Great directions, excellent tea house. Composting toilet is a bucket. Arrived to find other guest parked at common area. Slept in vehicle and left next morning.

Untouched Desert Dreamland Teahouse
The teahouse camping site was beautifully remote and eclectic. We enjoyed the wide open expanse and views. A couple parts of the gravel road we were glad we had 4 wheel drive and high clearance. Would strongly recommend this to future visitors especially if they have heavy camper or hauling a trailer.

Great spot to spend the night! Patrick’s land and tea house structure are beautiful, and we were able to find it in the dark without issue.

The Teahouse is a beautiful creation marking this serene piece of land. The surrounding view is breathtaking, offering silence, sights of the sunset and sunrise, moon and stars. A wonderful place to tent camp or car camp. Soul nourishing. Will be returning soon!

Untouched Desert Dreamland Teahouse
I drive a Subaru Crosstrek and didn't have any issues with getting up the big hill on the property, but I can say ground clearance was less of an issue for me than the ability to propel the car forward up the hill. I don't think I would've trusted my RWD truck to get me up the hill, so keep that in mind when considering booking this location.
I wanted a remote, peaceful location for me and my dogs to car camp on a short weekend tour of Big Bend Country, and we got everything I was wanting with this spot. The dogs had a great time exploring the property in the morning, and I had a great time being outside in my favorite state.

Patrick provide clear directions to the property and clear instructions to the camping area. I arrived late at night and was able to find a cleared spot to camp. The campsite site is pretty basic but there is a composting toilet a simple outdoor place to cook. There was one place that had a rut in the road that caused me to go off the worn path so I wouldn’t get stuck in my Subaru. The scenery of the Chinati mountains are beautiful.

It's super remote and beautiful. It was great being able to show up and have a quality tent all set up (with a bed inside), with a fire pit right there. We did hikes in nearby Big Bend Ranch, which is amazing, too. We love the place!

Beautiful serene space. Full of positive peaceful energy. You can tell that a lot of love was put into constructing the space and it’s truly a beautiful place to be. Surrounded by gorgeous views every way you look.

Beautiful land but the written instructions to the site were not done well and we ended up getting lost for 2 and a half hours in the dark desert lol. Markers were not clear on the road. There was no properly cleared path, and saw dust for the outhouse was out the first 2 days we were there. I also wasn’t told there would be other campers on the site with us until the day we got there. I think this would be a great place to stay if adjustments were made.

Our stay at Desert Tea House was quiet, peaceful, and naturally impressive. During our visit my husband and I enjoyed the outdoor space of this exquisitely rugged and intriguing Hipcamp. Well-maintained with a fire ring, simple outhouse, walking paths, large tables, and even larger
views—it was a perfect spot to unplug and get back to nature. The panoramic landscape was unfiltered, vivid, and beautiful.
Our favorite part of our stay, aside from those vast views, was our tea ceremony with our host Patrick. A unique, hand-crafted structure on the property was the venue for this delightful sipping of delicious, aged tea. With the grand backdrop of the coarse desert landscape, this zen-like, elegant ritual became a highly memorable moment during our travels. Thank you, Patrick!
My husband and I greatly enjoyed the time spent at Desert Tea House and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking to enjoy a lovely cup of serenity. Thank you, Patrick, for your genuine hospitality and easy-going nature. It was a pleasure meeting you!

My love stubbled upon this campsite on our map and was curious to know what it was. After some research we found that this is an absolutely beautiful spot and it’s extraordinarily divine. You can even request to have a tea ceremony too!! 🍵
Due to limited service we made reservations on a whim and didn’t know if we were going to be approved for the reservation so we decided to head this way and check it out.
⚠️ WARNING⚠️ wait for Patrick to send you a map! Your app will do you dirty and get you lost or stuck!! 😅
But it’s so peaceful and the area around the tea house feels so sacred. This is definitely a mystical part of the desert and they’ve done a remarkable job creating a beautiful experience for everyone. Come & check it out! 🍵💚🌵☀️

Untouched Desert Dreamland Teahouse
The land was well-maintained, clean and inviting. It was the perfect combination of seclusion and accessibility. I managed to get a sedan up the road and it was well worth it. This is almost a full day's drive from my home but so worth the trip, and I plan to return. The tent provided the best sleep i got on my entire camping trip. Thanks for an awesome experience!!

We van camped here for 3 days. And WOW WOW WOW. the desert view was breathtaking. It was my birthday, and we needed to be out away from everyone and everything and just vibe in the desert. To Slow down. It was perfect. It was very windy for part of the stay, but that allowed for some cloud formations to paint the sunset in the most brilliant and beautiful pinks and purples. We took a million pictures. The tea house with the mountains and sunset behind it gave us the feeling that we were in a sacred space. A desert temple.. We visited their Big Buddha Bakery in town , and met the hosts. The food and coffee was deelish and they were super nice. We had other plans , and did not do the tea ceremony , but if we were to visit again we would do it for sure. Something magical is surely happening in this desert. 🌵 🏔 🫖

Desert Love Den
Sunset and sunrise were both stunning. We loved the seclusion and the quiet. We were also blown away by the wooden structure. It was almost unreal. The fire pit was perfect for staying warm and heating up food. The tent was super clean and cozy. I would say my 4x4 came in handy on a small patch of the road.

This campsite was so beautiful. Very remote and the platform built for tea ceremonies is awesome. Patrick and Diana were amazing hosts. We went to their bakery, Big Buddha Bakery in the morning and it was so good!
Highly recommend staying here if you want a remote desert experience where you can stargaze peacefully.
I also recommend booking a tea ceremony with Patrick. We did a sunset tea ceremony on the platform and it was my favorite part of our trip to west Texas! It’s such a unique offering.
I can’t wait to come back as soon as I can!
