You will not find a better campground for a better price than Tri Mountain View!! Tim, the on-site host, was incredible! He was so kind and generous and went above and beyond for whatever we needed or asked for. The campground itself is wonderful! Amazing scenic views, a beautiful campground layout with all the black walnut trees, the peace and tranquility offered was fantastic, and the hot showers and laundry were a very nice addition. There is tons of space on the land, so you never feel like you are too close to anyone else.
Tim was so gracious and hospitable and the fact that this campground is so affordable makes you want to stay forever! They do not even charge for firewood or laundry usage! There is also a Dollar General and a country store down the road if you need some supplies.
It was also great learning about the history of Shady Valley and surrounding areas.
I would 100% recommend Tri Mountain View and look forward to staying there again! Thank you, Tim!

In all our years of Camping and RVing this is my favorite place. The views are breathtaking. Hook ups were very simple. Easy pull thru site. Super quiet. We will be back in the fall. Well worth the 7 hour drive!

Great spot!! Tim met us as we were pulling in, directed us where to park, and helped us get hooked up to the utilities. He had mowed the perimeter of the property so we were able to go for a little stroll before going to bed. Pretty sunset and quiet location. Great stay!!

A huge, beautiful, retreat, overlooking rolling hills. Very quiet, lots of star shine. Dotted with hammocks. Very clean restrooms.
Tim was there to greet me on arrival, guide me to my spot, and make sure I had all the information I needed. Easy to contact and encouraged me to call with any questions or problems. (I had non). Very welcoming!!

very nice spot. quiet, peaceful, and some amenities to stay comfortable - bathhouse, water source, even wifi. there were a few hammocks, fire rings, firewood, etc that were all evidently up for grabs though we didn't use any of them. other were a couple other groups but everyone was pretty quiet and respectful

We loved our stay here and will definitely recommend it to our friends! I'm glad I picked Site 5 with the canopy and Edison lights. I and my friend will definitely come back. I had assumed there would be electric for my Cpap machine. (My bad, lol). But, there was just an outlet for the edison lights. No problem, because the host ran a very long outdoor extension cord for me to plug up my machine. Thanks! Our host was very nice. Our view in the front was a lush green hillside and the hills in the distance. Behind was a grove of lovely trees. It was a perfect setting in nature and very quiet at night. I would love to come back in the fall to see the fall colors. There is a bath house and laundry, washer and dryer, and Wifi, yay!! The quaint city of Damascus is about 15 minutes away. It's an Appalachian Trail town and you can access the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail. Bikes are available to rent at several stores. There are several hiking trails in the area and lots of scenic views. Overall, I was completely satisfied. I live 3 hours away so I look forward to staying here several times a year.

We absolutely loved camping at Tri Mountain. Being able to tent while also having a hot water shower on demand is a luxury that cannot be overhyped. Tim was a great host. Would (and likely will) stay here again!

Loved my stay in the yurt. The 360 views of the mountains and valley were stunning and it was soooo peaceful. Even after an unexpectedly wicked thunderstrom ripped some of the anchors loose the second night, Tim came right away to fix them and check everything else and the rest of the stay was wonderful. Only thing I would change would be having a less glaring light over the bathhouse as it "Over lit" the whole area and the yurt...while great not to need a latern/flashlight it detracted from the campfire/camping ambiance. But would I let that deter me from returning? Hell no! It's a lovely spot and the owners were wonderful, gracious hosts. Thank you.

The veiw was wonderful. We booked this site morning off and reached out to host, he gave us his relatives #. So we reached out to him. Other than that there was no communication. The gps took us directly to the drive so that was a plus. The campsite was very inexpensive. And we surely appreciated the shower after a long drive. It was very private and quiet. The only thing I would say could use improvement would be the communication, we were unable to connect to the internet because there was no WIFI passwords posted and no one replied to our messages about us arriving and booking. Maybe it was a busy weekend for them but in the morning we had to drive to the local DG to steal their WiFi to load our GPS. But other than that it was a great stay. If you’re looking for some me-time or to disconnect this is the place to do it without having to dig a cat hole!

Beautiful, quiet space. We loved the area and also loved that a bathroom with a shower was on site. Do note that the water was not hot for the shower, though!

This hipcamp is absolutely gorgeous! In addition to the views, it is very well maintained and they went above and beyond - little things like there is a washer/dryer, dog bags available, and a garbage can so you don’t need to take your garbage with you. There are multiple sites all packed together so if they had been full, it wouldn’t have been as peaceful, but we had the place almost to ourselves and it was amazing! It was a quick 20 min drive to Damascus for the creeper trail and we hiked Backbone as it was on the drive back. I would definitely recommend!

The property owner and onsite host were very nice and prompt. The property has a wonderful view and it's a great location. The bathhouse was dirty during our 3-night stay and had an overwhelming musty smell.

I wish I had more time here. I arrived much later than anticipated and had to be on the road early. Walter was a great host, texted me once he saw I was coming in after dark to make sure I was able to get to the site.
I awoke to a beautiful view and had a chance to see what I missed by arriving late. I will definitely return and look forward to exploring next time.

This camp site is in a beautiful location, quiet, peaceful, and laid back. Waking up to the roosters crowing in the distance. Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

This is a very beautiful Hipcamp. I would certainly stay again. The only negative thing I would say is that the owner needs to add better signage for both the camp sites and also the restroom/shower. I stayed in site 9, which is off of the road at bit, and I could not see the site sign without stopping and walking around. This is a very minor thing, but I just wanted to point it out for anyone else may need to know. I'm actually going back to this area next month and will book it again. It's peaceful and really nice camping amoung the trees.

Private, and secluded. Loved the option of hanging in the hammock, but there was plenty of room to set up my 4 person tent as well. The little bathhouse was very convenient.
