Riverside Primitive tent sites 1 and 2 are side by side (no water or electric). This site will accommodate 6 people, 2 pets, and up to 3 tents. Our Riverside sites are located on a flat grass lawn, offering plenty of room to set up camp under big Cypress trees and native Pecans, and are just steps away from the crystal clear Medina River. Tent sites include a BBQ Grill, Fire Ring, and picnic table. Riverside Wash station includes electric outlets to charge phones even your coffee pot. Extension cords are not allowed to be run to the tent sites. Two private, Full bathrooms are located at the top of the hill. It is a but of a steep walk, but we do have the "Boulderdash Biffy" on the lower level for those middle of the night excursions. Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park is a charming, hidden gem located off the beaten path deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Situated on 5 acres, the sites are spaciously nestled amongst the natural beauty of The Texas Hill Country. Our guests say they love being a part of the natural habitat, feeding the deer, birds, and watching wildlife. As well as, how peaceful, quiet, and relaxing their visit is. Although not a large park, there is plenty to do. Stella is a 1968 Boles Aero 26’ vintage RV and has been completely redone by Lyn & Carol-anne. Stella is perfect for a romantic getaway and she comes outfitted with comfy linens, towels and dishes. A bottle of wine, some food, and a great attitude is all you need to bring. You will have a fire pit, private deck, and a spectacular view. We are just 10 miles outside of Bandera so we offer the peace & quiet of the country, but are not far from all the action in Bandera. Stella will accommodate 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (6 and over). Welcome to the Boulderdash Barn! We invite you to come and enjoy lovely views, 300 feet of riverfront, bird-watching, nature immersing beauty along the crystal clear Medina river basin! Our Barn apartment is the newest edition to this unique property, and offers it guests all the comforts of home, glamping style! Our suite includes air conditioning/heat, cook top, fully stocked kitchen, fridge, microwave, private bathroom, queen bed, pull out full couch, and quirky cowboy style. We provide all the linens, so all you need to bring is a great attitude some drinks and food! Of course Bandera has excellent eateries so if you don't want to cook that's cool too! This accommodation sleeps 4 max, and is is pet friendly! We offer a queen bed as well as a pull out full sized couch for sleeping. The barn apartment comes with a private gated patio as well. We have a fire pit and grill for you in front of the Barn. Please note, you must be able to climb stairs, 22 of them to be exact, so may not be suitable for really small kids or those with knee problems.

Boulderdash is quite amazing! We usually camp in tent campsites because we have a tiny camper, and we don't like to be among huge RVs. Boulderdash is a quite small campground but the design is great and RVs do not face each other and are not lined up, so everybody has privacy. We stayed for the first two nights in the RV site 3, and for the last night we moved to tent site 1 by the river. The tent campsites are the best for who likes nature. While they don't have water or power at the campsite itself, they have a great outdoor washing area with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. There's a port-a-potty besides the bathrooms on the hilltop. Our campsite had a fire ring, a grill, a great picnic table, and you're steps from the river. Water was pretty low but it was running because there are some springs that feed into it. Everything at Boulderdash is well thought out, the bathrooms are super clean and cute, shower is FANTASTIC! Every picnic table has a flower arrangement and a jar of corn to feed the deer, and a small shop. Wi-fi made camping bearable to our teenage daughter. Also fantastic are the hosts: Carole-Anne is super friendly, and received us with a pumpkin bread that she baked to all campers who were there on thanksgiving. That really set the tone right. She was super accommodating to our requests, and is just an overall nice person. Their dogs and cats are super sweet, as are the deer that come every day to get sone corn. We had a wonderful time!

Great communication, wonderful location. It was very peaceful, close to the water, and it felt safe for me and my dog! The tent sites have a porta potty and outlets, very convenient. Highly recommend, it was a great time!

We had a great stay. Tent site 2 has lots of room and plenty of shade. It’s a short walk down the hill to the river. Having the sink and porta potty down near the site made life much easier. The facilities up top are nice. Having cornhole there to play was a lot of fun and one less thing to bring. We’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful experience! The host were super sweet and helpful. The campsite was perfect. We loved the fact there was Cornhole to play and it was our nightly activity. The view walking along the river was beautiful! I'm so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back!

Lyn & Carol-anne are incredible hosts and have one of the choicest plots of land along the Medina. Our favorite part was using the tubes they have available on site to float and soak in the sunshine. They have a lot of essentials on hand to buy if you forget something. We will be back :)

Stunning. My dog loved it! We saw many animals amazing place to get back in touch with nature, Good fishing, snorkeling was amazing, the camp site is well maintained, flat places for the tent. Trees were perfect for our hammock. Walk to the water is like three minutes with some rocks.The water is so clear, feel clean and wonderful, and its at its highest late spring, early summer. We went in September and it was deep enough to snorkel in. The night stars were so clear in this area! The owners were so nice. They stock the bathrooms with nice things. I would recommend

Bf and I went for an anniversary. It was just a little hard to find, but Carol-Anne explains all that online. I did love the amount of detail provided to campers before arrival, since I’m a planner and like to know the fine details of what a trip will be like environmentally. Carol-Anne was so kind!!! She has an amazing personality and let us do our thing while making sure we were informed. You can feed deer, borrow a hammock, get tinder and firewood, access a ton of nice optional amenities, and just enjoy being outdoors. Our spot was PERFECT. The site was closer to the neighboring site than I thought, but far enough away that the loud college kids didn’t really bother us. We arrived at 8 and got set up after the easiest check-in ever, found our spot, got situated, and there was a fire pit, a picnic table, complementary wildlife food, a nearby potty with cool facts about the place and owners, a softly lit tap sink and hose water and charging station that had a citronella candle, and a short walk from the site through some rocks to the river. The pictures do not do it justice! It was breathtaking, so fun to explore, had a nice bluff, tubing and swimming opportunities, space to sit and read in the water, and enough peace and privacy for a romantic getaway. It was priced well, too! It was so cool to share some love in a tent listening to the river or night swimming watching fishies, finding fun rocks, and being with like-minded folks with such positive energy! We’ll be back!

Beautiful location with a great view. Lots of whitetail deer and birds. Very cute "glampy" bathroom made out of old horse trailer. Fantasitc hosts and friendly neighbors. I plan to come back in the future!

Camping at Boulderdash was awesome and beautiful, very short walk to the river, the porta potty and wash station near the tent sites were perfect. There is a lot of room for activities and a lot of river to walk. We booked for 2 days but unfortunately the weather had other plans after the first night, we ended up needing to pack up and leave but carol anne was very understanding and definitely wanted to to feel safe in our decisions to stay or go. We will be back later this year when the weather cools again to enjoy this place to the fullest !! You won’t regret your booking here!

Carol-anne and Lyn greeted us upon arrival and offered any assistance since we are new to the RV life. They are amazing and friendly hosts! Grounds are very clean and well maintained. No issues with hookups. Beautiful views of the hill country. Perfect place for newbie RVers to stretch their wings! We plan to return in the future. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Boulderdash is a fantastic getaway. The hosts are just wonderful and so helpful. They have a little store where they stock ice and other stuff for sale. They will even rent a shade canopy to you so you can use it by the river. Their site was clean, and the Wi-Fi was great! We will definitely be staying there again. Travis and Raquel

We loved Boulderdash so much! It’s so quiet and peaceful. The water was perfect for the kids. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean. There was shade in all of the spots. We loved it so much we booked our next trip back while we were still there!

Carol-Anne and Lyn were incredible host and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The campground was a really sweet layout with great views, close to the water and awesome amenities. Would be an especially great spot for a big group camp

My family love our get away trip. The camp grounds were clean and the staff was very responsive if you needed anything. We went for Memorial Day weekend and while others were fighting for space to set up and hit the water. The camp grounds were spacious and other guests were quiet and respectful. Beautiful sights from the communal observation deck. We will be returning in the future.

Our stay at Tent Site #2 at Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park was absolutely wonderful! Carol-anne and Lyn were amazing hosts—friendly, responsive, and super thoughtful. They provided helpful tips before our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. The site was peaceful and well-kept, surrounded by nature and just steps from the Medina River. Even though it was a short hike to the bathrooms, we were well-prepared thanks to their clear heads-up and suggestion to bring a tent potty—especially useful since we were camping with our child. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the check-in process to on-site items like firewood and ice. The no-visitor and quiet policies helped make the space feel safe and relaxing for families. We made some great memories here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the outdoors!

We absolutely loved our stay! We spent the weekend kid free celebrating our 13 year anniversary & couldn’t help but talk about how much the kids would have loved it! Will definitely be back sometime soon with the kids! Plenty of areas to swim or sit in the water and enjoy the absolute peacefulness of the flowing water and watching the sunset!

We loved camping out at Boulderdash! The campsites were clean and well maintained. There are amenities like freshwater, WiFi, and electricity available if you’d like, but it doesn’t feel like glamping. If you forget anything, Carol-Anne and Lyn have it handy. The riverside sites are a short walk to wading in the Medina river. The kids and dogs had a blast. Campers who come here should abide by the camp’s simple rule; don’t be a jerk. We’re looking forward to coming back as soon as possible!

I would definitely consider myself an avid outdoorsman/camper, and let me tell you that I am glad that I found this spot. This location has everything you need, restrooms, community sink, and amazing access to the river. The campgrounds are very clean, and the RV sites are perfect. Carol Ann and Lyn put their passion for camping and traveling into their property. And it shows. These people made us feel like we were family, and honestly just want you to have a great experience while you’re at Boulderdash. If I could give this place 10 stars I gladly would. Thank you all very much me and my family, Hope to see you all soon again!

Camping at Boulderdash was absolutely amazing. We rented tent site 1 and our friends rented tent site 2 and it worked perfectly to have that area together. The sites were clean, quiet and had awesome amenities including the outdoor kitchen area to share with each other. This made washing dishes, charging devices and washing hands so easy. The river is beautiful despite being low and there is easy access to it. They are pet friendly as long as your pet is friendly and that's a huge plus. The hosts were so kind as well, they even put on an easter egg hunt for all the kids on site Saturday night. I can't say enough great things and will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful spot. We camped with friends in tents and the amenities were awesome. There was tons of space between the RV sites, tent sites, cabin and trailer. Carol-Anne and Lyn were very helpful and accommodating. There were very nice extras like an Easter egg hunt and feed corn at the site. We will definitely be back.
