The Ole Place

Such a relaxing getaway. It’s well kept and quiet. This will forever be the place my dog learned to balance on the paddle board! No one else was there when I was but the sites are well spaced for privacy. Would definitely come here again.

Fantastic facility. The cabin is the perfect combination of primitive and sheltering. The view from the porch is phenomenal and having firewood on sit was a massive plus. Will 100% return for a longer trip.

Loved it. Ended up sleeping in the back of my Toyota Yaris and got there really late but the people that were camping nearby were amazing and I was hoping to see Gary because he seemed cool but overall I love this place

Was a very nice getaway for me and my girlfriend, during the week we had the whole place to ourselves. Fishing was fun lots of bluegill and some bass. We visited many places during our stay. Lots of things to do and see with an hour drive. Falls creek falls was our favorite. Firewood being provided was super nice. No yellow jackets.

Fantastic Site!!!

Fantastic site! We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May and will most definitely be back. We have a very large tent and this site was absolutely perfect. Had plenty of room for our set up and for our two large dogs to roam on a tie out cables. The sites are very well maintained and the included firewood is a HUGE bonus. The site is located right on the pond and a short walk to the shower facility. All the sites were occupied during our stay, but spread out enough that we still felt secluded and had privacy. If you are looking for a lovely quiet stay in nature, this is it! Highly recommend!

Our Second Stay

Our second trip camping at The Ole Place. Kids enjoyed the boats and the wife and kids caught several fish from the 3 acre stocked pond (catch and release) The firewood stacked nearby is really a perk of this spot. Randy is quick to respond if needed. Even with several spots reserved that weekend, there is a ton of privacy. Zero road noise, just frogs and crickets to fall asleep to.

Very nice spot. We were the only campers in the dry camping area. There was an out house that we chose not to use. It did need some attention. It appeared it would have to be shared with others in that area if there were more campers. The owner was very friendly. He came to warn us of a potential tornado and suggested places to go on the property if the need arose.

Great spot! This private campground was relaxing and had good amenities. Free firewood was 10/10. The cabin was stocked with very helpful items and clean. There is a lot of good hikes and waterfalls close by.

New annual family get together site

We loved Randy's property!! We rented all of the sites to host our new annual family get together. The grounds were beautiful and clean. The paddle boats were a big hit with the kids. There were a lot of great places to fish and places to walk and ride bikes. Randy provided an abundance of firewood so we could enjoy sitting around the campfire and eating s'mores. We were especially appreciative of Randy notifying us about weather alerts. What a great spot to get away. We highly recommend this spot.

Camping with the whole family and p

Great spot with plenty of space and a pond side view. Free firewood was nice, and the host was thoughtful, checked in about the weather and made sure we were set. Even with some rain, we stayed dry and had a great time. Good fishing as well.

I really enjoyed this camp. I believe I was the only one camping the night I stayed and it was very peaceful. Randy was extremely kind. I was staying one night in a tent and that night there was forecasted to be some rough weather so he messaged me and gave me the code to the cabin if I needed to seek shelter. Went Rooftop Tent camping with my youngest and my dog to check this place out. Even though it rained 90 percent of our stay and we had a blowout on the trailer tire on the way home, I've already booked another stay with the rest of the family in a few weeks. That's how nice this place is. Boats, fish, shower, firewood, peace and quiet, This place is a gem and there is nothing about staying here that you will regret.

This is a beautiful camping spot! We loved the fire pit with the adjustable grill attached. There’s just something about a steak cooked over a campfire 🔥 that can’t be beat. The site was very spacious with lots of green grass for our pups to play and roll in. The reflection of the trees on the pond was picturesque. Peaceful is an understatement. Randy was very easy going, quick to respond, and helped us with an item we had forgot. We will be back as soon as we can! I would highly recommend!

Excellent hidden gem. The site is very well thought out with ample space for privacy if alone, but not too distant if you come with others. There is something here for everyone. Fishing in the pond was great and the onsite paddle boats are a nice touch. Peaceful, serene wooded atmosphere. Randy was a gracious host with grade A communication. We will be back!

Beautiful place & the kindest host! We look forward to coming again. The property was clean and peaceful. He made this the perfect retreat for our little family. We had such a great camping weekend with family and friends! It was the perfect site for all of us + the paddle boats were such a hit with our kids! Been staying in Tennessee for almost 3 weeks now and it's hands down the best place I've stayed yet. So relaxing, right by the pond. Host leaves firewood under the tarp you can use. The kids loved the paddle boats. You can fish in the pond and have a rock fire pit, without the metal ring. Level ground and an easy drive to get there. So nice to have the electric, water, porta potty and shower. Definitely the most amazing property I've ever had the chance to stay at.

Perfect vacation!

Randy's cabin is perfect. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, quiet, every amenity and more. Great for the dogs too! Lots to do in the area. Thank you Randy for being a great host and allowing us to stay at the cabin. I recommend everyone stay at Randy's little piece of paradise.

Peace and tranquility.

Randy has a wonderful hidden gem here! We camped in one of his dry camps at the edge of a gorgeous, large pond. The quiet was complete other than the pond frogs at twilight, birds, a pair of geese that came in for the night at dusk. Very clean campground. Plenty of firewood on site. Composting toilet effective. We’ll be back. Thank you, Randy!

We loved tent camping at Dry Camp 1. The location was great, close to some of our favorite trails. The property and pond were beautiful and we had no trouble finding our site. Would definitely recommend!!
