The River Bed is a campground and hostel located at the gateway to the Cherokee National Forest and the Ocoee River. We offer simple, private rooms for nightly rental, including air-conditioned and rustic options. Our primitive camping area is ideal for hammocks or simple tent setups, and the shared bathhouse is just steps away from all of our accommodations. Swap river stories around our peaceful community fire pit or connect with new friends in our open-air barn lounge. Our mission is to create a safe space for outdoor enthusiasts to connect. We believe in healing through nature and community and have curated a place to do just that. The River Bed is a place where you can arrive alone but are guaranteed to leave with new friends, paddling partners, and adventure buddies. We are a place for river people, run by river people.

We have a beautiful wooded camping area equipped with picnic tables and a community fire pit. The campground is generously shaded and ideal for hammock camping or simple tent setups. Choose your spot on a first-come, first-served basis. Vehicles are not allowed in the camping area, but parking is just 100 feet away!

A rustic, low-budget option for those looking for something simpler. These private rooms feature a window or box fan and either two twins or a queen bed. The floors are concrete, and the walls are not insulated. Guests are required to supply their own bedding/ sleeping bags for these rooms. This is your typical "camp bunk room".
