This campsite was a wonderful choice! I was looking for a quiet secluded spot to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and it met my expectations! I wanted to view the cluster of beautiful waterfalls and state parks in this area, and found that there were so many only 20-40 minutes from my site! After a day at the park or falls, I’d come home to a quiet forest with deer and other wildlife roaming about! My mornings were wonderful as I got ready for the day, no loud traffic, or aircraft bothered me from enjoying the buzz of the bees and rustle of the leaves. There was a natural abundance of wood to burn that made my nights warm and pleasant as I stared up at the stars through the treetops.
If you’re looking for a cost friendly, secluded site close to Fall Creek Falls, Rock Island State Park, or Cumberland Caverns, I’d recommend camping on Shana’s property!
(extra notes for a picky camper: The land is naturally a bit unlevel excluding a few locations close to the gravel parking pads making hiking and exploring the ridge on the property fun and not boring. A main road for residential housing is nearby, however hardly any vehicles were seen coming and going, and the treeline kept the visibility low. The driveway was a short distance to the parking area, & a bit rough due to rain creating dips in the gravel, but navigating with 2WD was still manageable as I left each day for my outings. I would recommend 4WD if you aren’t experienced off roading in your vehicle to prevent any mishaps)
