What makes Robin's Nest Sooo Unique among other treehouses? - First, Its a REAL treehouse (not a stilt house near the trees.) - A large, private, beautiful, Master Bath suite in the trees with you. (not an outhouse or shared shower connected to someone's house) - Natural Swimming Pond w/ canoe, kayaks, fishing poles and more. - A large, very private 2 person hot tub next to the fire pit and upper pond. (not chlorinated shared water) ( we don't charge you for the firewood) - Quiet clean AC unit, but also tons of windows and breeze in the shade. (you wont find mold in our well maintained ac unit) - Several balconies, all private and with views. (sunrise from one deck, sunset from two others) - All kinds of lighting and skylights everywhere. - A cushioned, heated floor and electric fireplace in the winter. - A rope hung, swinging queen day bed. - Snacks, camp foods oils and spices, lots of pillows and extra linens. - Complete privacy. (if you don't like privacy don't come here) - You get the entire Holler, from treehouse to swimming hole all to yourselves. (Well, just you and the wild critters) Digital Detox in the comfort and complete privacy of the whole Holler ! Robin's Nest is a real treehouse sitting atop 7 oaks in the Circle R holler. Our place is usually quiet, shaded and very very private. With wooded walking trails, three ponds in the holler, a canoe, 2 kayaks, firepit, hammocks and so much more. Only a quick jump from Hwy 183, you'll be close to all the amenities of Lockhart, the best BBQ in Texas. You'll have everything you need to enjoy your mini adventure. If you want to really know what the Robin's Nest experience is like, read the reviews. We Hope to see you soon at your escape in the woods of our Holler. One day won't be enough! Here's what a recent guest said: "A beautiful and magical escape" Wow! There is not one negative mention I can type out about our adventures at the beautiful and magical Robin’s Nest. Myself and my two young daughters were warmly welcomed by Shellie’s most thoughtful design of her secret hideout amongst the oaks. It was a quick drive from a busy day in Austin where the nature and quiet we’re so needed. Shellie has thought of everything for this amazing getaway. We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. Do yourself a favor and invite the day with a grateful heart while showering in the open air shower. Sun rising, view of robins and chickadees while appreciating the whisper of the oaks all around. At Robins Nest we were explorers. We were artist, we were fisherman. We were silly, we were fun. We lived out every child’s dream, including my own inner child. We were storytellers. We were one with nature. We were dreamers. We disconnected and reconnected to ourselves and each other. I highly recommend this getaway and look forward to a visit once again. For those wanting more of a glamping experience, Shellie thought of that too. There’s outlets everywhere imaginable, hot water, ac, blow dryer, fridge and so on." Malory L.With Cold AC, Heated floor & mattress, electric fireplace and Epic steamy private bath up in the trees. Glamping at it's best. Romance for couples, Adventure for families. Robin's Nest is a REAL treehouse. Situated in seven oaks, by the waters of the holler at Circle R Ranch and wildlife reserve. Lots of shade and fresh air. Relax in the hanging queen day bed. Or push the tree house bed out onto the balcony and sleep under the stars. Enjoy the cowboy tub, canoe, kayaks. pond swimming, hammocks. Close to world famous Lockhart BBQ and San Marcos River tubing. But we think you'll not want to leave the peace of the Holler☺️

Robin's Nest Real Treehouse
Robin's Nest
Sleeping in a treehouse was on my bucket list, and I was not disappointed. Shellie has thoughtfully decorated every inch inside this "real" treehouse and stocked it with activities for any age. There are games and painting supplies to keep every member mindfully busy. Being disconnected from the electronic world can be intimidating for some but my wife and I found it to be relaxing and rejuvenating. Sitting on the porch and sipping coffee at day break was unbeatable as we marveled at nature and the serenity that surrounded us. Not to brag....but how many of us can sit in a hot bath at night and stare up at the stars!!! The wife did not want to come home.

Robin's Nest Real Treehouse
We cherished our time at the treehouse. Everything was so magical, and out host Shellie was very communicative and accommodating. There was everything you needed to have a rejuvenating retreat. Art supplies and inspiration, cooking supplies, fire pit, plenty of space to explore, and my personal favorite: the outdoor shower!! Thank you Shellie for providing such a magical experience. We hope to be back soon!

Robin's Nest Real Treehouse
Great place! My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the treehouse and we will definitely be back. The actual treehouse itself is very comfortable and cozy. Our favorite part was the swimming pond. There is a canoe and we had so much fun using it. Thank you for a great time!

Treehouse Fun
I booked Robin's Treehouse for my boyfriend's 29th birthday. It was very easy to find and I was surprised at how simple the check-in process was. The walkways were swept and there was a new citronella candle waiting for us which was very much appreciated. If you happen to forget anything, Shellie has everything you'd need. We loved admiring the art inside the treehouse, using the outdoor shower and tub, going fishing (we caught one!), feeding the ducks, and cooking delicious meals. The only suggestion I can think of is moving some of the firewood inside or to a covered area so it doesn't get wet. We weren't able to make a fire because everything was so damp from it raining the day before - we tried cutting some wood with the axe but still no luck getting it to light. If it rains before your trip, I would suggest bringing your own firewood. Thankfully Shellie had a hot plate upstairs so we used that to cook our meals - we made creamy sun-dried tomato chicken, potatoes, skillet cookie, bacon, eggs, and sausage! We loved the sounds of nature at night and relaxing in the outdoor swinging bed (the fan inside the bed is perfect!). Be aware of your surroundings when you walk because the spiders like making webs on the beams of the treehouse, but you're outside so what can you expect. Overall we had a really great trip and made lots of special memories!

Tree House Has It All!
I loved this place! It has everything we need. There’s snacks, games, art supplies, a bathroom/shower combo, a comfy bed and secluded. There’s ducks, a few ponds and tree coverage from the sun. We loved that people have written in the journals and left artwork. I would definitely come back. I do caution guests with older dogs that the wooden bridge has slots in between and my dog is clumsy so he got stuck a few times. Our host was very helpful and responsive. The place was in very clean too. We saw lots of spiders (which are friendly!) but otherwise they gave us our freedom to roam around their home. We relaxed in the hammocks and took the little trail a few times for exercise. This location is near San Marcos, Lockhart and New Braunfels… so it’s close to swimming holes, hiking and exploring. There’s a section of the Guadeloupe River very close to this tree house that doesn’t have too many visitors. There’s also nice cafes nearby and gas stations if you need to pick up some items. Instructions to the place are very clear and Google maps worked great getting there. Highly recommend and would love to come back.
