Lofthaven Treehouse

The expansive canopy of cypress trees and our love for circular structures inspired this magnificent treehouse: the Lofthaven. An aerial yurt built around the trunk of an old-growth cypress tree, the Lofthaven is the perfect romantic getaway for outdoorsy couples. In addition to the 350 square-foot treehouse, a 700 square-foot bathhouse and kitchenette rests on the edge of the ravine connected to the bedroom by a 40-foot suspension bridge. The bathhouse boasts a one-of-a-kind waterfall tub made from local rock and wood—a perfect place to feel relaxed and restored.

The Nest Treehouse

In this treehouse, we employed our love of family and created a treehouse designed just for parents and kids (or just the kid in all of us)! With multiple bedrooms and space to stretch out, this treehouse supports adventure and relaxation for kids and parents alike. The Nest has an emphasis on ‘up-cycling’, and biomimicry. With features such as round rooms, green roofs, pallet walls, and a slab tabletop, this treehouse is one-of-a-kind. The Nest includes two bedrooms, a lounge for games or late night reading, and a kitchenette/dining room, all nestled above the beautiful creek ravine. An outside shower offers guests the ability to rinse off under the stars, and a small bridge connects you and your family to your own bathhouse complete with a bath/shower combination. The Nest sleeps four guests regularly, but can accommodate up to six using the convertible bean bag chair to create an additional queen size sleeping space on the floor of the lounge.

Willow Treehouse
Difficult time getting in the first night. Instructions were never sent for how to get in the gate and no one was available by phone to help us out. Luckily we were able to open the gate manually and took a wild guess the code to our treehouse was the last four of the cell number. It’s really close to the road so the quiet treehouse escape I was hoping for was interrupted by loud trucks in the morning. Overall the property is nice and well maintained. I’d come back and stay further in the property for some peace and quiet. The pool is great and there are hammocks and grills.

The campsite was clean and cute, exactly how pictured online. However, there were some inconveniences. For example, my husband and I went for a getaway during the month of may. We had a feeling that the glamping tents were not equipped with AC (which was not noted on their site), so we figured they would at least provide a portable fan for their guest, again… we were wrong. Thankfully, we were equipped with two small portable fans of our own. Unfortunately, the two small fans that we brought weren’t enough to cool us down in May. My second complaint is that it’s posted on their site that they have a “nature inspired outdoor pool (seasonal)” which sounded so nice to relax in during this heat. We went down to check out the pool and surprise surprise…. No pool. It was completely dried out, with cracks on the wall… and broken beams up top. Looks like it’s been out of commission for some time. If there is no pool to offer your guest in the dead of summer, I recommend removing that from your “on sites” list. My husband and I only last one night out of our 3 pairs nights. It wasn’t even worth the hassle of trying to get my money back for all the false advertising. Even as we were leaving, a gentleman who was staying at a treehouse was packing his things early and leaving. He was experiencing the same things we were - he even offered us his treehouse but we already booked our hotel. Such a waste. Don’t bother booking until they fix some of these issues.

Unbelievably beautiful property
Juniper Treehouse
SO CUTE! if you're looking for a unique stay, this is your place. Very tidy for being so nature oriented! Even the bathrooms/showers! Supposedly there's a Zipline on the property too, we just didn't have time, bummed we didn't, but we may certainly be back to Texas to stay here again - maybe even for our wedding 😉

Cypress Valley Glamping Tents
Staying at Cypress Valley was a truly incredible experience! I can't recommend it enough. The property astoundingly beautiful and serene, while the staff is very attentive and committed to ensuring that every guest's stay is unforgettable. All-in-all, I can't wait to come back and stay again!
