definitely will come back.

The Bus Stop Campground is located nicely between the Big Bend State and National parks. Site 10 had a great sky view and view of mountain peaks with a giant valley. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and convenient to the site. Site 10 was also better for us as we were traveling with a dog. She had lots to smell and see without worrying about bothering neighbors. The campground is easy to find and the WiFi came in handy to plan our days. I would recommend checking wind ratings before you visit the desert if tent camping.

Loved the site. David was super helpful and answered all my questions very quickly by email prior to the trip. Dad stopped by to check in on us and say hello. The campground is very tight but worked for our tiny camper. My only complaint about the trip was the wind in March was relentless. Consider the time of year before your trip.

Genuinely such an amazing campsite. Everything my was clean, beautiful, and well thought out. Bathrooms were super clean & showers were great! Everything was high quality and the WiFi was the best I have ever used. The view was incredible, the golden hour would have everything glowing. BEAUTIFUL.

Great campground! The showers and bathrooms were super clean and well stocked, which is always a big win when camping. Our site had buckets with extra metal tent stakes, and those absolutely saved us when the wind gusts hit around 35 mph.
They also sell firewood on site and have charcoal grills and grates for cooking over the fire, which made meals easy. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely beautiful too.
Overall, a really well-maintained place with thoughtful amenities. Weāll definitely stay here again!

I loved tent camping at the bus stop. Directions to the camp were easy & the sunset views were incredible. Tent site had extra stakes just in case they were needed which was very much appreciated & the bathroom/shower facilities were great. Definitely will stay there again.

The Bus Stop was amazing! The running water at every site and communal showers were definitely a bonus and super nice to have. The campgrounds themselves are pretty secluded, about 5 minutes down a dirt road off the highway. Much nicer than alot of the other places we saw that were directly off the highway. Great views of the stars and super quiet all night. Would 100% stay again!

An absolute hidden gem. We reserved several for a group to hang out and we couldnāt stop talking about when the next time weād come back. Clean restrooms, nice showers and the host would respond immediately with any questions we had. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic. That is the best word I can think of to describe our visit. The location is fantastic, the bathrooms and shower are the best I have seen! We have been to several state and national parks and the facilities here are hands down the best! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience. We will be back!!

Great little spot. Nice view. Nice bathhouse. Close to town, and conveniently located to Big Bend. Great place to stargaze. Nice having electric and water at each site. Definitely recommend. Will stay here again the next time we're in the area.

Make sure you have a small SUV or larger. Due to the location, youāll need it but the views are great, the showers and bathrooms are super clean, and the host is very responsive.

If youāre looking for a camping spot that is quiet and a bit remote, this is a great spot! This was my second time camping out here and Iām already booked for a third! The bathrooms/showers are very clean and very accessible. Only advise is: be aware that winds can be a bit strong, so if youāre tent camping, be sure to take a low profile tent.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Bus Camp. We enjoyed the quiet & tranquility of the Campground, what a perfect spot. The Showers were unexpected and Amazing! Our Host David was spot on with his food recommendations as well. š

Can bike to Lajitas Airport trails from the camp.

Great location that is tucked away. The showers had hot water and were spacious. They have real toilets with flushing water. Firewood was available on site. AND they offered free Wi-Fi. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at The Bus Stop. Beautiful views. Serene nights. Potable water. Power for our van. Hot showers. Flush toilets. Responsive hosts. And close to Big Bend Ranch State Park and Terlingua. What more could you ask for? We loved our 2 nights at The Bus Stop and will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area. Highly recommend!
