Terlingua Ranch is 192,000 acres of desert and mountains between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park in far SW Texas. Our campsites are in the area of the Terlingua Ranch Lodge, which features a swimming pool, cafe, laundry, bathhouse, disc golf course, access to hiking trails, and other amenities. Terlingua Ranch is the perfect venue for your basecamp to Big Bend adventures, family reunions, and myriad other activities in the area.

Clean, quiet and beautiful views! Cafe was amazing! If you have Apple Maps, type in Terlingua ranch lodge and should get you there! Road there is mostly paved but last 3 miles was a solid dirt road. It’s roughly an hour to the gates of big bend. All in all, really great place to stay!

Unexpectedly AMAZING. 360 degrees surrounded by mountains with plenty to explore. The showers and restaurant came in handy. Everyone was friendly. The campsite was clean with trash cans. Everything went perfectly. I can't recommend this place enough!

This was mine and my wife’s first real camping trip where we would truck tent and we were nervous to say the least. The camping ground was a perfect introduction for us with the perfect amount of seclusion and privacy while still having the convenience of clean restrooms and showers after all day hiking at Big Bend! A special thanks to the staff for laughing off the fact we didn’t know where our spot was the first night coming in late and ended up in an area we weren’t supposed to be. We can’t wait to come back to Big Bend and will be staying here again!

The space was gorgeous. Quiet. Clean. 24/7 access to the shop and security. Very friendly adorable staff. Bad Rabbit was cute. Next time we go we will for sure call to verify if a band will be there as shown on the listing. Also the listing popped up as close to our searched destination of Balmorhea State Park. It is nowhere close to it. It’s o er 2 hours away. Closer to Big Bend. This really kinda messed w our trip. This is an app problem. So if we go back to Big Bend a 3rd time this is a possibility. It’s right under a mountain and beautiful.

We stayed 2 nights in May and it was hot during the day but perfect at night. The pool was SUCH a blast, was clean and made this campsite so so worth it. It felt great to get in the water. Bad rabbit cafe was delicious and reasonably priced. The stars at night are beautiful! The site is surrounded by mountains, they are absolutely stunning both day and night. Would stay again! Bring food and water if you get hungry past 8 though, as it’s quite a drive to anything open past 8

The location was easy to find. We decided to spend the night in a tent. I would not return as a tent guest. You hear cars coming in and out of the site on a dirt road, which is loud, all night long with HIGH BEAMS as they weaved up and down the hill. No one followed the dark hours rule from 10pm-7am. The tent sites were REALLY close together & RVs in the same area. The pool was GREAT! Very nice. Very limited chairs. Bring your own. The stars are beautiful as well as the sunset. We’d go back with an RV or camper. Also, it was 97° during the day and a dust storm blew through (35 MPH winds) dropping temperatures to 53° at night. Come prepared for all weather. It was definitely an experience :) The bathhouses were decent for being outdoors. Showers not as much, bring flip flops to shower in.

This property is GORGEOUS. Fantastic views, amazing stars, pool and restaurant on-site are super clutch, hiking trail with an awesome view of Big Bend, and reliable Wi-Fi between the campground and restaurant. Was here almost a week and had a fantastic time.

Really cool spot nice and secluded. Ground is full of rocks and broke almost all of my tent stakes trying to stake it in. Also the road to it is partially unpaved.

Pretty good for the price (only reason I went for this place), the value is definitely appreciable. Friendly people and staff. Showers and a cafe that opens at 7am is pretty helpful. It takes about 90 mins to get to the Chisos basin from here, so plan out the travel and logistics accordingly. It might be hard to do early morning hikes such as lost mine while staying here, you would also be driving 3+ hrs everyday, I found it doable but it definitely was a chore. I would suggest getting early so you can have the best pick of the campground, some have hard rock and it's tough to pitch stakes. There will be Javelinas running around at night, I didn't find them aggressive but something to keep a note of.

Beautiful spot surrounded by rocky peaks. Restaurant food is good. Showers good. Plenty of chances to interact with other campers at the restaurant. But be aware it is a long way off the main road. A half hour. Another half hour to National Park west entrance. Last three miles of road is washboard dirt. Passable in a car but slow going.

The Ranch was incredible well taken care of. The ability to have a hot shower and use the restroom at anytime was incredible. The tent sites are awesome some 5 miles outside the Big Bend NP. Also the pool and restaurant blew my expectations away. The cook knows how to make some great food.

It was very nice. Seemed very safe. We camped in the tent area Dec 31- Jan 2. Our favorite part was the cafe. It was open 7am-9pm, so we could be in there early in the morning and late at night when it’s dark. It gets dark pretty early, so it was pretty nice to have somewhere to go. The scenery was spectacular here. Would recommend, be prepared for the cold nights if sleeping in a tent.

Checked in after hours, map was easy to read and I was the only one staying in the upper sites (on a Friday night). It was extremely quiet and the stars were amazing!! The upper sites are right by a trail, which was so cool to watch the sunrise from. Would’ve loved to stay here more than one night! Highly recommend.

It was a great experience at the ranch. Everything was walking distance from the site. Great service, friendly staff. Cafe also had good food. Even played a round of disc golf on their course, which was an adventure. Definitely would stay there again!
