Land was purchased in July 2017, and it was in need of major cleanup and debris piles to be cleared. We cleared the property and had four cabins delivered to the property. We finished the cabins out ourselves, and had so much fun furnishing and decorating them for our future guests. As time permitted, we continued to work on the Primitive camping area (acre two) for the nature lovers. We continue to build out a facade turning an old building into an old time primitive saloon (non working), just a great place to hang out and watch sunrises/sunsets or play cards, poker or just read. Blue Eagle Retreat has been open since Easter Weekend, 2019 with cabin rentals. We have recently added primitive camping with 20' Tipi, 1953 Field and Stream Camper/Glamper, primitive camping spaces (with tents available). We offer a small country ranchette for your peace, and get-a-way from the hustle and bustle. Bring your camera for some amazing pictures of the exotic wildlife across the street at my neighbor's high fenced ranch. Be prepared to hear wildlife howl at night as you enjoy the sounds of a crackling bon fire.

Star Gazing Peaceful Cabin

Great family getaway

We loved seeing all the stars on this lovely ranch! The cabin was a great place for our family to stay, with positive messages and thoughtful touches. Though we didn’t get to make s’mores or grill due to the burn ban, we did enjoy exploring and seeing the saloon, teepee, and taking walks on the grounds. Hope to be back again! Thank you!

Back to Nature

Beautiful night sky

Perfect “primitive “ site. Was able to pull my truck up to the spot and pitch my tent in the truck bed. Site was clean. Loved the outdoor shower (up near the cabins). Beautiful night sky and no light pollution. Would definitely come back!

Spirit of Tejas Saloon

Donkeys!

Had a nice little weekend stay on Kelli's property, she's clearly making this pretty plot of land feel homey. We stayed at the cool little saloon with nearby bnb tiny houses and community spaces. Would recommend for gatherings. Kelli was an excellent and thoughtful host.
