Quincy gave me a spot to camp last minute even when the sites were temporarily closed. This doesn’t happen often and I would like to express my gratitude and say thank you. I will definitely recommend and come back here to camp and show support .

It was a very peaceful location. It would have been nice if the river had water but we can't control that.
It was fun for the grandsons first camping trip. They are already asking to go again and we will definitely be going again.

This place is great! I was there with me and my 4 kids and would 100% recommend. It is primitive camping! There is really good water at the play area. Lots of cool trails to explore. When we went the river was mostly dry but the kids still had fun exploring the river bottom. Give it a try!

Lovely location! Your off leash dogs will love it! Great path to the river for your water dogs. We'll definitely visit again. Responsive host.

We just finished our second camping trip at Broken Oak. It is such a beautiful and serene place. The campsites are well spaced out and each has its own scenic views of the land.

We really enjoyed this camping spot will definitely be coming back nice and quiet had a blast only thing it needs is an electric plug and grill other then that everything was perfect got to pet some cows on the property. Definitely recommend

We loved our stay at this camp site! The kids enjoyed exploring the river bead and hiking trails. The picnic tables with swings were also a nice touch. We will be back!

We loved tent camping at site 6. It’s a beautiful spot on the bank of the river (creek) with plenty of trees and an amazing table. There was also a stone fire pit and a small table for a camp stove or food prep. The site is perfect with plenty of room for 1-2 large tents and a flat area you could use for games or parking extra cars. The road into the site was fine for a minivan and probably would be fine even if it rained as it’s mostly grass covered. The campsites are well spread out and we didn’t even know there was another camper there until we took a walk around the very well maintained trail. The creek was mostly dry but we found a couple fishing holes and were able to catch some small fish. We will definitely be coming back.

The campsites are comfortable and creatively designed and the property is beautiful and well cared for. Aside from a bit of local highway sound, it was absolutely quiet and peaceful under the gorgeous oak trees. The host was super friendly, accommodating, and quick to communicate to my numerous inquiries.

If you're thinking if you should book this place, go ahead and do yourself a favor and do it. It is a piece of heaven. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The owner, Quincy, is super responsive and nice. He let our kids try his treasure hunt (a definite must add on if you have kids). Our kids had a blast exploring the land and the trail. They also adored watching the cows and swinging on the swing in the Secret Garden. We read the spooky stories that were written about Broken Oak River Park and the kids had a good scare. We stayed three nights and feel more relaxed than before we came. We immediately booked our next trip. The owner is working on improving the park and we're so excited to keep coming back and watching his progress. Broken Oak River Park is the best hidden treasure we've found. Absolutely our favorite camping site ever, and we're avid campers.

We loved staying at the Flamingo site! It was secluded and had close access to the river which was nice to cool down in. The host had mentioned there was recent flooding so the river was a little difficult to get in/out but the campsite was in GREAT shape! Thanks again for sharing your property with us!

We had the best experience at campsite 1! The map provided was very accurate and we were able to navigate the trail. The land was beautiful with wildflowers and well maintained. We will 100 percent come back!

We loved the park. We enjoyed that the sites are so spread out so your not on top of other campsites. The treasure hunt was a fun little excursion. Having a river right behind our campsite was awesome. Our dogs loved being able to be off leash. The park look beautiful and we will definitely try to make it back out.

What a great find!! Our campsite was amazing. It was clean, spacious, and felt secluded. The fire pit was really nice but we chose to rent the solo stove and it was a great decision for us. The table was this amazing 6-seater with swinging chairs. So far, it seems the usual camp pests (I’m talking about you, raccoons!) haven’t found the place yet so that was nice. The path around the property was nicely done and was fun for us - it would be even more fun for kids! Quincy was super responsive before booking and during our stay. He even left us a copy of the spooky tales he’s written. Each story tied in to different features in and around the camp grounds. It’s geared towards kids but it was still a lot of fun and even a little spooky for us old folks. The only downside was the road noise, but I’ve learned that that’s an issue almost anywhere you stay in Texas. On the bright side, the noise was minimal during sleeping hours.

This was a fantastic place to camp. Me and my daughter had a great time. The campsites were clean and well marked. The site I stayed at was amazing with chairs and a fire pit. The owner let us try out his new treasure hunt and my daughter loved it. I would 100% recommend this campsite for anyone who wants a nice quiet place to camp and hike!
