true definition of unplug & reboot
Mallard Haven is a pristine and secluded getaway located on the outskirts of Davy Crockett National forest. It is absolutely perfect for groups looking to find a connection with nature. That being said, prepare for about a 30-40 minute beautiful "off road" driving through natural forest landscapes to get to the location. I drove my Kia Soul and made it just fine, although in inclement weather perhaps not.
My arrival was breathtaking, and only made better by a greeting from the cows. As I arrived to the rustic cabin, I just felt everything melt away. It's EXTREMELY well stocked & has 8 beds, plus cots and plenty of room to spread out. It has the "going to grandmas" kind of charm. There's an adjacent pond for fishing, large deck equipped for summer cookouts, a "backyard" with fire pit, swings, and "forest trails". The hosts were very accomodating, even with a packed schedule.
