Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose. Please no loud noises after 9:00 pm as this is quiet time, out of respect for other campers.

Brookside Camp
This site was so relaxing and serene, not to mention very private as well. There is plenty of space with multiple tress between camp sites which definitely helps with the privacy. Star gazing with the roof off of my tent was phenomenal. The creek was perfect for floating and the water was beautifully clear and so refreshingly cool. Emory is a great host and communicated very well. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back!

Ancient Oaks
Weekend getaway from the DFW area
I absolutely loved my stay at EcoRich Ranch. I was in the Ancient Oaks campsite and would definitely stay again. The campsite itself is pretty clear and open but, if you plan to venture out in any direction at night, make sure to carry a stick to clear the paths of spider webs. My pups and I found our way down to the creek and walked around the pond. The picnic table was clean and in relatively good condition. It probably seats 4 so if you have a large party you may want to bring a folding table along. I didn’t have a fire but the firepit looked nice with a few stumps around it and a pile of scrap wood nearby that would’ve burned well. I’m not the best at planning and booked last minute. I messaged Emory to let him know I would be arriving late and to confirm that would be ok. He responded promptly and even in the dark I found the directions provided through hipcamp to be accurate and easy to follow. I have AT&T and didn’t have much signal but a solid bar was enough to make calls and text messages. Obviously away from the canopy of the campsite was better. I never used the outhouse but it’s there should you need it. It’s a bucket but it’s got privacy walls and it’s close to camp which is more than enough if ya gotta go. Remember to bring your own toilet paper or 3 seashells, whatever you want to wipe with.

Richardson Creek
The two creek-front spots are perfect for edgedwellers who like to have one foot in beautiful open land, and another in the forested creek. Underbrush is cleared away at sites and there’s plenty of wild area to explore.
