Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

Worth it

Amy the host was very friendly, when we got there she lets you choose the spot you where you would want stay at ,so it is first come first serve. The place is very beautiful and well kept which includes a store and showers which are just perfect after a swim in the lake. The lake is not deep at all so it’s perfect for small kids because the deepest it gets is probably about three feet. But you can rent a canoe or kayak for $20 dollars a day and go down the lake about a mile in to fish.She has goats that you can pet and lots of chickens and ducks everywhere which is awesome.She even sells duck and chicken eggs which are good for a breakfast when you’re there. Honestly a 10/10 experience especially because of the positive energy give back :)

This place is so magical we decided to extend our stay! Amy is such a sweetheart and has so much love to give. We really enjoyed being apart of her community and living alongside all of her animals. We’re already looking forward to our next visit ❤️

Site 2 - Gypsy Moon RV Park

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about our camping trip this past weekend! We originally planned to stay only one night until we saw the view! Our dogs had a blast and the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing. If you love all types of animals you will love this place. We made friends with geese and chickens, and there are deer everywhere. We have now found our home away from home. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you Amy for your hospitality as well as sharing your animals with us. GYPSY MOON HIDEAWAY GETS A 5 STAR RATING FROM THE JUSTUS CREW!

This place is absolutely amazing for a weekend getaway with your family! Amy was the absolute best and made us feel very welcomed! My kids got to enjoy and venture without fear! Very clean and very open, and cation signs everywhere for children and pets! Can’t wait to stay again!!

The Dollhouse

Amy was a fabulous host! The dollhouse was perfect for our little girls weekend…very comfortable, clean and the AC was kickin’! We thoroughly enjoyed the company of the folks who live at the on-premise communities, especially Fred and Ethel! We will certainly be back, thank you so much for the stellar hospitality!
