First camping trip with baby
Though we have been Hipcamp hosts for nearly five years, this was our first time use Hipcamp as campers! And I believe we were also some of Shelby's first guests, what a coincidence! There are plenty of little spots for dispersed, primitive camping, thus lots of space to not have to be near other campers. There is a large, flat open space after you come in the gate around the old mobile home and cabin which is where we camped. But if you keep going along the road, you go up a hill to areas that would feel more remote and have a better view. For us, we needed an easy spot to set up and camp for the first time with our seven month old baby and it served that purpose well! We were pretty near to the restroom and water tap, which was handy. A warning for tent campers that the ground was pretty hard and putting in tent stakes was fairly difficult. Have a mallet or hammer with if you're pitching a tent. All in all, a very positive camping experience!
