Pecan Grove Camping Retreat
Great meadow to camp in. Wagon sure helped. Solitude except for another camper. Hot night and morning hot shower probably not the combo most desire as the cold mixed in too sparingly. Talked to the horse, cat was sweet, dogs perhaps sweet but over excited I think upon our approach. We felt safe even when the unexpected fellow camper trudged into the meadow at midnight and then went thru the fence and back. The town, Blanco, is well known to us, my brother built a house here , it's grown alot but still quaint despite the commercial strip along 281. We could here the trucks . But that broke the pall of humidity that hung over us. No fault of the host mind you. East to reserve and check out.

These Guys rescued us! Thank you!
Due to issues with a different campsite, we were stranded 4 hours away from home with no place to stay on Memorial day weekend when all hotels are full!
I have texted these guys and took us in at 9 pm in the evening!
I cannot say how grateful we are that they were able to respond on such short notice!

Pecan Grove Camping Retreat
Pecan Grove was a nice peaceful camping area. We happened to go on a weekend where there wasn't but one other tent camper there at the same time we were. Was perfect for our little camping trip with our 4 yr old. He loved the little "flower trail" nature trail he would give us guided tours of it.
The trek to our spot from our car was about 1.5- 2 football fields, but you could set up closer to the tent parking area if you wanted. Showers were good, compost potty was a cool set up. The potable water is near the shower to the left. They have a really cool little community hang out spot near the tent parking area. She provids a gas and Charcoal grill as well as a sitting area around a fire pit. My kiddo loved seeing the 2 friendly dog's that sometimes were out running around.
This isn't far from Blanco state park so we just payed for day trips there, so we could come and go as needed. We really wanted some water time and was able to do that at the state park.
We all had a fantastic time and so many ppl have asked about where we stayed bc of the pictures i posted. Our trip was a nice quiet visit, but i can see this place being busy now that it's warming up.

What a great place to stay! My sister, her husband, and I are doing a 5 day bicycle tour in the Texas Hill Country. I have been rent camping since we started and Jennifer’s place came up. It was clean, quiet, very friendly, and just a great place to spend the night or even a long weekend. She has tent camping and also has small houses to stay in if you are not twmt camping. It was perfect and I would recommend it to any staying in the general area!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pecan Grove Camping Retreat. We were lucky enough to have the meadow to ourselves the first night, and it was such a cool secluded spot to do some spring camping in. The composting toilets/outdoor shower were kept so much cleaner and nicer than other similar facilities I've used before. The hosts (both animal and human!) were kind and welcoming, even going so far as to drive us some forks out to our site when we realized we'd somehow forgotten utensils. The tent sites are close together, so if other campers are there you will be very aware of each other, but most of the sites offer a kind of "secluded nook" to tuck your tent up into for more privacy.

This was a great camping spot! There were 2 other groups there, but it felt very private. Jennifer was a great host and was super helpful.

Beautiful property with a horse 2 dogs a cat and a huge yard with plenty of camping spots. The first two days we arrived the weather was horrible and Joann let us stay in her guest house for a small extra fee! She truly saved us with that! Thanks!

Great spot to stay. Our kids enjoyed seeing the horse and had plenty of room to run around and play. Jennifer was very kind to us!
A couple things to keep in mind: if you stay in the meadow, you will have to figure out how to get all of your stuff to the site. Jennifer provided us with a wagon, but just keep it in mind that less is more here.
Also, you can hear car traffic from this spot, this is not as remote as some camping spaces.

Had a pleasant stay at Pecan Grove. It was only us and 2 other groups the night we stayed there, it was nice and peaceful. Easy check-in process with straightforward steps to follow. Would definitely recommend.

Very cool place! Jennifer and Mike were very welcoming and helpful. Jennifer’s dog Cody is the sweetest pup. Very friendly with our dog. We made a fire, cooked hot dogs, and watch the stars. Slept like a baby in our tent. The mini houses and campsite are pretty separate but very easy to walk back and forth. I hope we can visit again soon!

Highly recommend the pecan grove for your camping needs in the Blanco area! Access to a composting toilet and a shower was great. Perfect fire pit. Hosts were responsive and very helpful. Would stay again!

The directions sent to us were accurate even in the dark and Mike met us by the yellow house to show us our campsite. Our campsite was the one closest to the parking, private and under the shade of a big tree with a fire ring and an toilet nearby. There were other campsites that were farther from the parking lot that are more secluded and beautiful. Mike helps ferry your camping stuff with a golf cart or you can use a dolly keeping the whole camping section quiet and safe. The outdoor shower cabins look really cute but we couldn’t use them since we had to leave early.

This was my first Hipcamp experience and I had a great time! The directions to the location were very easy to follow and Jennifer was very timely on her responses. The site was great and I pretty much had it all to myself (one other small group). A couple of the spots were a little tight at the end, but it wasn't a problem at all. As you walk in, you also go right by all the other locations to camp. I think a few more pictures and possibly the site map might be a little helpful for those looking to visit. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I got there. There was also a little road noise at night, but not much. All in all, I had a great time and was very pleased with the location.

This place was made to be an amazing camping ground! The owners were very accommodating and helpful upon arrival and then once you get into camping its like you're alone in a beautiful hillside forest. The amenities of the fire circles, precut wood, kindling piles, and sandy areas for tent camping were perfect. The only negative is just a bit of road noise but other than that it was perfect! We will be staying there again!

This was such a surprise! We booked Jennifer's land for the thanksgiving break for 2 nights after trying futilely to get a campsite in one of the state parks near Austin. We went in with no expectations but this was such a nice campground and so private! Everyone including my 2.5 year old loved this place!

Stayed here on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful experience! Jennifer was super helpful. The property was peaceful and well kept. We loved being able to grill and use the fire pit at our campsite - plenty of firewood too!

We loved our stay on Jennifer B's Land. We had a lot of space and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. They welcomed us warmly and gave us all the information we needed. Just be prepared for parking and moving your stuff (with a provided wagon). There is also a little road noise, which didn't bother us at all, but good to know beforehand. This is a great location for trips to close by towns and state parks. We would love to come back.
