Glamm Camping

We had a really good time. The directions are very clear and it was easy to find the place. Melanie greeted us upon arrival and checked on us quite regularly along with her husband. She brought us fresh eggs, honey, rosemary and onions that we cooked with during pur stay. The kids enjoyed the goats and dogs and all the other animals there. We tent camped alongside my parents RV and had plenty of space. The tank had fish too that was fun as well. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

Had a little mix up when we first arrived but Melanie and her husband were quick to resolve it! They are amazing and even brought us fresh eggs and Honey. We absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back

Melanie was an amazing host from the jump. She met with us as soon as we pulled in and told us about all the amenities the campgrounds had. It was a beautiful land with a nice pond in the middle. We fished, star gazed, went on a nice walk, and made a nice fire. It was the perfect getaway for my wife and 2 children. Ages 8 & 3.

Absolutely perfect! We lived it, my 2 year old nephew got to pick fresh eggs. And couldn't stop talking about the foats and pigs, and had his first ride on a pattle boat. So relaxing! Melanie is an amazing host, they really took care of us. We will defetely go back to enjoy this place again. Love it! ❤️

We loved our stay! The hosts were so kind and we got some sweet gifts at check in. My partner caught two fish at their fishing hole. It was so peaceful and quiet and the stars were so beautiful at night. I also loved hearing about the sustainability of the property, we will be back 😊

Melanie and her husband are some of the most down to earth people we’ve ever met. They welcomed us onto their property and made sure we had everything we needed. Very hospitable. We even got to meet their goats! We can’t wait to go back.

We had a great stay at this beautiful campsite it was relaxing and a great way to escape the city life. The host were very attentive, polite, and cool people supplying us with campfire wood and fresh eggs. The great pyrenees were just adorable and friendly towards us and our pets, they definitely made us feel safe at night and throughout our stay always watching over us and coming up to us for the occasional pets and treats. 10/10 would recommend and come back in the future.

Stayed during Easter weekend and had a wonderful time! First time here and Melanie and Jerry were very accommodating and friendly. They gave us fresh eggs and showed us around their land. Easter morning they delivered warm homemade delicious cinnamon rolls. Our girls age 7 and 9 adored all of their farm animals, fishing, and hanging around the clubhouse! Great place to tent camp but they have RV’s too. It was peaceful, serene, and just overall a beautiful property. Thank you again for letting us stay and explore your land. We will definitely be back!

Site 2 - Glamm Camping

I loved camping on Melanie’s land! Absolutely beautiful spot. Melanie and her husband were so accommodating, they offered and provided anything we needed. The recenter and bathrooms were super clean and kept up with. We got fresh eggs, got to hangout with the goats, and saw some pigs. Definitely a great spot to taking your family camping whether it’s in an RV or tent.

We stayed near an A frame cabin, which was perfect because it rained the 1st night. The host was very hospitable in providing eggs and fire wood. The view was spectacular and the site overall was quite. There are warm showers and clean restrooms. This is a 2 hour drive just north of Houston and very easy to find. This is also a dog friendly camp. I will for sure be making a return trip!!

Getaway with the older kids & dogs!

The hosts are so accommodating! We brought our teenagers here for the weekend and stayed in an A-frame in a private spot overlooking the pond. We love cooking outdoors so the eggs in the morning were the perfect addition. It was nice knowing that their dogs watch the property. It seemed to put our dogs at ease. Our older daughters did some paddle-boarding and also took the Johnboat out. It was a blessing to see them unplug and truly enjoy the scenery. We appreciated our conversations with the hosts and their hospitality and would most definitely return!

Our first HipCamp stay, and the following will have huge expectations after these amazing hosts. My girlfriend & I decided to make a last-minute trip from Houston for Labor Day weekend. Melanie and Jimmy went above & beyond for us; Fresh farm eggs, a quiet rv site, and they even delivered us a fire pit on a tractor. Our dogs loved running around the big fields on the property, and listening to the storms that rolled through. We’ll definitely be coming back when we need a quick getaway from the city.

Outstanding Hospitality

This camping space was perfect for my family. We had an excellent time. The kids and myself used the small boat and I enjoyed taking a swim in the pond. They had a kids paddle boat where they peddle with their feet. We didn’t catch any fish but loved getting up early to fish and enjoy the nature. Fun frog catching in the evenings. The bathrooms / showers on the property were clean and well maintained. They had an above ground pool! We even bought some of Melanie’s firewood for our stay and it was worth it. We would have bought some eggs too but already came with some. She told the kids they could grab one for the fun of the experience and they were to scared. It was pretty cool to see the chicken coop, it was nice senery as we strolled past their home. I liked the farm feel. I forgot an extension cord and they were so kind to provide one for our stay. Melanie and her husband went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you both for your outstanding hospitality. We were some happy campers! Hostess with the mostess!

This place is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay! Melanie and her husband were the best host we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. From a great shaded spot right on the pond for fishing and kayaking, the pool (which the pump had just went out and they went above and beyond hurrying to have it ready and perfect for swimming when it got warm), the laundry room because my kids had too much fun sometimes, fresh eggs from her chickens, and the warm delicious cookies she baked one night, and even borrowing her defuser when one of the kiddos got sick, and the unforgettable conversations getting to know them over the weekend. We would highly recommend staying here and experience their beautiful place abs their wonderful hospitality!

The perfect getaway!

Well I must say! The best place ever! They always check on ya to make sure your ok. The breakfast was good . The pond was full so we went on the boat. The pool was cool! The deers was awesome!!!’ Thanks again can’t wait to go again! Very down to earth ppl . Truly.

Pleasant and Quiet - Will go again

My husband and I tent camped April 9-11. It was really nice and peaceful here. Melanie and her husband were super nice and helpful. She gave us ideas on what to do in the area, though we ended up doing our own thing. Zoe is the sweetest dog and loved any attention we could give her! Our site was a decent distance away from the RV park area, which was definitely appreciated. We had a short walk to the pond and the bathrooms. It was lovely to have access to showers with hot water! If you're debating on buying firewood, do it! It was a TON of wood and we didn't even get thru it all. Just as a heads-up, there is not a lot to do on site. We did walk around the property on Friday and fished in the pond. Then, we did a day trip to Fairfield Lake State Park on Saturday and did Fort Parker State Park on our way home Sunday. There are also other places in the area to explore and another State Park to the east. We will definitely be back!

100% would recommend to a friend. Melanie and her husband (I assume) were so kind and helpful! Our car battery unfortunately died and they were so kind to give us a hand and help us out. Beautiful area!!
