Camp by the bridge!

We went tent camping on Kegans land and had a great time. We loved the bridge and the sky full of stars. Campsites right by the river with firepits, grills, picnic tables and a bathroom with a shower. We were very happy.

Pleasant, but did not meet expectat

Overall, we had a good experience because we were the only ones there for one of the nights, and the second night, the guests parked far from us in a picnic area. If someone had been parked in the RV spot next to us, it would have felt very crowded. The park is right next to the Regency Bridge, which is why I chose it. It was very pleasant to walk around the park to view the bridge from different angles. There were mowed sections which made a walk to the river very pleasant. The night sky is amazing. It was awesome to sit at our campsite and identify constellations. Now for why the shoulder shrug on the rating: There is only one toilet available. It is in a large bathroom that has a double sink, changing table, and shower. Still -- only one toilet for the entire park. There are no picnic tables at the RV sites. The sites are unpaved on fine red dirt. This was not a problem for us because we use a large outdoor rug, but some people might not like it. The park advertises river access, but we didn't see any way to easily launch a small boat. The bank had heavy tall vegetation at the water's edge. Access to the park and the bridge is via unpaved county roads. Accessing the park when coming from the south requires going over the bridge which has a gross vehicle weight of 8000 pounds. Overall, we had a great time. The bridge is unique and fun to explore, and this is the only camping close to it.

Awesome stargazing spot!

Awesome! Place to view the Stars and the bridge is great for sunsets and sunrises enjoyed my time there and the host was very responsive. I will be back for the next black moon for some more stargazing!

Shasta camper stay with dog

This was such a peaceful spot to just relax and unwind. I got to dive into a good book, take a stroll with my dog, go watch the sunset and sunrise on the suspension bridge, and do a little grilling and marshmallow roasting. Gorgeous spot. Dogs aren’t allowed into the camper, so that was the only downfall- as I wasn’t aware of that until I got to the location and it was on a sign inside the camper. I have a Saint Bernard- so thankfully I put her in my jeep and kept the AC going- definitely advertise that for sure! Everything else was breathtaking, and it was so quiet. Bathrooms are directly beside the camper and close to all the other campsites- full shower with hot water, towels, soap, even a baby changing station if you need! I’ll let the pics do it justice!

Lush peaceful campsite!

This was such a lovely place to stay! Plenty of beautiful trees and shade, some nice grassy areas towards the river, tons of space to spread out! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to others.

Quaint little campground.

It was a nice quiet campground right next to the suspension bridge. You can easily access the bridge for pictures. Camp also had river access, but it was muddy the day we stayed.

It was exactly as advertised. The river was low. Rainfall is needed. But….we will stay there again. If you want a camping experience off the beaten path, this is it. Only cars heard were those coming to and from the campground. The bridge is super cool. Place was clean. Hosts were attentive. Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful perfectly manicured landscaped resort campground. The swimming pool was also at a resort quality level. The campground was hilly making the views breathtaking. Everything was so well maintained and clean. Will definitely recommend FireFly campgrounds to family and friends as well as go back there myself.

Coyote calling Saturday night

It was a nice cool night! While most state parks were booked on a Saturday night. Coyotes were howling at night.. made it perfect!! Moon was full!! We were able to find this great location within 5min.. This will be our go to site!

We enjoyed camping on Kegan's remote, interesting land. It was a perfect place for a one night stop. The directions were easy. Wifi worked great. We woke up to about a dozen Turkey roaming around camp!

Overall was a fun experience! The historical suspension bridge is worth the stay here. Bathrooms and RV were clean and ok and no problem to access. A/c worked well. The place just has so much potential. A little work to fix up some things would go a long way and a deck or some kind of riverside space (not in tall grass) would have been appreciated. The river was not flowing good and looked like mud; we brought paddleboards but didnt get in as the water looked stagnant but it is the end of summer so I wasnt too hopeful that we could get in when booking. Came mainly for bridge which did not disappoint. Quiet and felt private enough even though there were other guests. The place just needs some TLC to be a fabulous spot.

Amazing Spot with Bridge!

We stayed in the littlest camper (Still a full bed good for 2 people) and had a great time with my partner. We booked day before and all communications were really quick responses and professional. It's a little more rugged, but for that price and not having to pitch a tent *with* air conditioning and a shower... perfect. We loved watching the sunset from the suspension bridge that didn't really get much car traffic so it was a calm and bugless place to enjoy the nature. The water was really high from a flash flood, so we weren't able to go swimming, but had a great time around the fire, swings and walking around. Note: San Saba is the closest place to get food and the food options have really limited hours so bring something for the fridge if you don't want to drive 20 min. Will go back!

The Regency Bridge Park was a nice quiet place to base a quick getaway. The river was up, so kayaking was fun but the fishing wasn’t very productive. Still enjoyed trying! We would have appreciated the area being mowed frequently to reduce the bugs that made evening hanging out challenging.

Camping with the swinging bridge

We loved staying the weekend here. It was an absolutely beautiful property and the bridge is really cool to see. We took kayaks and the river was high so we had a great time enjoying the views from the water. They also have a bathhouse and bathroom that was very well kept and easy to access with a code. There was a little playground and a few different gardens around the property which were a fun bonus. We have three children, a 6,5 and 1 year old and they all enjoyed it. 10/10 Definitely recommend.

My boyfriend, 2 dogs and I went camping here this weekend 5/17-5/19 it was beautiful to be out there but not clear on instructions or what was where. We were assigned to Tent site 1 but were unable to find it so set up camp in the nicest area possible. It felt like we were camping in someone’s back yard. It was really quiet and peaceful they have a deck we cooked on and a nice restroom with a shower.

Vintage Silver Streak Airstream Camper

Very nice, small campground. Well kept with beautiful surroundings. Right next to a 85 year old suspension bridge over the Colorado River. Very friendly owners as well!

Wonderful glamping experience

This place was truly wonderful! The SilverStreak was such a highlight of our trip, everything is vintage so it’s like a portal to another time. The trailer and the entire campground were spotless and well-maintained. Kegan and his family are delightful and so kind. I really enjoyed chatting with them and they took the time to get to know our family. When my kids couldn’t find good sticks for roasting marshmallows, one of them drove to his house and brought some for them! There’s a sweet little kids play area, and the views from the suspension bridge are stunning. Absolutely recommend, 10/10. If you’re thinking about booking here, just do it!

Deep quiet bright stars good people

Kegan, Byron and their extended family have poured their love into this beautiful spot and it shows. We arrived the afternoon before the eclipse to a very relaxed atmosphere, lots of folks hanging out in the big covered space in front of the kitchen. It reminded me of my days as a raft guide long ago. The site has 3 levels,. with RV spots on the top level closest to the driveway, car camping spots and extra parking on the middle level, and a few sweet spots on a natural bench just above the river for those willing to carry their gear down. There are lots of trees, and it having been a wet spring the grounds were lush with well-mowed grass and beds of flowers. Regency Bridge itself is right at the end of their driveway and affords a view over the treetops of the surrounding area. There was also a small play area for kids -sandbox and swings - where my daughter spent a lot of time. Staying here was a real treat. I'd say it's best suited for folks who don't need a lot of amenities (but have camped enough to appreciate the presence of a shower and a flush toilet). If you are drawn to peaceful evenings and nights of deep quiet and bright stars, check it out.

Five star review! We really loved the camp space on the river ! The property is gorgeous, lots of room, very peaceful. Keegan was an excellent host, quick with responses to our pre trip questions, and very personable and accommodating upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend!
