My friends and I had such a great time camping here! The view of the river was beautiful, we could birdwatch from our campsite (barred owl, red shouldered hawk, king fisher, great egret, red-bellied woodpecker), the bathroom, dish washing, and shower facilities were extremely well stocked and clean, we were given free recently felled wood to burn, we loved getting cozy by the large fire pit - it had foot rests and a surface for resting our stuff! Bridget was the most attentive and sweet host; she checked on us before we arrived, she immediately answered my questions about a fire ban, she visited after we got settled, she brought us a can opener when we forgot one, she checked on us when she was worried our neighbors might be too noisy (they werenā€™t). The only thing we didnā€™t love was how many ants were on the ground, but that 1. Comes with the territory of living in Texas and 2. Is a hard thing for any landowner to fix. Just make sure you wear socks and bug spray to prevent any bites! My friends and I agree that we found a new spot to add to our regular camping rotation, and we canā€™t wait to come back :-)

Terry's-Spot On The Rivers Edge
Terry's Spot is the perfect campground. Me and my company couldn't have enjoyed our time more. Everything was nice and clean. Bridget is the perfect hostess. Gave us a little tour of the land and showing us the hot tub shack. I highly recommend booking with Bridget for your next camping trip. We will be returning for another visit.

We fully enjoyed staying at Bridgetteā€™s place. We were a small group at site 3 with 2 tents, a truck tent and small travel trailer. We had plenty of space. There was another group at site 2. We could hardly hear each other (but did play some songs together). It was nice to have the bathroom close. It even had hot water. We look forward to staying there again.

Perfect weekend stay!
Terry's-Spot On The Rivers Edge
We had the most fantastic weekend staying on Bridgetā€™s land. The super cute camper was the perfect size for me and my 2 daughters. There were kayaks available and a boat that we were able to use on the river. The scenery was amazing and so relaxing- literally right on the river. The bathroom was the best I have ever used on a camping trip. There is a flush toilet and 2 showers with plenty of hot water! Bridget was so kind and communicative about the property and with questions I had. I will definitely be back. It is so worth it- you wonā€™t regret staying here!!

Terryā€™s Spot was underrated. Comfy queen size bed with working mini fridge/freezer, AC, toaster, coffee maker, TV with Netflix and other apps, wifi (although occasional off), cleaning products, with a working nice shower/toilet with hot water, plus you can fish, kayak/canoe, make fire, and animals all over the place for some friendly neighbors. All you can ask for glamping/camping and more!

The campground was very easy to find, and very natural. We really loved being there. The bathhouse was clean and spacious. One of my favorite parts was the large raised fire pit, with cook grate that could be over the fire or swung out of the way when not cooking.

First of all, thank you Bridget for your kindness & generosity. I would def recommend Riverbank site #2. Mother Nature was acting up the weekend of our trip. Due to unpredictable storms, the normal sandbar was underwater, and it was extraā€¦ā€œnatureyā€. When circumstances like this occur, itā€™s out of anyoneā€™s control. Youā€™ve just gotta lean in & make the best of it! Other than that, it was absolutely lovely! My husband and I, our 7yr old, my two stepdaughters, and our senior pup, all enjoyed ourselves. When we initially arrived, the weather was really nice. We put our tubes in the water & got our float on. The zephyrs dancing through the trees, the flow of the river, the picturesque landscape...Majestic! We brought our own canoe and had fun fishing and exploring. A couple of times we paddled hard upstream then let our paddling and the current propel us back downstream. Total shred points!!! lol The outdoor showers/bathroom were awesome! Thank you for providing such a thoughtful amenity. Just a note: The weather didnā€™t help this situation, but there were tons of ants! My two teenage stepdaughters were tripping about all the bugs, ants, and spiders! Iā€™ll say this, if youā€™re not easy-going, & if youā€™re fearful of bugs, ants, etc, this may not be the campsite for you. I grew up camping in SFL. Lots of mud & critters. Organic & beautiful in its own way. I love escaping the city and unplugging. Hubby & I canā€™t wait to come back alone & try the river-rat shack ;) Thanks again <3

We stayed in a mini trailer near the lake and had a great time overall. The lake view was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway. We loved that we could fish, though we wish the fishing had been a bit better. One downside was that the stove didnā€™t come with gasā€”we had to make a last-minute trip to Walmart 20 minutes away at 8PM. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

Great spot! We had it all to ourselves the whole weekend. It rained so the river was a bit high so we couldnā€™t really kayak without paddling against the current (which we did anyways!! Lol) great trip and time with family. Host was awesome and very accommodating. Clean facilities. Everything you need for a good reconnect with nature.

On The River Camping was such a perfect get away for my spouse and our closest friends. Despite lots of rain on Friday evening, the site dried out extremely well and made for an excellent weekend spot to just hang out, fish, kayak, and laze around while the kids were at their grandparents house! In addition to the awesome spot, Bridget went above and beyond on so many occasions. When our truck got stuck near by (not on her property), Bridget offered to inlist family to assist. She then was super flexible because of the rain and offered so many accommodations since Friday night got a little wonky for us! Finally, Hipcamp made a few billing errors, and Bridget spent a good amount of time emailing with customer service, while staying in contact with me the whole time, to make it right and make sure we didnt get overcharged (by Hipcamp) for the stay! 11/10 would recommend!

Lovely, peaceful campsite near the Colorado River, with plenty of room to spread out. We got luckyā€”we were the only ones camping so had the place to ourselves all weekend. Bridget was a fantastic and welcoming host, immediately responding to all of our questions and requests. Electric hookup at site and communal bathhouse and dish washing area were great amenities. We loved our time here and will definitely return!

River Shack Ultimate Glamping

THE RIVER-SHACK
This is the perfect country retreat along the Colorado River! We stayed in the fancy river shack and the accommodations were absolutely amazing. The 1st night I used the outdoor grill which was perfect along with a fire pit evening. The host delivered two bundles of firewood immediately upon request at $10 a bundle. The second night was too windy for a fire but it was still great. The River Shack is just a short walk down to the river bank and there are two tent and camping sites close to the shore with their own amenities. All sites are peacefully and perfectly placed to provide a woodsy country private and tranquil get away feel. The River Shack itself is so attractive and the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom are perfect and modern, and can be compartmentalized with sliding doors. Three flat-screen TVs across the jacuzzi room, living room, and bedroom were great, along with a desk area for your laptop with wifi. Last and of course, the jacuzzi room lets you know you are "Glamping" in ultimate style and country grace! I literally watched the morning news with coffee in the jacuzzi! Why not! With nature watching I saw 10 deer total throughout my stay and a Cow! My Lady and family will return one day and get some fishing done!

One of the best out there. Bridget was fast to respond and really cares about the guest experience. She went above and beyond a few times unprompted. The sites were great and spaced well apart. Easy drive from Austin. Kayaks available for rent and we took them out to go fishing. Beautiful land that is well taken care of. Plenty of details that show that the property owners care - from the fire pits to the showers to the layout of the sites - all very well thought out. Our family had a wonderful time. One note - you can hear the train horns at night, which kept us up the first night. They didnā€™t seem to bother us as much the second night. Bring earbuds if youā€™re sensitive to that. Weā€™ll be back. Thanks again!

Site 2 On The River Camping šŸ•ļø
Really beautiful site. The river was great for fishing and paddle boarding. The kids had a blast. The bath house was clean and convenient. Bridget was responsive and helpful. The only small negative was noise at night (train, dogs barking); it isnā€™t terrible but detracts from the beautiful birds in the morning.

The Private Hideout Site 3
Beautiful spot!! We stayed 2 nights and had a blast! Right next to the river. Very clean amenities. Hot water! Bridget is awesome! Went out of her way to make our stay that much more. I highly recommend staying here!
