Site has two 50 amp hookups, high speed fiber internet, a septic system for sewer connection, and on site well water. There is a fire pit, outdoor lights, and patio table and chairs on site. This site is convenient to the city of Chattanooga, Cleveland, and also outdoor activities associated with the Hiawasee River, Ocoee River, and Cherokee National Forest. There is room and hookups for two RV's at this location however I will only allow two RV's if they are from the same party. Please contact me for details and special pricing if this is needed. Learn more about this land: I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.Park your RV on your own private site with 25 acres with wildlife and beautiful sun rises and sunsets. This was my 2nd time staying at Shackalakin Whats Crackin. It's one of my favorite Hipcamp spots in TN. Can't say enough positive things about this place. Where else do you have 20+ acres all to yourself? It's such a wonderful space to camp with my dog. And everything is very accommodating. Full hookups and very fast WiFi. Plus it's in a great location for outdoor activities.

My boyfriend and I loved camping at this site. I was initially concerned about the site being right next to a road, but it didn't end up bothering us at all and the environment was still very peaceful. It was lots of fun to walk around the land too. The string lights and large bonfire space made the ambiance perfect for a relaxing getaway from busy college life. The land on the campsite was nice and flat which made it very easy to set up the tent and made it more comfortable to sleep in. Be prepared for a relaxing wake-up from all the local birds and a nearby rooster. Easy gravel parking spot only a few yards away from the gate entrance near the road. The owners came to check in on us one morning and gave us a very cute sticker to remember the place by! Thank you :)

This was the best spot I have camped at in years. Wide open fields full of deer and turkeys while all alone on far enough away from other people yet close enough to go into a small town for any missing or needed supplies. The area was well kept, had a string light setup, a nice fire pit, and lots of scenery. 10/10 visit, would and will definitely return in the future. Also of note was the host answers calls even as late as 9-10pm and is pleasantly cordial.

Site was as described. A beautiful rolling hillside of freshly mown (when we were there)hay. Convenient to Cleveland. I would definitely stay again. Mark was always prompt, kind and informative in his communication. Just 20 minutes to the edge of the Cherokee National Forest, and the gateway to Ocoee River adventures and lake fishing. Outdoor joy for everyone!

This really is a beautiful property, it is private and as pictured. However, the stink bugs were out of control! I'm sure this is out of the owners control as it is country side with a tall field. We had difficulty keeping them out of the camper and once home, we have killed a hundred or more. So gross. The host was very nice and explained that they had just been out of town themselves. The fire pit is HUGE...more bonfire type, so it made it difficult to cook on. The site is in FULL sun, so we backed up under the trees off the gravel. We could still access elec and water. We had to pull forward when leaving to dump. It's was peaceful but the stink bugs was really just to much. One probably would not have this issue in full summer.

Quiet and private, with plenty of space to explore and unwind. The internet was fast, which made it easy to relax and still stay connected. A great mix of peaceful and convenient, I’d definitely come back.

Was a great and very quiet retreat. Nothing but open fields, the night sky, and those you bring with you. Really enjoyed being so close to town but feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere. Easy set up and easy breakdown. We will definitely be returning!!

Good level gravel spot to park my truck with TC. Water, power, internet all worked. Great spot for privacy, nice spot for a family or group. Large fire pit with string lights in trees for effect. Turkeys next to camp each morning, nice field and tree line for walking. About an hour from Lookout Mtn. Mark's comms were prompt and the process was easy. Ill be back.

We was not sure how long we needed to stay and was very helpful with working with us. We was able to put both campers and will be returning in Dec. Our kids sure are going to miss all the fun they have had.

This was our second time at Shackalakin What's Crakin RV Park and we loved every minute of it. We stayed with our RV for over a week. The dogs loved having all that space to play, explore, and sniff. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets, while having this big property to ourselves. We saw multiple deer and some turkeys during our stay. We plan on coming back next year!

This is a great spot! Easy to get to, wide open space, hook-ups, a fire pit, and a personalized welcome flag! How can you beat it? I wish we had more time to stay longer.

Absolute must camp spot for anyone with children or animals or both! He allows dogs to be off leash and boy do my dogs love roaming the land and being able to run! Between the sunrise/sunset views and the wide open space, Mark's land is breathtaking! He is very prompt with responding to any questions or if we had any issues. We already have more dates booked! 10/10 I definitely recommend!

we have been traveling and working full time with 2 kids (and a new pup) for 3 years. mark’s property is exactly what we needed to get everyone out to be as loud and wild as they want. good location to the cities but it’s so quiet out here you think you’re all by yourself. mark was communicative and made sure that we were settled and didn’t have any issues. we extended our stay and we’re already planning our summer trip. would recommend for families or anyone that needs a good unplug.

Great camping spot. We tent camped and had plenty of room for our tents. It was close to the road but not so close that cars were too loud or anything and convenient for getting to a nearby town. It had some string lights and a nice big firepit to use.

Our favorite spot by far using Hipcamp! Close to the road but very private and peaceful! We seen deer the at night and in the mornings while we were there. Our dogs greatly appreciated the extra space to roam! We are hoping to make this spot a repeat!

If you’re looking for a quiet all-to-yourself campsite in the country, look no further. This has everything from full hookups to high speed internet to beautiful wildlife and sunrises. Plenty of room for our kids to safely run and play. The huge open field made for great morning/evening walks. The outside lights were a perfect ambiance to the evenings too. But our favorite was the flag with our name on it. Never have I been to a Hipcamp that gave you a personalized flag!! We had a wonderful time here, it was more than we hoped for. Thankyou Mark for everything!!! Your gift of sharing your place will bless a lot of folks ;-)

Our stay at Mark's Shackalackin What's Crackin RV Resort was pure bliss. The ample space for our dogs to run and play along with the full hookups provided a seamless experience, and the peaceful surroundings made it an ideal retreat. Mark's hospitality and the laid-back atmosphere create the perfect recipe for a relaxing RV getaway. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility and a hassle-free stay. We loved every minute we stayed at this amazing campsite! We had it booked for four nights and extended it for an extra night because we loved it. If you're looking for a private campsite with lots of space, this is the perfect spot. Our two dogs loved having all the space to run and play. We saw deer almost every day. Mark was a great host, the internet was fast and the custom flag was such a nice touch. The location was perfect, close to plenty of restaurants, outdoor activities and scenic drives. We're already planning our next stay at Shackalakin What's Crackin!

Camping the way it should be!

This campground is a hidden gem! If you have dogs and want to find a place to getaway we highly recommend this spot. We spent 3 nights here and wanted to stay longer but had to head home. The property has plenty of space to roam and is totally private. Our city dogs loved being able to run in the field and had plenty of scents and land to be free. We even saw a family of deer come through one evening. Kudos to the fast internet, massive fire pit with lighting and adorable custom flag. Thanks to Mark for always being responsive when any questions popped up. We are recharged and look forward to coming back again.

25 acres and no one but us! Very peaceful. The fire pit was outstanding. While walking property we saw white tail deer grazing. Beautiful site! Loved the custom flag of welcome. Felt secure inside the property. Will return again!

We camped there with a 24 foot travel trailer. The site had full hook ups and was level. There was a huge fire pit with lights strung around the area. The land was beautiful and surrounded by woods. We felt secure with the key pad security gate. Mark texted us one morning to tell us his trail cam had picked up some wild turkeys. We stayed a week and fully enjoyed it, our dogs did also.
