My partner and I loved camping on Laura's land. We had put down our tent just a few feet away from the bubbling creek featured there. There was a port-a-potty, electricity, and potable water available. The campsites themselves have a picnic table, a moveable firepit, and a plug-in for your extension cord to use power at night. Despite being just off the road, you could barely tell over all the beautiful, lush foliage and the waterfall from the dam. There is a gas station about ten or so minutes down the road, which is convenient if you forgot something like firewood or need more ice. Laura was kind and understanding when we were late because of a medical problem, as well as when I kept calling because I was getting lost. She is a charismatic host.
My partner spent most of his time fishing, and he caught three sizeable bass, all over 10 inches. The area is rich with wildlife, so many interesting insects and birds to see. It's a beautiful little pocket of nature. My partner actually proposed (properly, with a ring this time since we haven't been able to afford one before) to me while we were here, and it was perfectly picturesque.
I will definitely recommend this spot to people, and I hope to return in the future.
