Site 3 - Sandy Ridge Camping

We have six primitive camping spots providing privacy and serenity. All sites have a fire ring and picnic table. Sites#3 has an open area that is surrounded by forest, which gives privacy and windbreak on windy days. Site #4 has woods on two sides, view to a pasture and pecan orchard.
Important: Arrival time should be no later than 9pm. Please inquire before booking if your arrival time might be later. Thank you.
Running water and flushing toilet are near the farmhouse/greenhouse. Please bring potable water and be prepared to take away all your trash. Please make special note that the only toilet is near the farmhouse/greenhouse.
The campsites are in proximity to an operational pecan nursery with two families residing on the property. You can enjoy wooded walking paths in the 80 acre forest and pastures, ponds and wildlife, including deer, wild hogs, hawks, owls, roadrunners, cardinals, jays, woodpeckers, mockingbirds and many other species of birds. Small mammals such as armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels are often seen, and the property is also awesome for star gazing. Please watch out for snakes, scorpions , pesky mosquitoes and ticks. No guns/hunting, vehicle off roading, or ATV's allowed.
Four campers are included in the listed price, but if you have a larger group, just let us know. There is an additional fee of $5 per person per night for more than 4 campers (over the age of 7). There are no lights at the sites and it gets dark earlier than you think. No arrivals after 9 pm.
Check in after 1:30pm; Check Out before 11am.
Important NOTES:
A. With COVID-19 Hipcampers are responsible to bring their own toilet paper, soap or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. We will disinfect the flushable toilet twice daily. (Hand sanitizer provided by flush toilet.)

C. Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am. Please respect our neighbors, fellow campers and enjoy nature's night noises.
D. Visiting the pond area: All visitors/campers can visit the pond. Parking available by the game feeder (do not drive down the hill).!! Please respect the privacy of camp site #1 and #4 area.
E. Depending on rainfall during the wettest winter/spring months, Site #2, #3 and #5 might be only available to campers with 4WD vehicles.
