Perfectly located between both the Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Do you like stargazing? We are very pleased to announce that we are Dark Sky's supported and certified, so stargazing is ideal. If you are wanting to slow down and relax or get out on one of the many trails the parks offer this is the place! We are a smaller family oriented and pet friendly park we offer dry Rv spaces with power and septic hook-ups, as well as rustic desert camping.

There are 4 back-in Rv spots with power hookups on my property. Jomommas Rv Park is recognized as a Dark sky's friendly location by McDonald's observatory, as well as being an ideal star viewing location in 2021 receiving recommendations from Earthsky Organization and the International Darksky Association. We are popular with star gazers and photographers alike. ("Camping Under The Stars" is also in this location with 6 cleared tent spots. *Please book separately) Rv spaces have 30 amp electric, septic and wifi available on property. Water must be hauled for drinking and utilities. This is due to limited resources and high demand on an already in short supply. Its also good to remember that there are cactus and wildlife every where in the Big Bend Area's and the nearest hospital is about 100miles away in Alpine that is also the nearest real grocery store to buy food. The temperatures can get as high as 125 in July and has been known to snow as early as the end of October. We are considered a high desert climate. With that said please research and prepare for your visit! My family has been here in the Terlingua Ghost Town and surrounding areas for 3 generations so Im very familiar with both the Big Bend National Park and The Big Bend Ranch State Park, both of which are less then a 20 min drive from our location here in the heart of the Terlingua Ghost Town. Plus were within walking distance 5 restaurants 3 of which are Bar's that serve food and often have live music plus a lot of historical sites. I live close and am on location many times a day so if you have questions just ask. I have one of the best views the sunsets are great and star watching doesn't get any better, it can get a little chilly at night. I do have neighbors so no parting, things get quiet around here between 10&11pm. Also keep in mind that you wont have running water on my property so bring plenty of drinking water. cell service doesn't always work in most placesplus there's limited wifi around the Big Bend area! Note that we currently only have 4 total 30amp hookups. Limited dry camping and and all trash has to be hauled 90 miles away to Alpine

The water pipe being broken and the no shower was a bummer. I was able to drive over to BJs campground and pay $5 to shower and that was great. The proximity of Jomommas to Starlight Theater Restaurant and Saloon (1 mile away) is why I chose this place. I almost booked an AirBnB once I got there and accessed the water situation. If I were to visit again, I think I'd splurge and pay a little extra for an AirBnB, didn't really feel like there was to much value in the rooftop tent camp for $60+. I did use the electricity to charge my cordless power tool battery.

I called the number upon arrival. No answer. Left message. No response. Could night find electric hook up. We had to go somewhere else. I heard back that night and was told it was my fault and I would be charged in full. Avoid this place

Very peaceful spot. Super sweet neighbor dog name,Maggie! She was so loving! Has electricity. No water hookup next to rv spot but they do have a water hose to bring to your RV. We had no issues. Right nextdoor is a great cafe with wifi and wonderful food. Texting for my android worked here but couldn't text iPhones. We would stay again! Host was super good at communicating and nice!

Jo Mommas is a must stay if you are visiting Terlingua ! Elena was so welcoming and cute as a button. She made us feel right at home . The site is manicured , almost walking distance to the Starlight which is yummy by the way and every evening the stars were in arms reach., Elena’s mom is a trip! Funny , warm-hearted and told us the history and places to go . we even sat out one night and sang some songs. They both made our experience memorable! Thanks y’all we will be back ♥️

What a great stay at Jomomma’s ! Elena was a wonderful host ! She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed . The campground was quiet and mysterious ! Vickie was an added bonus …we enjoyed our time with her ! Right next to the ghost town . Had a great dinner at the Starlight Theatre. When we wander through this area again … this will be our home away from home !

Perfect spot to camp near both Terlingua (5 min walk to the ghost town) and several restaurants virtually next door. Facilities included electricity and water. Elena was responsive to our texts and her mom who was onsite was very pleasant and helpful! Big Bend National Park is a short drive away as well! Highly recommend!!

Elena went above and beyond to make sure my family could enjoy the Big Bend area!! So grateful for such a wonderful host. Great, central location in Terlingua's old ghost town and close to the national park. Don't miss Espresso Y Poco Mas - our favorite morning spot for coffee and breakfast!

Great location, close to town. Just 20 min from the entrance of Big Bend and Lajitas. It was a quiet little spot, with only 5 or 6 rv sites. Spots are narrow which can make it difficult for larger trailers getting in sites. Sites are set up for 30 amp and sewer. Overall good spot and we would stay there again.

A little rough around the edges but has personality, liked it more than the other RV parks we drove by at this big bend Elec. . and sewer hookups but no water or bath / shower. Walking distance to the “ghost town” and restaurant and convenient to park entrance.

Small dry sites. Perfect spot to stay a night or two if you have a smaller RV. We have a 27ft travel trailer and just fit. Very quiet location. Walking distance to High Serra for food and drinks. Easy walk to goast town. Elena was very nice and great communication.

Parked our RV for three nights. Great location for taking in Terlingua sites. Elena was very accessible and helpful when needed. Site was everything as described. Only issue: A very friendly white "desert dog" who visits from a neighbor's property walked off with a hiking boot. Elena warned us! We left it outside the rig for moments, and gone! Beware of the sweet pup...she's a thief (it was our fault!).
