Absolutely beautiful view and extremely friendly and helpful hosts! Difficult to find the spot, even with the directions given, and the hookups were a bit difficult to position for using my standard equipment on my 23’ trailer. The roads are very steep and difficult to haul up.

Such a lovely stay! The view is unbeatable, and the area is very nice and private. John and his wife gave great hiking recommendations, and overall were great hosts! Would recommend this spot to anyone wanting a nice relaxing spot to catch some mountain views while in the Smokies.

Great Place To Stay With a View! We Drive a Tesla and car camp so we where able to charge with the mobile connector and the Nema 14-50 outlet they also had a regular 110 outlet as well! We enjoyed the picnic table and got to meet the host! Super friendly and Woudl definitely stay again we hike Lemon gap to max patch and got to take a cool road through Pisgah national forest from this hip camp!

Nice gravel, level, pull-thru site. Large enough for a big rig but once you get off of I-40 there are some narrow curvy roads to get here that are not so big rig friendly. The view was great, and very quiet.

This was the perfect spot for our first trip with our new camper. The view was beautiful. The site was easy to access and set-up was a breeze since the site was so well kept. Joe was an excellent host. We definitely hope to be back some day.

Views were great and directions were clear! It was easy to get to in our Class C! The electric, water, and sewage was a great option to have! It was nice and quiet and a there was a cute dog that greeted us 😊

I had the opportunity to stay at this Hipcamp location for three nights! The directions to get there were perfect and appreciated! The site is exactly, if not better, than described! The host’s dog is the best! The sunsets were indescribable and the stars were like nothing I’ve ever seen! It is so dark! Thank you for sharing your beautiful land with me! I am hoping to be back!

John's land was a fantastic spot for us to park and stay for the night! The views are incredible, and we loved that there was a hose to fill up our water tank. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching the sun go down. It was easy to get to!

We really enjoyed our stay! The view is wonderful. Great view of the mountains and the night sky. John spent some time with us planning our adventure. His directions were spot on and took us exactly where we wanted to go. I want to visit again soon and again when the damage in NC has been cleaned up. Beautiful place. The only caution I can give is this isn't Pigeon Forge. The roads are a little narrow for our 35' fifth wheel but easily navigable, and the nearest store is 10 minutes away. It's just what we were looking for - peace and quiet with a view!

Sunset Ridge is beautiful - John and Jenni found a wonderful slice of Appalachia to show off some truly beautiful views. Really happy we decided to stay there. Site was easy to find, water/electric were easy to hook up, and John had a lot of great suggestions for things to do and see. Will absolutely stay again.

Amazing place! The views are some of the best I’ve ever seen from a camp site. It was quiet, remote and relaxing. John was a great host, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away

If you want a stay with a view, you will get it. The pros: The spot had power, water, sewage, picnic table, fire ring, and a swing to sit on. The host introduced himself and quickly responded to questions I had. He offered a generator when the power went out. A few cons: The host had a dog that kept coming to the edge of the site to lay down. This is only a problem if you bring your own dog, which I did. The grass was pretty tall. The site is right off of a road. I only saw 3 cars in 3 days, so it's not busy. None of these would be deal breakers but are being communicated as general information.

Nice level, pull through campsite with full hook up,. Would recommend a second sewer hose to reach sewer drain ( depending on where you park) . Open spacious area for larger RV's and an additional vehicle. Secluded area and extremely quiet. Met the host, John and his son, Judah. They were very informative about things to do nearby and the history of the area. Great swing for two, overlooking the most amazing view of the mountain valley. A wonderful get away! Would highly recommend it! We'll be back!

This site had absolutely gorgeous views! The gravel area was perfectly flat for our camper van and the electric and water hook up came in handy. The swing, fire pit, and picnic table made it a great spot to stay for a long weekend and unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

John was super friendly and helpful. The view was spectacular and the electrical and water hookups for our travel trailer were all we needed. The location is great for exploring, tons of trails close by and be sure to return back to camp every night for the sunset.

Amazing and communicative host, and a view that is absolutely to die for… John had everything we needed to connect (electric / water) for an awesome stay overlooking a gorgeous portion of the Smoky Mountains. We were so glad that we chose this camp for this section of our adventure!

We enjoyed our spot at Sunset Ridge. We were easily able to pull our camper in, set up, and head out for all our adventures. We have a toy hauler and brought a motorcycle with us to explore the area. The site provided enough space for us to get in and out as well as the amenities of a swing, picnic table, and fire ring in addition to the water/sewer and electric hookups. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful from the site with the mountains providing an amazing backdrop. John was a great host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and even provided information about what roads to take for a nice motorcycle ride.

We enjoyed camping in our 33' rockwood travel trailer on Johns property, Fri-Mon. Google directions took us straight to the site, from I-40, without a problem. We also had printed directions for backup. Site has full hook ups and a sanitary dump. 50A/30A/20A was available. delicious pure water was provided, from a deep well on the site. Exellent cell phone service. we have verizon phones and an ATT hotspot and was able to tune into LSU baseball all weekend. John also provides a strong WiFi, which we didnt use. The site has great views of the mountains near and far. In particular, we enjoyed the quiet and privacy and wildlife. (saw lots of birds and a turkey walked right through our camp). One nite it rained really hard, but apparently, the site, has pretty good drainage, even though the grass was sparse in some areas. John was available to us and extremely helpful. We are planning to return.

The view of the mountains from this spot is amazing ! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It is quiet and private and the porch swing was the perfect place to watch the sun set.

Our family spent unforgettable days here🫶! John was very kind to us! The nature and landscape here are incredible, and we have never seen such a beautiful sunset like here before 🥰. It also has everything you need to stop here with an RV trailer! We are very happy and will definitely stay here again)

Spectacular views. Great communication with John. Need a long sewer hose with campers, but not a deal breaker. Road leading to campsite narrow and windy but local folks were very respectful as we drove in and out with camper behind us. Definitely will come back, very quiet and awesome place to see the stars.

We loved the site provided by John and his family. It’s above his cabin property, so it does feel secluded, and it has the most amazing view! You won’t believe the sunset! The added swing was such a bonus! It’s full hook up, quite level and has decent WiFi (2-3 bars Verizon). The trip there had some tight curves but no trouble for our set up and the ascent to the site is steep but was no issue. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!!!
