Welcome to our diverse camping haven! Spanning 100 acres, our camp boasts a variety of terrains and water features. Explore forested areas teeming with wildlife, including a mile of winding creek and over 250 yards of San Antonio Riverfront. Fishing, kayaking, and swimming opportunities abound, offering top-notch outdoor adventures. While our sites are currently extremely primitive, we provide drinking water at the entrance and a convenient port-o-potty near the camping sites. Each campsite is equipped with log benches and a sandstone fire-ring, ensuring a comfortable and cozy experience amidst nature's beauty. This site is within a forest of tall Hackberry and Elm trees. Tenting and hammock areas are numerous. A rock fire ring with cowboy cooking stand for cooking along with log benches make this campsite idyllic. This camping area is the absolute favorite for the property, with the most shade, least amount of thorns/brush and is less than 100 yards from the banks of the San Antonio River. The site can accommodate large groups comfortably as survival and foraging classes of over 40 camp and train here on occasion. (Heavy rains can affect availability as the clay in this area can keep vehicles from easy access). This is a good site for large groups that like to spread out within the trees without becoming lost in them. This is the perfect hammock site though we would ask that they not be attached to Anaqua or Perssimon trees. Again, this is the premiere site on the property. I’m sure that your group will enjoy it as countless others have found it to be wonderful.

This site has an open central cooking / recreation area while offering tenting sites radiating in multiple directions allowing for privacy between camp-mates. Located equidistant from creek or river at less than 250 yards. Beautiful fields, woodland paths, river front and a mile of winding creek are virtually within throwing distance. This is a good site for groups that like to tent apart. It feels extremely comfortable and welcoming. It’s less than ideal for hammockong unfortunately, check the river campsite for group hammocking. Whether new to the outdoors or an experienced outdoorsman, this site will be a good fit.

This site is nestled back under woodland trees that provide good shade and a peaceful privacy. Located within a woodlot it offers protection and privacy while meadows and park-like views frame this spot. There’s a rock fire-ring along with log benches for cooking / relaxing. Tents can easily be set up under the trees for shade or out open to the sky. Beautiful fields, woodland paths, river front and a mile of winding creek are within walking distance. The creek is less than 150 yards away, the river is under 400 yards away.. This is a good site with lots of room for groups of tent campers. It feels extremely comfortable and welcoming. It’s less than ideal for hammockong unfortunately,, though there are a few places that would work. Check the river campsite for group hammocking. Whether new to the outdoors or an experienced outdoorsman, this site will be a good fit.

Bob Hansler is a great host. His ranch and the camp sites are awesome. Very private and well maintained. I have been a subscriber to his YT channel for years and was very excited to finally meet him. He is the ultimate outdoor survivor and woodsman. He also hosts survival courses, and I will be going back for more tent and hammock camping. Also, for those that know Bob through YT, Huck his loyal pup is doing well and always appreciates a good snack. Thanks Bob. 10 out of 5 Stars!!

We had a fantastic time at Bob's ranch. The campsites are secluded and big. Bob is a great host as well. I would highly recommend it!

Took my 3 boys and little brother primitive camping for the first time and bobs property was perfect place. We enjoyed the trails and tried our hand at fishing. And bob will sell you a good pile of firewood for 5 dollars which is totally worth it. 10 out of 10 recommend, bob was a great host. We will definitely be making our way back!!

Amazingly nice host. Beautiful area with river access, lots of animals and all the nature you could hope for. Best place I've stayed at since I found the website. Definitely coming back next spring!

Amazing spot , amazing people running it. Best primitive spot we've been to. We will definitely be coming back . The river feels great the ,the fish are definitely biting . Highly recommend giving this spot a try. And their dog Huck is awesome.

I cannot recommend this site enough! The land is beautiful, the river fun, and the people even better. They were so accommodating and kind. I am avid hipcamp user and this is by far the best place I’ve stayed. Bob and his wife were amazing hosts. Our car did get stuck after a crazy rain but Bob sent a friend to our rescue, he was just as fantastic. We’ll absolutely be back!

Beautiful spot, everything was set up for our arrival, gracious host, Creek was so close, but you can forget it's there because of the surrounding nature, super friendly horse, just amazing spot.

Here's the corrected version: Had a great time staying at Bob’s land. The campsite was set up wonderfully. Enjoyed hiking on and off mowed trails, along riverbanks, and canoeing in the San Antonio River. Bob was super knowledgeable about the area annd its wildlife/vegetation and even had some kayaking/fishing equipment for rent.

10 outta 5 stars! This was everything I was looking for when trying to find the right campsite. If you’re into the more wild side of camping and nature, this is the place to be. Plenty of fish to be caught, white tail deers along the land, coyotes, and even ran into a Javelina ( type of wild pig) while heading up to the river bank. With many hidden gems like a beautiful stream, amazing ridge lines and even better people who were here to guide us on or endeavors this is one for the books! Bob and his Ranch hand are great amazing people who don’t mind showing you what they’ve got as well as making it as comfortable as you would like. I will surely be out here again soon to resume my fishing and camping out here. Thank you guys for the experience!!
