Great camping spot for family
Such a beautiful place. I feel the brush needed to be cut down more but that’s literally the only thing that would make this camping spot better. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Good stop
Had site 4 and we were car camping. It worked out perfectly. Others at site 2 both RV sites were filled. Cabin was rented and large double wide was also rented and I still felt like we had plenty of privacy. Bathrooms were nice and the river beautiful. I went up to shower and there was no water called host and he answered immediately to let know of a water line break he had sent a message but I missed ir. But in less than an hour everything was working

Sparrow Bend was AMAZING. We can’t wait to go back. We camped right by the river, enjoyed a starry sky and woke up to a gorgeous hill country sunrise. Angela was a responsive host and answered all our questions right away. Thank you Angela!

Forest 2
Perfect Except for Noise Pollution
I visited with friends and their dog for the '24 Eclipse. Forest 2 is on the edge of the property and felt very private, especially with nobody at Forest 1, and there was a cute, friendly mule across the neighbor's fence that visited for pets. You need to walk about 500 feet from the car parking area to the site. The bathrooms are two enclosed flush toilets and the building enclosing the two stalls has AC and good ventilation. There is a large outdoor sink and two outdoor showers with doors and hot water. There is a firewood pile and QR code to pay for wood.
The forest sites as well as the RV sites and cabins are at the top of a slope that leads to the river. One of the river sites is actually out on the open stone beach, the rest are just at the edge of the tree line. The river was relatively shallow but nice and cool with lots of fish and birds around. Angela and her husband were especially responsive, friendly and easygoing. They did a great job of making us feel comfortable. My only complaint is the noise pollution and overcrowding in the general area. Every square inch of space along the river is owned, inhabited property and the limestone wall in the river bend causes noise to bounce back into the site. We could hear home construction, children and dogs all day and into the night, so it didn't feel remote or terribly peaceful. There were many other dogs onsite and audible in the surrounding area which could be an issue with a reactive dog. Regardless, I'd def come back!
