Lots of space, workers always friendly RV sites Have water and electricity and it’s perfect! We moved from the front area site 11 to back area site 15 for more privacy away from traffic and site 15 is next to shade area/ picnic table that we were able to enjoy. They did have traffic from workers going to the stalls behind us but less than store customers traffic which was better. Highly recommend this area. No cell service here but they do have wifi access for guests if needed. We use our Starlink so can’t rate reception of the WiFi.

Cute little store on the way to Big Bend! They have RV hookups right next door! Ashley was very sweet and helpful! But I'd have to say our favorite part was the camp host, Maru! She is the sweetest orange and white cat! She checked on us every morning and night and made sure we were nice and comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Burro again. The sites are clean and well kept and the views were fantastic as usual. We also got to meet a new addition to the resident burro herd. Baby, Dusty is adorable. If you are looking for a great spot to camp, I highly recommend Little Burro.

Jackass flats was a great spot for our overnight stay. The donkeys and cat are adorable. Electrical hookup worked great. Only downsides were a little too close to the road (mild road noise) and the porta potty wasn’t the most pleasant, but then again what porta potties are. Perfect stopping point on the way north to Alpine or south to Big Bend. Definitely would stay again!

I loved everything about Jackass Flats campground/RV park. The sites are clean, well-cared for, and well-marked with the site number. The campground is easy to find, right off HWY 118 next to the Little Burro Country Store. The views are incredible, the park is quiet, and the people are amazing. Loved gazing at the night sky after sun-down. This was the perfect spot for a quiet weekend.

My friends and I loved Jackass Flats. Pam was very friendly and responsive, and Little Burro Country Store is the perfect base camp between Lajitas/BBRSP, BBNP, and Marfa/DMSP. We had a great time exploring, but an even better time sitting around the campfire at Jackass Flats. Views are awesome during the day and the night. On our first night there was a slight water pressure issue, Pam had it fixed within an hour and swung by our campsite to ensure everything was working right. Highly recommend Jackass Flats. Thank you Pam!

Good little area to lay your head. You have views of the mountains and the Little Burro shop was very handy. We needed a spot to put our trailer and sleep for the night, we had power/water and everything was as advertised. The RV spots are very close to each other, luckily we had some nice neighbors on both sides. We were able to see the stars (wow) and get a good night sleep. I would recommend.

Overall, we were unhappy with the lack of space. The property was big but they only had four elec/water poles to accommodate two rental slots per pole with about two to three feet of space between slots. No showers for people in tents and only two port a potties. The only thing that made it worthwhile was the view of the night sky.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Site was clean and easy to navigate. It was a little closer to the road than I anticipated but road noise wasn’t a huge issue. The store was convenient and had everything you may need. Our favorite part were the friendly furry friends, Rue, Ouggie and the three burros.

Great spot to visit Big Bend, Marfa and the McDonald observatory. Easy drive through, 30amp and 50 amp hook ups are convenient with a 120 outlet for a Bluetooth speaker. The water is beside the power so everything is tight where you need it. Easy to find and drive through at night. Super friendly host with an awesome little country store for basic items like ice cream and beer! I highly recommend this spot.

Great experience if visiting the area. Not only was Pam helpful and great talking to, but customers that came in the store while we were there were super nice and pleasant. WiFi, electric, and water worked great. Lastly, enjoyed seeing and hearing the donkeys. We intend on visiting again!

I had a great time staying at this RV/Tent site! I was looking for a place nearby Big Bend National & Big Bend Ranch SP and found this spot on HipCamp which did not disappoint! Communication was great, since I had lots of questions before my trip. Once I got there I was met with friendly greeting with some of the nicest people! The site was pretty spacious too and I was testing out Tesla camping with the necessary NEMA 14-50 outlet. I watched some of most beautiful sunsets & sunrises during my stay there and also my pup made friends with the local horses & donkey's which were pretty social and friendly. Also if you need any supplies the local general store has a great variety of necessities. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

Loved camping at Jackass Flats! Had a question before we drove down and Pam answered and was very nice. The site itself is very cool, there are some donkeys in the arena that you can go up and pet. The Little Burro store was nice, we picked up some cold drinks and got a recommendation for a place to grab lunch down in Study Butte (Chili Pepper Cafe). There is also a cool little art gallery out front near the store. Great spot near Big Bend and Alpine/Marfa!
