Haven is a beautiful, heavily wooded 72 acres surrounding a gorgeous 5 acre lake out in central Texas. Tent camp by our lake, hang up a hammock, or park your camper/RV. Watch the sunrise across the water behind the retreat center. Check out our fire wood bundles to keep warm around one of the many fire pits in the evening. Swim, paddle, or fish from our communal dock or go on a hike around the land. We offer various experiences such as tours of the property including our agroforest and permaculture gardens. We also offer morning movement, meditation, and breath sessions led by our wonderful land and HipCamp manager. There is a wildlife reserve right next to our property with the opportunity to see many different creatures, plus the wildlife at Haven including deer, beavers, ducks, cranes, cardinals, blue jays, and so much more! This is a beautifully wild place offering sanctuary for animals and people alike. If you’re seeking peace and serenity, you’ll find it at Haven.

Lakeside Campsite is a flat open grassy space located next to the lake with a communal fire pit. Pitch your tent and enjoy views of the lake or go on a hike through the wildlands that surround you. Feel free to swim, fish, or just relax to enjoy the views and wildlife. Firewood bundles and starters are available to purchase at checkout. There is a communal outhouse on site or you can use the woods (Bury it!). This is an open camping area with other sites so you may have other guests within view. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.

Set up a tent or a hammock and enjoy the quiet tree filled area! This site includes a communal fire pit, trees to hang a your hammock, and plenty of area to play and explore. A short walk away is our 5 acre lake, dock, and hang out area for campers and guests. There are no bathroom amenities here (Plenty of woods to go in. Bury it!), Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace, and there is no water spigots. (Lake water if you bring filter) This is a dispersed camping site with multiple areas to set up camp. You will see areas that are mowed and open up into the woods like little coves along the road. First come, first serve for these sites. Plenty of shade for summer time camping. Firewood, starters, and experiences available for purchase at check out.

Back in your RV/camper on our gravel pad and enjoy the quiet tree filled area! This site includes a fire pit, picnic table, and trees to hang a your hammock. A short walk away is our 5 acre lake, dock, and hang out area for campers and guests. There are no bathroom amenities here, Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace, and there are no water, electrical, or sewage hook ups. There are other Camper sites within view of this site. Firewood, starters, and experiences available for purchase at check out.

Great place for a weekend gate away. Place is beautiful and lake is gorgeous. My wife did yoga in the deck and I went fishing all around. We found a hidden gem.

Loved or overnight camp trip.. what a beautiful place. All the nature sounds were amazing, so many cool frogs and birds making music. Caught a few fish too. Would definitely come back, thank you so much.

I had such a great experience at this campsite! Wonderful secluded spot where you really feel connected with nature. Lots of land you can explore and my dog was able to roam around freely. Host was very nice and responsive and even helped fill up our air mattress when our air pump wasn’t working. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice camping spot near the water!

This was such a neat spot. On a beautiful property with a great lake for fishing and playing in the water. The land steward Brandon was a pretty neat guy who took care of the property and us the guest wonderfully !

Wooded Lakeview Tent/Hammock Site

We had a great time here. This was the kiddos first time camping. We went for nature walks, found some interesting mushrooms, animal skulls and flowers. The kiddos went swimming and we ate campfire pizza and ended the night with roasted marshmallows and stargazing. We also saw some bison and gazelle next door which was definitely cool. Although we had a good time it wasnt without some hiccups. We paid extra for early check-in at 11am but couldnt arrive till 12pm. When we arrived we had a hard time distinguishing campsites, the greass was a bit overgrown and it honestly didnt look like the pictures in hipcamp. I can tell were were at the right place due to the carport but even the carport area had knee-high overgown grass. We didnt have a fire pit until the land steward (very nice gentleman) came and told us he would make us one because we paid for extra for firewood too. He basically showed us where we could put up our tent. Overall we had a great time. Im just not sure if we weren't expected in enough time to cut the greass.
