45 private acres on our homestead for you to roam. Eight eclectic sites to choose from ranging from primitive camping to a lovely log cabin. All except the log cabin lovingly built by the owner, loaded with creative touches from up-purposed materials. Featuring: * Two gorgeous waterfalls. Each of our stay-sites are located within about 100 yards of Fifty-foot tall Miller’s Falls. * Two large caves at the end of a short, but rugged hike. * A fairy Village filled with Hollow Oak Tree Fairy cottages and bio-luminescent trees that glow after dark. We came to this magical place to found a self-reliant, homesteading eco-community when I retired from corporate life in 2006. It's called the Village on Sewanee Creek, named for the creek 800 feet below the bluff where we are located. I traveled the world as a senior executive for Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and other retail franchises, making the world safe for Pizza, Ice Cream, Pancakes Video Rentals and American convenience. And I was ready for something more fufilling. I scouted for a place of exquisite natural beauty and I found it here. I bought way too much land just before the real estate bust and learned how to turn a nice fortune into a very small one. I faced challenges and had lots of fun. Now I want to share our experience. If you love nature and the outdoors, this is the best place to celebrate it.

Relax in the Beech Treetops on a private covered deck above a cliff, just 20 yards from the top of our magnificent, private 50-foot waterfall. Hike miles of trails through deep canyons, caves, waterfalls, creeks and cascades right here on our property or in any of eight State Parks within 30 minutes.  It’s a nature lover’s paradise. At the end of an exciting day, chill out under the waterfall, then regroup in a hot shower under an up-purposed Satellite Dish roof.  So many creative touches to this unique treehouse! Cook a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen, barbecue on the deck or do s’mores around the private fire pit. Then retire to the upstairs loft in a queen bed.  Heat provided, but you’ll want to leave the windows open for the fresh breeze and lulling sounds of the waterfall. The Beech Treehouse Sleeping Capacity is six adults with one queen sized bed In the loft, one double fold-down futon couch and an extra double mattress that can be placed on the kitchen floor.  For larger groups, call to rent Hamlin, a charming Gypsy wagon Tiny House that sleeps two.  Still more?  Bring your own tents and set up a campground.  Add additional people with additional tents for a modest fee of only $10/person/night. If you are bringing pets, just include them in your reservation as additional guests to cover the pet fee.   Nearby is another campsite centered around a large, well-furnished outdoor kitchen.  That site also includes Yurtle, (a trampoline-based tent with a hard dome roof and incredible acoustics).  But the key feature of this campsite is the kitchen, with yurtle and other amenities as added perq’s.  The Outdoor Kitchen is a must for really large groups like family reunions. All the furnishings are uniquely custom built.  Two porches (front and back).  the back one hangs over the cliff with a view of the falls and cascades below. A custom rocket stove that will handle anything from hot chocolate to pancakes to bacon to steaks or charbroiled burgers is just outside the front porch. Hike below Miller Falls to a second waterfall, called Swallow-Tail Falls, then continue to the bottom of our private canyon where the forest is pristine and untraveled except by you and the cave is yet to be fully explored. Treehouse Campsite
Truly the best weekend we've spent in a long time, if not ever. The sounds of the waterfall, birds, and gorgeous weather were absolute perfection. Grant & Becky were kind and attentive. They have built such a unique place. We loved sleeping outside underneath cozy blankets. Our dog had a BLAST. We are definitely planning on returning.

This place is special. Like I always kind of want to leave a bad review so that nobody else finds out about it, but I couldn't do that because EVERYBODY needs to experience this incredible place. Loved the land it was beautiful and peaceful. Sites are spread out and no one it right beside you. Stayed at camp kitchen and yurtle and we had 2 large tents and we were spread out. The camp kitchen had everything you need with lots of seating. Grant and Becky were awesome hosts. Loved Grants stories.

My wife and I went out there and really enjoyed ourselves. The weather wasn’t great for our trip, but the accommodation was wonderful. I took a full-size crew cab truck and a pop-up camper. It was a little snug trying to get in, probably better for a smaller set up, however it was a great spot. The host was great willing to help with anything.

The Falls at Sewanee Creek is definitely worth the booking! Grant met my wife and I as soon as we got there and gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Grant is a very kind person who takes a lot of pride in this place and wants each camper to have a great experience. The water fall is so beautiful and might be the best part of staying here! You’re able to hike down to see more waterfalls down the gorge, which could be difficult for some due to there not being a marked trail, but it is definitely worth it!

Fairy Woodland Primitive Campsite
We camped on Grant and Becky's land as a family in the Fairy Woodland, and we could not have picked a more beautiful place to spend a weekend. The land is very well maintained and is full of beautiful, native plants and mosses; there's something pretty everywhere you look. The fairy woodland is near a cliff that offers breathtaking sunset views over the mountains. Our kids also had the best time, especially meeting Grant. He took them on a tour of the fairy village when we arrived, and they refer to him as their friend since then. Grant and Becky came to check on us a couple of times during our stay and made us feel welcomed and cared for. They're awesome hosts, and I'd give the spot 5 stars just because of how hard they're working to run this place. The waterfall we visited was incredible. We did some cold plunging and bouldering. The path to bottom of the falls is basically all bouldering, but it's not difficult for anyone that's able to crawl around through some rocks. The main paths are very walkable, and there are several trails nearby for more experienced hikers to enjoy. Caution: there are cliffs <50 feet from where we slept, so keep a close eye on small children if you bring them here. All in all, we loved our time here so much and we will be back as soon as possible. Thank you to Grant and Becky for letting us enjoy their beautiful home.

Glamping at the treehouse was amazing! We loved that the treehouse was so well thought out and we got to enjoy it during a sunny and rainy period which was cool. Sitting out by the porch was a great time and hiking to the waterfall (that you can also hear) was a whole experience! We would love to come back!

I solo car camped in my PriusC to meditate during a Full Moon. I didn't have any issues driving up to the spot, even though my car's clearance is quite low. I drove slowly and was able to avoid any problematic rocks. The sunset was gorgeous and the spot was peaceful once night fell. I lit a fire and watched the moon rise through the trees. I loved waking under a tree-lined sky, to a family of deer passing through. Grant was a wonderful host and is an insightful man, which lead to some great conversations upon my arrival and prior to my departure. I would happily stay again.

WHATS NOT TO LOVE?
Glamper on Miller’s Falls
Grant and his wife were wonderful hosts and offer several amenities that my girlfriend and I both said we’ll be back to enjoy someday. The glamp tent setup is truly breathtaking a great in between roughing it and glamorous camping. Grant took the time to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. For people thinking about this trip, I would say be sure to bring some steaks and charcoal to put on the rocket grill! It’s a really cool piece and cooks a steak to perfection. Other than that, flashlights are a plus as it gets dark early in the winter and there isn’t much lighting outside of the tent. Don’t forget to bring something fun to do around the campfire too since there’s a really cool Rock pit a couple steps outside the tent. S’mores, music, campfire songs, and games. You’ll want to find ways to be outside the tent if you’re like us. Speaking of, there are so many cool things to do outside of the camp! Grant gave us several awesome destinations to visit before we left and we got to each of them! All exceeded our expectations. From food, to sites, to sounds! I’d encourage everyone to explore Tracy city, Monteagle, and even Nashville is only an hour and a half away!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights on grants trampoline tent and it was such a different but beautiful experience, the tent area was very nicely set up, being able to hear the creek while going to sleep or just sitting by the fire was also very relaxing. Only downside was that it was extremely cold, I would highly recommend bringing an air mattress, sleeping bags, and lots of blankets to keep you warm. We went November 28th-30th. Grant and his wife were also out of town but they were still very helpful and sweet, they explained everything we needed to know about the area and gave us some trails to check out. Everything was beautiful and I highly recommend staying.

We only stayed one night at the tent but loved every minute! Grant called before we arrived to give us directions to the site so we would be prepared when we arrived in the dark. Everything was easy to find, just as he said. The trampoline was more comfortable than we expected! Bring extra towels in case of condensation. The area under the trampoline was perfect for food prep and hanging out. Above all, the waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! The short “hike” from the tent to the falls was easy for us and our German Shepherd to navigate. We had a wonderful time- can’t wait to return!

Glamper on Miller’s Falls
Amazing set-up!! Beautiful location and scenery. I stayed in the glamping tent and it was clean, comfortable, and safe. I went by myself with my dog and she loved having all the space to run around outside the tent. We also hiked down to the waterfall and a little further, and I know there were plenty of other trails nearby too. A perfect getaway! Grant and Becky were super helpful and very sweet! 10/10 recommend booking here.

Treetent Campsite
My son and I had a great time in trampoline tent! The property is beautiful and Grant was incredibly helpful. We’re hoping to come back again soon!
