We happened upon this site on a recent trip to Austin. Marnie’s F1 Austin Campsite is located about 20 minutes from downtown Austin, Texas. We pulled up on a day when it had been drizzling off and on and the skies were gray. Even so, we felt like there is a lot of potential here.
Marnie has numerous RV sites with electric and water available at all of them. There is no dump site, however, for black water tanks, but there is a large dumpster for trash. Also on the property are several tiny home units that are clustered together. Just behind those tiny home units are the RV and camping site.
For those of you who are more self-contained or tent-camping the sites are level and easy to drive up to. We could see it being enjoyed by several friends who are caravan-ing for car camping for the weekend and want lots of wide open space to hang out and enjoy each other’s company.

First off, the location was great. Close enough to Austin but we didn’t have to worry about noise or traffic. The driveway was very hard to see and I ended up having to call to find it. I can see that they are working on building a real driveway into the space, but when we were there we had to drive up on boards to get over the curb. It was a terribly muddy pit in the makeshift driveway because it had been raining. It probably would have been fine if it wasn’t raining. Then it snowed and the melt off made it nearly impossible to get out. We were a muddy mess by the time we got our travel trailer back onto the road. The guy who met us and showed as around was friendly. There were a couple other tiny houses there. Good cell service, access to water and electricity. Once the driveway is fixed I think it will be a great place to spend a few nights.
