Want a secluded getaway under the stars, away from the city life and lights, and just peace and tranquility. The possibilities are endless. At night you can sit amongst the stars on the upper patio deck, or just enjoy them with a campfire. Retreat to The Sanctuary at Stunning Sunrise Farm, and enjoy the stars and of course, the cows and baby calves. This property has been in the family for well over 100 years. This cabin was built by my own hands, with lots of love and pride. It definitely has its quirks that make it different, yet still amazing. The stairs to the upper floor is a steep incline/decline. Around the area: We are located approximately 15 minutes from the town of Decatur, 30 minutes from Denton and 1 hour from Fort Worth. Our property is located at the edge of the LBJ Grasslands. Within the LBJ Grasslands there is approximately 700 acres of hiking and biking trails as well as wildlife watching and a few lakes in which you can swim, fish, paddle board, kayak of just picnic. Also within 10 minutes there is the Eagle Canyon Raceway, Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds shooting range and a little community Greenwood with lots of history and an awesome burger, fries, or catfish dinner.

    Great spot and great hosts! It was a hot night, but cabin is in a shady spot and there was a nice breeze!

    This place is peaceful & comfy. Plenty of space inside & out to relax while taking in the calm of natural surroundings. Shane was very nice & his dog Luna was so sweet!! I would stay again for sure!

    Shane and Jessica were very welcoming. They checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Shane provided a drum of clean non-potable water for us to clean and use. They even brought us some freshly picked peaches from their tree. The cabin has a generator in the event you would need electricity and the cabin is well set up. It was a great time and provided much needed tranquility.
