This was my first time staying in Texas' Pineywoods, and I'm glad I found this cozy campsite! It was a bit chilly during my stay, but I was able to enjoy my evenings at the campfire pit beside the pool (which looked like fun for the warmer months). I would definitely recommend this location to folks looking for a little glamping vacation that isn't too far from Houston :)

Con mucha naturaleza.

. Nothing was as it said online. Owner had great communication and was quick responding but place was not marked from road. grass overgrown (was a last minute booking) glamping tent sparse and a blow up mattress and no a/c as shown in the picture . The pool water was clear but needed cleaning and amenities were not as expected and couldn’t find in the dark. Unfortunately not worth the price

Very nice spot to camp in a different way and to have a good time at the pool. The communication with the hip camper host was very good and the surrounding area is very good for food and entertaining at the lake

We had a great time at Vance’s place! Cute get away from the city and not being too far away from anything! Will for sure stay again soon. My 3 year old son loved it!

Overall, the place is a pleasant stay. I enjoyed the peaceful backyard and trees towering. The pool was cloudy but looked to be in the process of being cleaned. I love the fireplace feature and host spaces. The tent has some weathering but Vance let us know he was currently caring for it.

This was a really cool place with really cool people. Our little family (us and our 2yr old son) needed a staycation. I was worried about getting this place for the night because it's HOTTER THAN A HOOCHIE COOCHIE OUTSIDE!! Well don't worry about that here! Vance has a AC rigged up in the Yurt for you! It gets comfortably, if not too cold at night! The pool was fantastic and everyone respected our privacy. At night the vibe was relaxing and addicting. I'd stay here again for sure.
Oh, and yes there's a porta potty but I must also say this one didn't stink AT ALL. Hands down the cleanest one I've ever been in.
Vance, you are doing a good job.

We HIGHLY recommend Vance’s place, he has all you need and then some. Very accommodating felt like we had known them forever as if our own FAMILY. This being our first glamping experience, could not of asked for better. He had the ac turned on early nice and comfortable by time we got there, beautiful pool, view of stars at night and so peaceful, great communication and recommendations. If you get the time sit and visit with Vance himself, what a story, what a testimony, what an experience. WE WILL BE BACK, can’t thank you enough !!!!

I stayed 1 night with my partner and doggos. We absolutely enjoyed the stay here. I love the woods, pond and pool. The host, Vance was very friendly, accommodating and chill. I would like to go back sometime!

The camp was amazingly setup, as shown in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable and close to anything you'd want to do in the city. Most of all, the host - Vance was a very thoughtful host, full of knowledge and had a pleasant demeanor. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a really great time at Vance's place. We were treated like family everyone was so kind, yet they respected our privacy. It was wonderful to be able to be somewhere with our dog and be respected for her. The accommodations for spacious and very clean. It was a nice easy trip to the bathroom which was extremely clean. My son really like the fire pit. We look forward to spending more time here in the future. I highly recommend it to everyone.

You can really tell how much pride and heart is put into this camp. I came with some friends here and we all agreed we can't wait to come back! It's the perfect blend of being isolated and away from the city while being literally 5 minutes away from it. It's especially nice when you don't know much of where you're at anyway lol the property is very accommodating, with a beautiful in ground pool, smoker/grill, and a clean, roomy walk in Port o potty.
There's even some woods to explore. The property owner is just as cool! We could have kept talking for another hour. This is a Gem, and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for it!
