Campground and staff was great. Easy to book, easy to find and very self explanatory. Only reason I won’t go back is because someone (can’t imagine who, though) stole half my camping gear from my tent when I was away for the day. Not the staff’s fault, but apparently unsavory characters roaming around there

The grounds were beautiful and perfect for 4 people. The toilets were clean and easily accessible. My only con was how difficult it was to contact the host. The check-in directions ask you to contact the host when you’re at the gate, however, they did not respond. Then, when at the campsite, I texted the number to purchase firewood and they did not respond till about 3 hours later when we had already found some by the river. Fortunately, we are seasoned campers, but I could imagine how this could play a big part in a first-timers experience.

Have an available host, was not able to contact Geronimo, or whatever his/her name was, either via message or text, the voicemail was full, no one would answer. The place was very sketch, it well kept.

Notes mentioned a number to call upon arrival. No one answered. There was absolutely no one on site to provide service or attention. The camp was empty and left an eerie abandoned feleing. Still have not received a message back via the app from the host either after 24 hours.

Camping at Geronimo's land reminded me of camping as a Boy Scout in my early teens. It was awesome to share the nostalgia with my daughter as we roasted marshmallows over the campfire. We were able to enjoy all that the place had to offer, like the rope swing into the frigid Colorado river, fishing poles available at the riverside, the strategically placed hammock providing a peaceful, relaxing view of the water and even the little old play park. Our stay was uninterrupted, except for the welcomed firewood delivery on the first night. This facilitated the great Daddy-Daughter Camping tradition we have come to enjoy annually.
PS. This is not glamping, this place is for REAL CAMPERS (you know yourselves).

6 of us camped out right by the river. The host crew was extremely accommodating making sure we had enough wood, and offering us the fish they caught! It felt secluded and like our own little slice of paradise. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can!!

Geronimo was very accommodating and made my stay pleasant. The property grounds are nice. Very spacious. It is a sanctuary for musicians so be prepared for some potential noise and lively action. They had a light show when I stayed there and a drum circle that went on most of the night. I enjoyed it, but if you’re looking for a remote, quiet spot, this might not be the best choice for you.

I didn't meet the host personally, but I did get a chance to speak with him on the phone. Super nice guy. There are a few things to be aware of.
There was shooting at night, across the river. Not the hosts fault, but it can be unnerving when you're in a strange place. The porta potty was in desperate need of servicing. I would advise that you bring a camping toilet.
The camping spots are not private. If you don't mind that, it's perfect. The river is nice though.
The camping spots were not marked very well. We realized we were in the right spot by looking at the photos.
It's not a terrible place. You'll need to adjust your expectations and decide what will work for you.

Campsite 4 - Texas Music River Ranch Campgrounds
We were close to the river for fishing. The campsite was clean and quiet, the host were friendly and brought you firewood the first evening there and also checked on everyone each day. Our 3 little dogs loved the area and we went for long walks during the day.

No easy access to the river if you're booked at campsites 9, 10, or 11. Also, grounds didn't seem very well maintained. Some picnic tables were unusable because they were so old so when you reserve, a picnic table isn't guaranteed. Lastly, lots of gunfire from a possible nearby shooting range? We heard gunshots well past midnight that made it difficult to sleep.

Last minute trip to Austin, and found this campsite on the way. Once we arrived it seem that we were camping on someone’s land, which we did not mind. There were port-a-potty on site, and showers as well. However, if you are okay with the port-a-potty being not AS clean. But if it it gets the job done, then that is all you need. The shower was okay, the pressure wasn’t too strong but I was able to get what I needed to be done. Overall the experience wasn’t too bad, I wish access to the water was a little easier as there were overgrown branches and grass in the way. If that was cut down, I think my experience would’ve been a lot better. Our dogs enjoyed being able to run around which was a plus for me, it was quiet except for the near by gun shots. if the bench was updated, as our bench seat was broken and proped up with a brick, and grass, and branches were maintained I think it would’ve been better. I think the sink near the port-a-potty did not have water in there for others to wash their hands. A few things seemed like it hasn’t been maintained. But you can get wood fire per request. I think this place would be nice to kayak, and fish if the branches and grass wouldn’t scratch you up.

Everything was clean, the host was very accommodating. Right next to the river for kayaking/fishing. Great spot for people who are self sufficient. No one bothered you, let you just relax.

What you expect wile camping ⛺️
My wife and son had a great time. Water was nice. Only thing you can hear other people on the other side shooting guns all night but nothing to loud still kinda far. Didn’t scare my dogs at all 👍🏽. Overall 80 out of 100

Campsite was very nice, hosts were amazing. They had issues with the water when we visited, but offered to get us water if needed. The only issue was waking up in the middle of the night to gunshots and loud music from the neighbors across the river - but that’s not the responsibility of the hosts and since it was not mentioned in any other reviews, I believe this was a rare occurrence.

This is my second time visiting the camp site with my family. The camp site is off leash dog area so it was perfect for my dog’s 1 year birthday. Easy to access to water for kayaking! My dog enjoyed swimming! Fantastic place if you have a well mannered dog!

NO HOOKUPS! NOT ACTUALLY AN RV SITE!
We arrived to the Texas Music River Ranch and immediately had trouble discerning if we were in the right place. Minimal signage and wayfinding with roads that went multiple directions had us confused. We eventually found the “office”, which was among a dilapidated collection of sheds and outbuildings without obvious signage. They directed us to our site down near the river, but upon seeing the site, it was clearly not meant for RVs. It was overgrown, with a dilapidated picnic table. There were no hookups in sight, and when I returned to the office to inquire about hookups, the attendant was confused and said he would send someone down. About 20 minutes later when someone came, they informed us that the only power and water available was at a pole directly behind the office (not attached to any of the RV sites). He told us that these sites were not even intended as RV sites, which was obvious given the lack of an RV pad. Thankfully the weather was temperate enough that we decided we could get by without hookups for the night. I messaged the host through Hipcamp and have still yet to get a response over 24 hours later. We are working to get at least a partial refund.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this property. It was junky with all sorts of sheds and debris, not maintained and overgrown, and clearly not very organized. If you decide to camp here, know that there are absolutely not RV spots with hookups, despite what the listings say.
