Each glamping tipi has a private fire pit with cooking grates, private hammock, queen beds, soft linens, cozy bathrobes, keurig coffee machine with complimentary coffee and creamer, refrigerator, and outdoor seating. Larger tipis and cabin sleep up to 4 with an additional full size sofa bed.
Tipis have access to 2 shared showers - one fully enclosed and one outdoor - and one shared bathroom with flush toilet and sink. Soap and shampoo are provided. Lounge in the shade of the communal area with fans, pillows, coleman stove and outdoor sink to wash dishes.
The casita/cabin sleeps up to 4 people and features a completely renovated - and fully enclosed within the house - school bus that serves as the main bedroom with queen bed, soft linens, seating area, mini-split A/C unit, and back window over the bed facing the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park - so you won't have to get out of bed to watch the beautiful, West Texas sunrise.
The main living area has a pull out queen sofa bed, seating area, mini-split A/C unit, a full kitchen with a gas two-burner cooktop, microwave, full-size fridge with ice maker, pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, wine glasses, Keurig coffee machine, and complimentary coffee and creamer.
The full bathroom has a flush toilet, hot shower, towels, hairdryer, soap and shampoo, plush bathrobes, and a claw-foot tub for your soaking enjoyment.
The large, sliding glass door of the main room faces the stunning Chisos Mountains, overlooking the tipis. The patio is equipped with an outdoor seating area, BBQ grill, private fire pit, and hammock.
On hot summer days, enjoy the private, shaded courtyard with a bonus outdoor shower.
Any one of our accommodations is perfect stay for either a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

Glamping Tipi - El Nuevo Sol

El Nuevo Sol is our 16' glamping tipi, equipped with a queen bed, soft linens and towels, plush bathrobes, coffee station with a Keurig single serve coffee machine, mini refrigerator, and outlets for charging computers and phones.
Each tipi features outdoor seating, a private hammock, and your own private fire pit with cooking grates.
As beautiful as our tipis are, it’s important to remember that, by design, they are not a completely sealed environment and you should still consider your stay as a “glamping” experience that does not include traditional air conditioning or heat.
In colder months a space heater, down comforter, and electric blankets are provided. In the summer months, along with one large fan in each tipi, we also have a 14,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We have found that these are best run overnight or on days when the temperatures are below 95.
Tipis have access to 2 shared showers - one fully enclosed and one outdoor - and one shared bathroom with a flush toilet and sink. Soap and shampoo are provided.
Lounge in the shade of the communal area with fans, pillows, a Coleman propane stove, and an outdoor sink for washing dishes. Please remember to bring your own 16oz bottle of propane as there may not be any left from the previous guests. We do not provide cooking utensils, dishes or flatware.
There are a total of 3 tipis on our 3-acre property, each spaced far enough apart to enjoy the quiet and solitude of the West Texas desert and stunning sunrises over the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park.

Located at the entrance to the Buzzard's Roost property, across the street from the Historic Terlingua Ghost Town, it is within walking distance to Terlingua's shopping, art, restaurants, and nightlife, and also conveniently located just minutes from the entrance to Big Bend National Park.

CHECK-IN PROCESS: We have a self-check-in, there is no on-site office. Check-in instructions including a Google maps link to the property and keyless entry door code will be sent via text message and email the morning of arrival. Check-in is any time after 4pm. Free parking spaces next to casita.
