We loved our first stay at Lynda’s.
Ruston took care of us mainly from picking the best spot that suit us, we had a great time and this is the place if you want to experience the real “Southern Hospitality”.
They have bathrooms, showers, even a kitchen, literally everything.
It’s a 200 acres land so you won’t have to worry about bumping up with other campers, you can be as private or involved as you wish.
We will be back for sure!! And thank y’all again for making this stay great for us.

Tyler Park - Outhouse site -1
It’s an ideal woodsy campsite with a picnic bench, clean outhouse as advertised, flat spots for tents and a pond. The frogs were not too loud at night by the pond - just the right amount of nature sounds. We took the row boat out and used the life jackets from the chest by the pond (beware of aggressive wasps in the chest! They keep wasp spray in the porta potty.)
It was about a 1/3 mile walk (or bike ride) to the wedding venue to use the nice showers and kitchen. The VERY big and loud but VERY smart and friendly (don’t be scared) family dog guided us along the trail to and from the venue. Highlight for us!
Lynda and Ruston were so welcoming and accommodating. We saw that is was supposed to rain by 5am and Ruston offered to move us closer to venue. (But we slept in our van so we could stay at the campsite.) And we got so lucky that we happened to be there for Easter Sunday and we were invited to the family breakfast and egg hunt. Perfect for our 4 year old and so thoughtful. Then we got to meet all the farm animals. Just a magical time!

We were luckily the only ones camping this weekend so they allowed us to camp wherever.☺️ we ended up by the catfish pond and absolutely enjoyed it! Our dogs were having so much fun swimming & we paddled out on the water. Hiking the property was pretty fun too! Their dogs did show up to say hi & even followed us around some of the property :) luckily our dogs are friendly. We loved it :)

This camp ground is beautiful and peaceful. An abundance of dogwoods, pine, and other trees. Catfish pond was the first thing we saw when we got up in the morning. So calming watching the water and listening to the morning birds singing while we sipped our coffee. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful and always available. My family and I will be adding this wonderful site to our favorite campgrounds.

Good instructions to find the site, beautiful spot, peaceful and enjoyed the walk to Alien lookout, wish i had of brought a fishing rod as plenty of activity in the pond, beautiful surroundings and enjoyed the campfire, would definetly go back.

Site 1 - RV Camping at Coppergate Ranch
The location was pretty with lots of trees. The water and electricity were easy to hook up to. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. My only concern was that there was a lot of poison ivy and some broken glass on the ground. They recently had a tornado and were moving a lot of Halloween stuff around. The haunted walk they do in the fall looks pretty cool just from the stuff they already have out.

Had a great stay! The pond was awesome, caught some fish and went kayaking! Very peaceful and relaxing and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure my stay was great! The breakfast was really good too!!

We absolutely loved our one night stay at Catfish Pond. The ambient noise of the pond and wood creatures was lovely to sleep by. The hosts were delightful and were above and beyond helpful. Ordering breakfast before we hit the road was an over the top treat.

We loved it here, had the entire pond to ourselves on one of the busiest weekends of the year (eclipse 2024). None of the others campers came to swim or fish, so my kids and I got lots of kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in. It was a blast. We would definitely return to this same site given the chance! We also got to learn line dancing at the community center. The hosts were great!

Lynda and Rustin were very kind & helpful hosts. The camper was comfortable, though we had an issue with the a/c not working--it was a newer camper, so apparently they will be getting it fixed under warranty. But he tried really hard to get it fixed while we were there, and went out of his way to grab us some dinner on the night it started raining when we missed the time frame when they were doing some BBQ.
Be aware that if you have smaller or less-socialized dogs who like to be outside, there can sometimes be other larger dogs roaming the property, and they could overwhelm your dogs.
There are some nice trails to walk, which have some of the Halloween trail decorations still up. The pavilion event building is very nice, with full bathrooms available & kitchen access, as well as a bar and pool table and other games. They had a band for the night before the eclipse that was great!

Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. We had a large area to pick where we wanted our tent and we had no trouble finding a nice level spot. Kids had a blast with all the animals and enjoyed the small playground. The night before the eclipse they had a small band and a big potluck style meal.

Over the Easter weekend, our group of four adults and four kids (twins aged 8, a 7-year-old, and a 12-year-old) ventured to Catfish Pond, greeted by the serene beauty of nature and the warmest of welcomes. Upon arrival, excitement bubbled over as a paddleboat and kayak awaited us, promising endless water fun. The pond, an ideal size, beckoned the kids to master kayaking and paddle boating, while a trunk filled with adult-sized life vests ensured safety (tip: bring kid-sized ones).
Our adventure continued with a Saturday morning hike, a joyful exploration amidst the aftermath of recent rains, searching for earthworms and marveling at wildlife tracks. The country breakfast at the clubhouse, courtesy of our gracious hosts Linda and Ruston, was a feast for the senses with delicious eggs, bacon, waffles, and exceptionally good coffee, fueling us for more swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating. The campsite's charm, enhanced by the convenience of an outhouse and the luxury of hot showers at the clubhouse, made our stay comfortable. We extend heartfelt thanks to Linda and Ruston for their unmatched hospitality, making our Easter at Catfish Pond a truly unforgettable experience.

Tyler Park 3 - primitive, outhouse
Lynda's land was pretty and quiet at night. The host was very accommodating as our arrival time was later than originally planned. We visited Daingerfield State Park during the day and Lynda's land was in close proximity. We will definitely check availability in the future if we find ourselves in Mt. Pleasant again.

The owners went over their way to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. We had heavy rain and they came out with a tarp and firewood and helped us get nice and warm under the rain. We knew it was going to be rainy and muddy and they exceeded our expectations of what a good host would do. Thank you for making this a memorable family trip.

My family and a group of friends stayed overnight near catfish pond in mid March.
The first day had non stop rain, but the hosts were so kind and accommodating, they helped us get a large tarp canopy set up over the fire pit and assisted with getting the fire lit (the kids enjoyed the “flame thrower” they used to get the fire lit). It was a real morale booster
The second day was filled with fishing, paddle boating, horse petting and playing with friends. The host had a puppy that met the kids at the guest house and was very popular. We will absolutely come back and stay again.

We enjoyed staying on the Coppergate Ranch property! We brought the whole family, even our dog. This place is very dog friendly and very accommodating with everything we needed. The host/hosts were, also, very communicative and kind to us! Our favorites were the Kayak, paddleboat, and billiard table! Thank you so much Lynda, and Ruston and all the lovely doggies!

Lynda's spot in the woods is nice, clean and relatively quiet. This property is big enough to accommodate a RTT. It sits next to a pond and the outhouse is a short walk down a trail. A table with chairs, picnic table, 2 fire rings, a kayak and life jackets are provided. We were allowed to use a generator at this site. We went for a walk on the trail toward the other part of the property, which was really nice.

The Catfish Pond campsite offered a bit of everything. From campfires by the pond, plenty of trails to hike, and the convenience of being near a town for last minute items from Walmart. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive to any questions we had about the property, local wildlife, etc. Would book again in an instant and already making plans for next season.
