89 off-grid acres of wild Chihuahuan Desert on the back side of Big Bend National Park. Camp Sites are not assigned. You can camp anywhere on the property. Please do not camp Infront of the bathroom. No open fires & no charcoal at camp sites, camp stoves only! There is a below ground area where SMALL fires can be made on low wind days. Bring your own wood. Under Dark sky watch the sparkling stars of the Milky Way, dramatic moonrises and sunsets in a quiet, peaceful valley surrounded by mountains. Enjoy simply sitting still or hiking and into the wilder side of the national park. Explore the property — wander the washes or venture along the miles of nearby gravel roads on foot, by bike, or on ATV. We’re located 2.4 miles off the paved Terlingua Ranch Road. 3.6 Miles from the wild back entrance to the National Park where you can blaze your own trail or 38 miles from the west main entrance. Enjoy Wi-Fi, hot showers, restroom, and fresh coffee, lattes, chai, and breakfast burritos available on-site. The Bad Rabbit Café and laundry are only 7 miles away. Supplies and the Terlingua Ghost Town are about 38 miles from this remote, off-the-beaten-path location. Pets ok off leash. Tammy was an amazing hostess, exuberant & welcoming. We enjoyed a hot shower in the new bathhouse & a flush toilet is an unexpected luxury in such a primitive landscape. They have created & are continuing to develop an oasis in the desert.

Tammi provided clear directions well in advance and was such a sweetheart! We arrived a bit late and it was actually cold/windy the first night, but being able to take a hot shower was quite nice! Beautiful land and views!

Amazing Host and Property

Tammi was very communicative and friendly host who catered to our every need. She made sure we were safe in the desert elements. The views were incredible, as well as the amenities - potable water, wifi, showers, and more. I highly encourage anyone to come and stay here. Tammi was the best Hipcamp host I have had so far.

Tammi was a wonderful, very welcoming host. She made sure to cater to our every need. The property had incredible views of the desert. It was situated close to big bend but far from other people. Water and showers are hard to come by in the desert, but she had both! Tammi was very communicative and made sure we were safe in the desert elements. I highly recommend anyone to come and stay here.

Tammi's land was exactly what I was looking for... very secluded, surrounded by beautiful desert landscape, but still felt so safe. Tammi herself went above and beyond with her hospitality, I was able to try duck eggs, a delicious chicory drink, and when I got caught in a freeze she quickly put me up in one of her themed rooms!! Close proximity to Big Bend National Park, will definitely be coming back :)
