Learn more about this land: We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp).  This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat.  This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville.  We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important.  It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling.  The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max   However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig.  In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. Nice RV space near Nashville and the river/lakes. Mostly oriented towards long term stay but host was very pleasant.

Rough Site - Peaceful Farm Setting

There is no doubt that this is a pretty spot, 30 minutes from Nashville, and certainly the reason the listing caught our eye. Upon arriving, it was still light and we quickly realized that we were going to have some issues. We are full-timers and are very experienced with getting our 32’ fifth wheel in and out of all sorts of places. We normally, even with challenges, can be backed in, jacks down, leveled and hooked up within about 15 minutes. That was not the case in this spot. We were an hour, at least. Spot 1, on the narrow one lane approach, requires that you back uphill. There is nowhere to maneuver, as there is a 6-7+” earthen bank on the edge of the road, on the road side of our trailer, and thick brush/trees on the door side. There is no backing up over a sharp bank like that without tearing up the rear jacks. We knew we needed to approach from the other direction, if we had any hope of getting in there. We texted Megan to ask about where we might turn around and she said there wasn’t anywhere on the road or their driveway, but that if we were comfortable, we could drive through a grassy area just up ahead. We went for this, and were able to get turned around even though the ground was soft. Coming from the other direction, we were able to get up there, despite the trees that were planted on each side of the entrance, that we had to back around, and the tight, narrow road. And, even though the listing says it’s uneven, it was beyond. Our front jacks were extended to their max, even with the addition of our spacing blocks. We also had to use our leveling ramps, to get the side to side leveled, and realized that the enormous “gravel” that is in the site (jagged large rocks) caused our ( practically new $40) ramps to crack and collapse. We shored up the front of our trailer with cement blocks (provided) and applied our x-chocks, because we were afraid of what might happen if there was a shift on this hill. We plugged in, and our onboard electronic management system (surge protection/bad power avoidance) alarm started going off. It was one thing after another. We disconnected power and decided to look at it again in the morning. We couldn’t get power to work properly from the post, as our EMS was giving us an error message that the power source was not properly grounded. We would advise making sure you at least have a surge protector to protect your electrical systems. Our EMS system, over the last couple of years, has never let us down. This was one of the very few times it had to do it’s job. The power source is very likely in need of attention. Another issue is that the dump site is situated uphill. Gravity just doesn’t work that way and makes connecting hoses and dumping the tanks, a wholly more challenging and potentially unpleasant experience. We really felt like it probably wouldn’t have taken much more effort to properly grade the site, make the approach more conducive to backing in, and make sure the utilities are up to snuff and logically located. The whole setup didn’t feel very well thought out and created a lot of work for us. Hindsight, I would go ahead and stay somewhere else in the area.

Wonderful place to stay

We loved staying here! It was quiet and tucked away, which is a welcome change from crowded RV parks. Jason came and checked on us when we first arrived and was very nice and welcoming. He even let us pick fresh blueberries from some blueberry bushes near our trailer! Would absolutely return if we’re in the area again.

It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of space to walk our dogs. Lots of butterflies, rabbits and cardinals to see. It was a bit tight to back our TT in (into first site). My husband is very experienced backing in & had some difficulty as there a fence and lots of trees/branches. The second site is certainly much better as it is fully shaded. Overall, no other issues.

Jason was a friendly and accommodating host. The site was spacious and the grounds were beautiful. He even provided complimentary firewood! If you’re in the area definitely stay with Jason.

Jason was a great host extremely helpful offered to help me set up when i arrived. I was in town for work didnt get to explore the property or area but it look amazing and the sunsets were awesome

Jason is very friendly checking in with us to be sure we were okay. Full hook-ups with lots of shade. Quiet location with easy drive to local places of interest. I would caution that the drive way is bumpy and the entry to the property is a little tight to get a big rig in and out. We would go back again!

Top notch hospitality. Upon arrival, Jason greeted us with fresh farm eggs. His wife and daughter were very nice, too. Communication was fast. Even when we were in a bind and needed to stay a couple extra days, he went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to stay. Site was great. Water pressure was strong. Great location to either go into Lebanon, Mt. Julliet, or Nashville. When we're back in the area, we won't hesitate to book again (if the space is available). Highly recommend.

Great space, so peacefull. We felt really looked after with plenty firewood and some nice fresh eggs. Our 2 boys loved playing with the host's daughter who was very polite and friendly.

Staying on the Smith fa has been great. There is plenty of room to walk and the dogs really enjoyed the field to play in. Lots of things to see like chickens, donkeys, cows and nature. I would enjoy even more coming back when it is warmer. But they kept us stocked up on firewood and that was nice. Thanks Jason, Megan and Malory for sharing you home.

We had a great stay here - the Smith Family is awesome! We really enjoyed talking with Jason and his family, and the farm is beautiful. There are two gravel RV sites (you will need to do some leveling) with full hook-ups with a few trees and a fire pit separating the sites. It is a quick 20-30 minute drive to all the action in Nashville.
