Paisano Azul Ranch is on 30 acres located by Terlingua Creek. The property is just minutes from the Terlingua Ghost Town and a short 3 mile drive to the Big Bend National park. Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you to toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails. There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta-Potties on-site, as well as showers for guests to use. These come in handy after a long day hiking. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do. We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe camp; kayak, off-road, swim, go horseback riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. DIRECTIONS: Once you are on Road Runner Circle, go past the house on the left with the Christmas lights on. Please continue down the road and follow the road around the curve to the left. The campsites will be on the left and side behind the rock walls. The campsite number that is booked is the campsite you will stay in. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! Covered with a shade sail the water stays nice and chilly. ($10 fee/person) - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available by the showers. Feel free to unplug during your stay though. - Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private. - Non potable water is provided on-site. The showers and non potable water is located approximately 1/4 mile from campsites 1-7. -We have friendly, quirky miniature goats named Clyde and Stella to visit while up at the showers. Always a pleasure staying here. 2nd year in a row staying at the El Groupo site for our moto trip. Has everything we need and nothing else. Wide open spaces, beautiful views, and showers. Great location to boot. Thanks again Jason.

Communication, we tried multiple times to get in touch with someone over the reservation confusion and no one has ever returned our calls, text or emails. The only other problem was the campsites were not level enough for a tent. Other than that it was nice, the showers had hot water you just have to wait a little while to warm up.

We had such a great stay at Paisano Azul Ranch! The property was beautiful and relaxing, with an awesome pool that made the trip extra fun. The outdoor showers were a highlight—super refreshing with nice warm water. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, and even gave us some excellent local recommendations that made our trip even better. Everything about the stay felt welcoming and easy. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our spot! Jason was very accommodating and responsive to anything we needed. I know phone service is a challenge out there so that may be the reason for negative reviews on returning messages. But we had a great time! The property was clean and the pool was an awesome addition. Our kids loved the goats too! I will be coming back for sure!

Pretty decent campsite in Terlingua. I had thought there was running water; however, the toilets are porta potties (clean FWIT). Showers are by the entrance and a drive away from most of the campsites. For the price I would look for something with better facilities.

Very nice site with clean, flushing porta-pots close by, a table,,and a canopy above the tent site with a wind break. The shower setup was outdoors but had hot water and soap dispensers mounted on the wall so very convenient. The property was clean and not far from stores, restaurants, and gas.

Site 2 - Tucked Away

Another party hijacked my site which put me next to a group of people that talked loudly until midnight. Also it was not clear to me that the showers and wifi were 1/4 mile away until after the booking and I was not allowed to cancel the 2nd night.

Amazing place to stay 3 mins away from the entrance to the national park, staff super friendly and knowledgeable. The restrooms were clean and the showers are amazing with a view of mountains. I don’t think i would stay anywhere else when i come to visit the park

I really enjoyed camping here. It is a great location and was very clean. I appreciated the shade structures. It was calm and quiet, especially at night. The only thing I hated was that there was an awful smell one of the nights we stayed here. Maybe it was the porta-potty? The wind blew it into my campsite, and it was really gross. Justin was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him when he stopped by our site to say hello. Would definitely stay here again!

The amenities and location were convenient, but the sites were really close together. They were also a bit too close for comfort to the porta-potties that smelled like they hadn’t been serviced in a while. We went on a windy week and the smell was so uncomfortable we had to leave; we reached out to the host to see if there was availability at a site further away from the porta-potties but didn’t get a response for over a day so we ended up having to book with another host to get away from the smell. Nice place but all in all the pictures were a bit misleading and it wasn’t a good fit for us.

The place is conveniently locate to the entrance of BBNP, grocery store, fuel, and restaurants. The sunset views were beautiful and the installations were accommodating.

Showers have ZERO privacy from the nipples up. Porta potties smelled like absolute death, and I could smell them from my picnic table and tent area. I booked three nights and did not come back after the first night. Also there are dogs in the area that bark like crazy every 20 minutes all night.

We had a great time camping at Paisano Azul. The welcome committee animals, the pool after long hot hikes, the showers all very nice. Highly recommend, especially for families that like camping. Just have a propane stove in case of burn ban. Easy to get to Big Bend and Terlingua.

The campsite had everything we needed: picnic table, flat area for our tent, potable water, showers, and clean porta potties. Easy to find the campsite and only a 5 minute drive to the nearby grocery store. The site does have two neighboring campsites, but there is about 100 feet between campsites. We had friendly neighbors.

Site 8- Off by it self

My son and I had a great time at #8. It was perfect for what we needed. A simple shade and a picnic table; a grill and a fire pit. Also the wall was an excellent windbreaker as the site is exposed to the elements otherwise. If your looking for amenities or glamping, Site 8 is not for you, but if you are self-sufficient and like to rough it, this is your spot. Very quiet at night.

RV Site A Go-Go

I was in an EV, tent camping on an RV site, so my situation was unique. That said, the arrival and orientation process was non-existent. I ended up sleeping in my car one night because the owner told me I might have to move to accommodate someone else, but then never came back to let me know.
