Approximately 20 acres on a creek to explore with lots of curious wildlife including turkey, deer, and armadillos. Walking trails abound with 2 reservable campsites with firepits, and an unbeatable sunset view overlooking a quiet creek. Contactless check in, unique gate code provided prior to arrival. Centrally located shared outhouse, just a 1-2 minute walk from any campsite.

    South Texas off-grid camping at its most rugged. No running water, no paved roads, no electricity.... but you get total privacy! Get away from it all and pitch your tent or hang a hammock in total seclusion under a grand oak tree canopy (with a few spooky onlookers lurking in the branches).  Steps away from the site is a little creek for wildlife watching or feeding the turtles and fish that call the creek home. Cozy site, great for couples and smaller groups with tents and hammocks. *For a more spacious site for larger groups, bonfires, teardrop trailers, and camper vans, check out Dead End Creek- Coyote Corner* Feel totally disconnected from civilization, yet you are only 10 minutes off the highway, and only 20 minutes away from the nearest town for supplies. Site includes designated in-ground fire pit, picnic table with benches, grilling grate and ample parking. Guests have access to a shared traditional outhouse that is a quick 2 minute walk away.

    No-frills off grid camping with creek access a short walk away. Coyote Corner is a wide, flat area with a large in-ground firepit, perfect for larger camping groups and contained bonfires. Multi-tent setups or boondocking your small camper or campervan is perfect here, as there is a lot of room to maneuver or set up a whole village of tents, along with plenty of open space for parking. Stargaze, wildlife watch, and nature walk among 20 rugged acres with a creek. You can listen to the coyotes serenade you all night, and sometimes catch one making a quick run across the area if they're feeling curious. Site includes a 6' picnic table, large portable grate for grilling, and a see-saw! Shared outhouse is a short walk away. Keep in mind that overhead clearance on the road is 10' and some parts of the access road are narrow and winding.     Very nice, remote campsite. Lots of space and open prairies with wildflowers and patches of oaks. Directions were clearly communicated and were clear on the ground once at the site. Would definitely recommend and plan to stay again if I’m passing through the area!

    Cool camping spot that you wouldn’t expect in a place like Goliad. We stayed in the Skulltree camp and the shade the two oak trees produce is perfect on warmer days. It stays ten to fifteen degrees cooler in the shade. Plenty of space to set up camp, there were quite a few fire ant mounds within the campsite so be careful for that. Hosts were fantastic, great communication prior to showing up, and they leave you be, wish we really loved and appreciate! Would highly recommend!!

    This property is incredibly secluded yet, very easy to get to. There is also a locked gate which, makes the property feel very secure and even more secluded. The campsite is nestled under 2 amazing oak trees that provide dense cover from the elements and excellent shade from the sun. There is a small stream nearby that has an abundance of turtles and fish to watch. The outhouse on-site is very primitive however, was extremely clean and free of bugs. When we arrived, there was a bundle of firewood and 2 bags of fish food waiting for us which, we purchased with the booking. We are definitely looking forward to another stay here!

    We loved staying here!! We had initially booked one night and as soon as we got here went ahead and booked a second 😅 The site was so cozy and secluded, we brought our blue heeler and since there wasn’t anyone at the other campsite he got to run around the whole time, he has so much fun swimming in the creek too!!

    Love this sunny, warm site! Cute see saw for playing and not a far walk from outhouse and the water! Always have a great time here, and will for sure return for year #4!

    I love, love this property so much! This particlar site is so eery and creepy, and beautiful! All at once! Skulls, butterflies and the water so close. Alana is always at the top of her game, making sure things are as they should be and the outhouse being added is great! Love the wild overgrowth too! We will 100% be back for next year (that will be the 4th trip!)

    We loved our experience at skull tree! We went to see the annular solar eclipse and we couldn't have been in a better spot! Peaceful, spooky, private, and beautiful. We stayed two nights and would certainly go back :)

    Loved how far out it was. Stars were incredible! Very easy to follow instructions to get there. The outhouse is essentially a litter box, which I thought was a clever solution to a difficult problem.

    beautiful as always! Millions of wildflowers! Lots of wildlife! We saw and heard deer, turkeys, turtles, coyotes, cows, lots of caterpillars and butterflies and one huge lizard that we named Harold =) I think this was our 5th trip here and we absolutely cannot wait to come back!! We didn’t even want to leave lol

    Such a beautiful and unique place to get away. We loved our stay, the creek was mostly stagnant water so we didn’t get in but that did not stop us from exploring the beautiful landscape and having an absolute blast. The entire area is well kept and maintained. The outhouse was incredibly clean. Alana was responsive and friendly, they were completely prepared for our stay. We will definitely be back.

    Great get away from everything. Nice little river full of fish and friendly turtles. Awesome huge live oak tree to camp under and great place to walk around. Alana was awesome making sure we had everything we needed. One of our favorite spots, will be back again and again. They now even have an out house.

    This was a nice relaxing place to camp and I didn't see a single mosquito the entire time we were there! With that being said, we basically won the $2B Powerball. Plus there's a nice BBQ place not far from it. The Live Oak tree at the camp site looks to be about 240 years old, which is amazing. Also, there is a very old and interesting cemetery on the way to the property, if you're into that sort of thing. We ordered three bundles of wood, and they were all there, neatly stacked at the camp site waiting for us. That was really nice. On a side note, the rocks used to make the fire pit are amazing. I don't know what they are, but they sure do look cool.
