Everything was perfect and quiet and clean! A very wonderful and relaxing environment with many shade trees. The staff was helpful and communicated well. They offered many helpful tips to view the city as well.

Awkward Turtle was everything I expected! Great location, simple amenities, and wonderful shade trees. Reminiscent of simpler times. We look forward to another stay when next in Austin.

Great location for walkers. Looks like a few full timers love there but nothing to worry about you get that in any RV park. Look forward to returning.

Great location! Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping! Very friendly people and quick responses from Craig! We needed to come in a night early and he was very accommodating! Will definitely be returning!!

Place to park in Austin, we dry camped as the 8 spots with water were being taken up by long timers it seems... Shorty brought us a firepit & pecan wood! A little steepcat $40 a nite though...

We had a nice time at Awkward Turtle. We definitely weren’t the most amazing hipsters in the campground (there were four Airstreams and a cool converted school bus and us), but everyone was super nice and friendly. Lots of kids playing and riding their bikes in the roomy camping area.
There is a water line along the fence which we didn’t use, but the family next to us was hooked up to it and it seemed to provide them with lots of water. A recycling bin and trash bin were near the entrance and empty, so no problem disposing of our trash or any weird smells.
We were very satisfied with our stay and even walked through Pecan Grove and ogled at the cool Rvs before strolling to the local food trucks for dinner.
We’ll definitely stay again and we’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good boon-docking spot.

If you're into food trucks, great restaurants, and quick access to downtown, and can dry camp for a few days this spot is for you.

Great location! Your in one of the best spots in Austin. Close to the trail for running/walking and next to Zilker Park. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The spaces are big and easy to get in and out. This place is no frills but it’s worth booking to stay in downtown Austin.

You could not find a better place in downtown Austin. You can walk to everything! They even have water.
