Holiday Weekend Disaster: last minute booking, 4 spaces shown available on this platform - so I booked! I wake up the next morning to the site manager saying that he thought he had turned off Hipcamp and that they were overbooked, but that he had a spot for me without hookups but would run an extension cord. I immediately messaged him back, and never got a response. So 12 hrs later we show up, after 2 hours on the road, go to check in and get guidance and the staff argued with me that I did Not have a reservation. So I pulled up my confirmation and the single message from the manager. They make a phone call and ask me to wait while I manager drives there from the next town over. He finally gets there, shows me a couple of options, and gets it settled in for the night and the one I pick. Next day all of our stuff is still at our campsite, and we go to the state park to go explore and have fun. We get back that evening, and the campers that had checked in next to us blocked us from accessing our camp and stole our fire ring, and claimed that they were told we had left a fight almost broke out! And management did nothing to resolve the situation except offer a refund, which I am still waiting on. And judging by the incompetency, I will probably never get. I will never return. Only positive: the float was amazing! Do not camp here on a holiday.
