Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire.  Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.  Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.  The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite.  Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway.  It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site.  Site 2  (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container.  Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp.  Both are equidistant to the outhouse.  There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.  The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does! Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. We don't leave any bundles, just find down limbs and presto, firewood. DO NOT USE THE MAP LISTED OR GOOGLE MAPS; it will take you straight through water. We send detailed directions to you once the day before your booking. Please plan to travel in with daylight, it is incredibly difficult to navigate to our space in the dark. You will find The Swings site by driving slowly once you have turned left into the driveway. About halfway to the container you will see a sign on a tree, there is a U-shaped drive on your left that goes straight back to The Swings campsite. Park in the top of the U and walk 15 feet to the site. There is a small firepit. Walk away from the main road and straight down to a trail that will take you on a loop around the 10 acres. There are small pieces of red tape on trees to help you navigate.

The site next to the reddish container is just a wide open flat spot. You are basically car camping, as the driveway is only 15 feet from the spot. That being said you are not in the middle of the property, but rather just off the driveway so folks driving by will see your car and tent. You are welcome to walk further down and into the middle of the 10 acres and camp wherever you feel comfortable if you would like more privacy. There is not much traffic, but people do live here so residents drive by. You simply turn into the driveway, drive straight back and park.

The Swings
We had an amazing time primitive camping! The host gave clear, helpful directions that made finding the site easy. There are two campsites on the property, and we were lucky enough to have the whole area to ourselves. There was plenty of firewood to be found around the property. The site perfect for our small dogs—they could roam freely without any concerns. There’s a hidden blue hole, which was a great bonus. It’s about a 45-minute round trip hike—downhill on the way there and uphill coming back. Some sections of the trail are a bit overgrown, and we did pick up a few ticks, but that’s pretty normal for this kind of outdoor adventure.

The site is big and open. The owner, Taylor came out and cut up wood for us. That was awesome. The lake is close and the fishing good. Very little car traffic, only see one maybe 2 a day. Out house is good. The stream was dry and the hike was laborious but worth checking out. All in all a great location. Thanks taylor and Jeanette. We'll be back for sure!

If you want a real "adventure/wilderness" type of experience, this is for you! Getting to the camp site alone was an adventure for my son and I. Perfect for an "off-roading" type experience. Personally, having the opportunity to experience this with my vehicle was awesome. The property itself is a treat to behold. Beauty everywhere you look. From the stones to the trees, we enjoyed every bit of it. Regrettably, we didn't get the full experience due to time restrictions but there's always another time. Thank you guys so much!

This property is gorgeous. The blue hole was the highlight of the trip, it is absolutely magical down in the gorge. Unfortunately it was not warm enough to swim but some of the mountain laurel and rhododendron were still in bloom so we hung up our hammocks and just enjoyed the view. The trail down to the blue hole could use some TLC and clearer signage but overall wasn’t bad. I will definitely be returning to camp here with friends!

Jeannette was a great communicator, gave us a refund when Hurricane Helene canceled our plans the previous week, and was super helpful and accommodating. Spot was perfect and the chairs, table, and fire pit were fantastic. Cute spot!

Host was very responsive and walked me through to get me to the site. Absolutely beautiful mountain top and beautiful creek below. It’s was absolutely peaceful, the only wild animals I saw were a few turkey. It was so quiet my pups and I just slept on a pallet both nights under the stars. ✨ 🌌🌱🐕🌙

This camping spot was amazing! So much open space and far enough away from anyone else that we didn’t have to worry about bothering anyone. Owners were very informative about getting there and helpful with any questions we had. 10/10!

My 11 year old son and I enjoyed staying at The Land for a couple of nights. The swings were fun, and we had a good time exploring the area and walking along the bouldery creek shore. Both of the camp sites are within about 150 feet of a private drive, and saw a half dozen or so cars a day. The scenery is very nice, and I would stay here again. Jeanette was very responsive to my inquiries and messages.

Everything was awesome! I booked last minute because I was camping alone and didn’t feel 100% safe at the original campsite I had booked. They were super accommodating. Only thing is my dogs chased after some ATV’s and I think ended up in the neighbors yard however they came back and were fine!

The directions getting there was great. It was a nice long trip down a dirt road to get to the site. At first we were very excited till after walking around seen the other campsite, it was trashed like the last campers had a big party and no one not even the hot had come to clean it. From the looks of things the host hasn’t been to the property in a bit or if they had should have clean the area with camper on their way. The brush and bushes has started growing up around the swing area almost making it hard to see where some of the swings were. I would suggest some goat scaping to help clear the under brush that in the camp site area and going to the campsite before you have known campers to make sure everything in nice and neat. It was sad to see the beautiful land trashed like that showing us the host don’t really care about the land or how it looks. I do hope in the future the host do a better job of cleaning up trash from unruly campers so other campers can enjoy a nice clean area.

Excellent hosts and a great unique plot of land with hidden treasures, and endearing for anyone wanting an enjoyable experience. Definitely much easier to navigate traveling during the day and drive slow every bit of the way. Also excellent and communicative hosts who really take pride in their land and ache for their guests to have a memorable experience. Thank you! Will be traveling back in the future :)

My wife and I went with my sister, her husband and our two niece's. The girls spent ALOT of time in the old cabin playing games and exploring. We thought it was absolutely perfect. It was peaceful. A neighbor does have a few dogs that bark but not enough to kill the vibe. We asked a passing neighbor about the blue hole for swimming and he said they didn't like when people swam there so we decided to skip it. Theres plenty of spots cleared to pitch a tent. It rained the whole last day and morning but we just hung out on the cabins porch and took in the surroundings. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful tent camping spot and beautiful land! Bring your bug spray and some long socks. The drive up is moderately rough but personally I enjoy that more than a paved “easy” way in to camp. Ground clearance is key. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re around Chattanooga!

Lovely secluded spot. Definitely wanna get there before dark, road is a bit hairy at night, it's a bed rock/gravel/dirt road and takes some effort to get to the camp.

I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone considering staying here. The road in is rough but any car can make the trip. If you pass someone on the way in, they will probably ask who you know in the neighborhood, but there are very friendly. It was a peaceful stay. Isolate, without any bothersome noises/visitors. For the price, I’d give this place 6/5 stars if I could.

Camping here was great! There was lots of space available to set up a tent. The creek was flowing while we were there, so we got to enjoy that aspect of the land while we were there. There are trails for hiking, & the topography is quite gorgeous. There is a road right next to the campsite, though it’s not super busy.

Great private spot. WARNING: You CAN access this spot with a tow behind IF YOU ARE TALENTED AT BACKING UP. I wouldn't recommend anything over 28 ft, our camper is 28ft (plus our truck, total 48 ft) we had a very difficult time getting in, but worth it for the privacy. Our dogs were able to be free too which is PHENOMENAL. I have not made it to the water yet, but we booked another night to explore. Lovely cabin with tools and supplies for us to use, a sign in, and an awesome covered porch. There's lots of books and other goodies for kids, as well. Please be considerate if you have aggressive dogs as there are other dogs (hunting dogs) that sometimes roam the area (they didn't bother our 6) .

Directions were well described and the campsite was wide open with plenty of activities to do. I would highly recommend having a off Roading vehicle. Driving into the campsite at night with a sedan was not ideal. The personal touches of the games and group area was cool. The evening was full of Nature Sounds which was enjoyable but the neighbors dogs kept barking all night long which was not pleasant.
