The perfect place to stay if you’re camping in Marfa! It was very hot when I was there and the old church was the perfect antidote providing a cool, sheltered breezy area to Escape the heat. The shower was also a nice plus. Robert was very helpful when I needed directions and information. An excellent day.

This property and the surrounding area was so peaceful and relaxing. I loved relaxing in the hammocks and that there were places to sit to eat in the old church. Bathroom/shower were clean and GREAT!
Tent campers just be prepared to set up on either gravel, concrete, or thorny burrs.

Cool spot. Unique. Really nice toilet and shower, only one of each in same location and that is a shared space. Cool spot/space on property to get together and eat or drink. The "car port" was offered to me since I have my tent on the roof of my truck, but I didn't fit clearance wise., and neither would a sprinter van. I was able to park outside the fence line and had access to the toilet and shower which I was pleased about. Apx 1 mi to the downtown area. The vintage trailers that other people live/stay in were cool looking. Overall I liked this place and the host was very responsive via text.

This camp ground was incredible. exactly as pictured and a really magical place. Unfortunately we weren’t there with anyone else which would have added atmosphere but we had an awesome time planet Marfa meeting locals and tipping musicians as suggested! Highly highly recommend!

Great spot for 2 nights in Marfa. Robert was quick to respond and generous- offering us a free night if we wanted to stay a third. Had the place to ourselves which was awesome too!

We stayed in our car during the stay but it was perfect for what we needed. Access to bathroom, the church is really cool for hanging out in. Close enough to walk into town.

This was the coolest camp spot in Marfa. The old church was renovated in such a way that preserved its original foundation and walls but was a safe and functional gathering space where you could have a fire and play games. Cornhole and horseshoes were provided. The area was quiet, accompanied by songs of coyotes at night and bleating goats in the morning. The restroom facilities were clean and functional, and the hammocks were perfect to relax in after a day of exploring Marfa. It's within biking distance of town, or a long walk. Host was friendly and extremely responsive- would respond to our questions and messages quickly. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a safe and quiet place to camp in our campervan in/near Marfa on the way home from Big Bend National Park - and this location fit the bill. We were able to park inside the gate on a level gravel drive. We appreciated being able to access the nice outdoor space for cooking and to use the very clean bathroom (tucked behind the outdoor bar). VERY quiet neighborhood once the local animals (goats) quieted at dusk and local car traffic died down for the night. Notably, this location only worked for us because we were passing through (on a week night) when no one else was there. Had there been guests in the onsite campers, there would not have been room to park our campervan in the gravel drive. Although there is street parking along the exterior fence, it would NOT have been worth the money to us to not have been able to access the gravel drive for our secured parking.
Seems like it would be a really fun place for a group wanting to rent all the campers and/or for tent campers with small tents who aren't looking for a wilderness experience - but are looking for easy access to all that Marfa has to offer.

This was such a great way to meet other people who were either explaining the towns or ready for Big Bend. We met a cyclist that was doing the 100 at Terlingua. It was quiet and nice to be able to have a fire. We stayed in the two open hammocks without a cover to see the stars. It was a nice way to feel the outdoors but still feel safe from any mountain lions.
