Slice of heaven right on the river.
What a great place! We had everything we needed at this spot. This place is right on the river, and also right in the middle of town. We were able to walk to the nearby market, and really enjoyed sitting in the river.

Great place to stay! Hosts were overly accommodating with the amenities. Very spacious. Would consider staying again or recommending to a friend!

Beautiful spot by the river with lovely trees and friendly, responsive hosts. We loved getting to walk over to the river cafe and shops from our campsite. Will definitely be back!

Great location in Martindale, beautiful river access, wonderful fire pit. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back! Plenty of open space to park our RV with convenient hook up for electricity and water.

Highly recommend this campsite! Very private and so nice to have direct river access. Angela and Armando have gone out of their way to make the site special. The outdoor shower was amazing and fire pit was so nice. We will definitely be back!

Slice of Heaven is appropriately named! Such an oasis, and being able to stroll to a fantastic cafe to hear live musicians in the evenings? PHENOMENAL.

This place is almost perfect! We had a family gathering with 3 generations and couldn't have asked for a better spot, nice big grassy lawn, some big shade trees, and the river just down the stairs. The water was the perfect temperature and it ranged from ankle deep at the bottom of the stairs to neck deep just upstream. BBQ grill, picnic table, a place to rinse off and electricity if needed. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming, they even gave us some of their surplus fresh tomatoes!
The only downside is a little more shade would have been welcome, but it's the middle of summer, so if you get a little too hot, just go dip in the river again.

This was our second time staying. We enjoyed our stay as much as the first time. A great little hidden spot to have the river to ourselves.

Had a great time! Took our family of five for a long weekend (our children are 5 yrs, 3 yrs and 3 months). Clean, well maintained camping area, awesome outdoor shower, excellent spot on the river, and super friendly / attentive hosts. We’re already planning a return trip.

We stayed for a few days and it was perfect! We brought our travel trailer and were just steps to the river. We enjoyed the fire pit nearby as well. Angela and Armando quickly responded to messages to resolve any issues. We look forward to returning.

This spot was perfect! Loved being right on the water and even though you are technically "in town" there wasn't noise pollution. The cafe near by did do live music in the evenings but we loved the soft background sounds and they didn't go late. Our group used our kayaks and paddle boards on the water. We grilled out, played bocce ball, sat around the fire, read by the river and more. It was the exact relaxing weekend we needed. Angela and Armando were quick to respond and at the ready to aid in any issue that came up (which there weren't really any). I'm happy to know of a great spot to camp on by the river, not too far from Austin, and in a safe environment. We will be back!

My hisband and I just returned from a relaxing weekend at Angela and Armando's place.
Being 1st time Glampers we were a little nervous. The tent was beautifully appointed. Tea, coffee, AC, mini fridge.
An outdoor hot shower under the trees and stars just added to the experience. We brought along champagne and charcoutarie and the firepit stocked with firewood, the Texas stars and the sound of the river nearby made for a romantic evening.
Martindale is a sweet town on the verge of becoming a hidden hip place to visit.

We loved this spot. It’s beautiful with plenty of room and a beautiful rock pathway down to river. The outdoor shower is fantastic and the yellow portapotty next to it is super clean with a fun sink outside.
We loved the music almost next door at the Martindale cafe and we also kayaked the San Marcos river and got out at our campsite.

We had such a great time at the river. It was extra cold and windy that night but plenty of stars and a roaring fire made the evenings memorable. The outdoor toilet surprisingly had a sunk and shower! Plenty of hand soap for hand cleaning and spacious for social distancing camping. A lovely, yurt on-site for those preferring to have comfy conveniences of a bed and temperature controlled. Close to coffee and tacos down the road. You love to go back in the summer and hang out in the river.

My family and i had a great time at this site. The children loved the river and room to run around. It was a great spot to just relax and breath.... Angela and Armando were very welcoming and gave you your privacy. Will definitely come back to this site.....

It was nice. It was like staying in someone's backyard with neighbors though, not secluded. Nice to get away from your own house and not be crowded with other people. I would recommend bringing tubes and going tubing. Not a lot else to do. There's a coffee shop that's nice you can walk to.

Beautiful and private location with great shade trees on a quite stretch of river. Angela and Armando gave us our space but also checked in on us half way through our stay to make sure we were enjoying everything. Just what we were looking for.

This little hidden gem was absolutely perfect! Our hosts were so sweet and made sure we were taken care of. The steps went right down into the river and it was great for little ones! This secluded site was perfect for a weekend getaway. We will definitely be back!!

This was absolutely a slice of heaven ..We camp all the time and this was truly such a great place,we even extended our stay another night.. we will no longer seek anyother camp site..THIS IS THE SPOT! Water levels are perfect, site is well maintained and the host are fantastic!.. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Amazing spot right next to the river . The spot is perfect, I could not ask for anything more . The river is just steps away . Right next door is a cafe that served live music outside . Lots of places to explore nearby. The hosts were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I will be back again .
