Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek. There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area. Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Campsite 8 is located along the tree line that borders Burnett Creek. It is a grassy campsite that is mostly flat. This is a smaller site than some of our others. A camper can fit, but other sites may suit your needs better for a camper. There is a metal fire ring and a picnic table at this site.

It is located closer to the main road than some of the other sites but gets more privacy from the rest of the camp guests since it is on the far left end of the property. Many trees are suitable for hammock camping in the sites along the river. This site has a metal fire ring and a picnic table.

Group site 10 is our best site with a nice, shaded area surrounded on three sides with Burnett Creek. It is private to the rest of the property. There is a metal fire pit and a picnic table at this site. Many trees are suitable for hammock camping in this area, and it can accommodate several ground tents. This group site can accommodate 6 people. If you would like to add more to your group, we recommend also reserving another campsite - site numbers 8, 9, 11 , and 12 are close - with 11 being the preferred closest addition. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site.

Campsite 11 is a nice grassy, shaded area that is bordered by Burnett Creek and private to the rest of the property. A metal fire pit and picnic table are at the site. Several trees are suitable for hammock camping in this area, and it can accommodate ground tents. To access, drive through the gate, take a hard right then continue over the culvert and continue past sites 8 and 9 on the left. Go over a little hill and then straight to follow the sign for site 11. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site. This site can accommodate 2 people. If you would like to add more to your group, we recommend also reserving another campsite - site numbers 8, 9, 10 (group site), and 12 are close - with 10 being the preferred addition.

Campsite 12 is a nice grassy area that is located on a small hill in the meadow and more private to the rest of the property. It does get a little closer to the main road, but evergreen shrubs are being planted to help grow more privacy. This site has a metal fire pit and a picnic table. This site can accommodate ground tents and is not suitable for hammock camping. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site. This site can accommodate 2 people. What a lovely stay! When we arrived we realized site #11 we had booked might be a little challenging with our camper as it had just rained. The camp hosts graciously allowed us to move to site #10. It was a little bigger and better to back our camper in. It was a GREAT site and right by a perfect swimming hole. Our dogs LOVED swimming and were perfectly content on their long leads at the camp site. We loved sitting outside listening to the water run over the shoals.

Muddy road, no running water. Site was conveniently located. Tho having to lock and unlock the gate was time-consuming and didn’t exactly make me feel secure anyway

I would strongly recommend site #10 if you are in the area. It is surrounded by trees, on a babbling creek, and is secluded from the other sites. Quiet and pleasant.

It is a beautiful place to camp and the creek is nice and private. However, there is only one outhouse for all the campers and it’s quite a walk to get there. My suggestion is to have more porta potties.

It is a very lovely place. If you need time spent with yourself or your family, this is the place. The creek provides cool refreshing water to set in and relax. Aaron is very helpful, and understanding of campers needs. I would highly recommend....

Low meadow farms was a great place to put my van. Site 11 was right next to the creek and secluded for me and my dogs. Water, bathroom and firewood are a short walk. Kat and her husband are very kind people. Will go back again.

We loved our stay at Low Meadow! We live in Knoxville and have 2 young kids and it was the perfect local getaway. Our campsite was perfect right by the creek for the kids to wade in, the farm was beautiful, very well maintained, quiet, and everyone staying there was friendly. They also have everything there you need for basic car camping and super close to town if you need anything. Highly recommend. We will be back!!

Such a pleasant surprise in the middle of the Knoxville maelstrom a welcome port in the storm. The creek reminds me of a spot near Girdwood,Alaska. Kat and Aaron are just as friendly as Ive always heard folks from the South are.

Clear instructions, responsive and cheerful communication, quiet, beautiful, and best of all is the location. It feels like being way out in the country while actually being very close to Knoxville. Hope I get to come back to learn more about the food forest.

Very quiet, safe. It only has one porta potty for the whole campground. It is a wonderful place, you can hear turkeys in the mornings. It's really a lovely, quiet spot.

We had a lovely time tent camping at Low Meadows! Site #11 is very private and with a long back-in, bordered by the trickling creek along the entire length on one side and the large berm up to the hilltop (Site #12) on the other. Recent rain left the ground soft, but not muddy at the site itself, scatted straw helped, it is just fairly well shaded. The food forest was a neat bug-finding adventure for our little one and Kat even showed us some crayfish that hang out in the creek. Loads of honeysuckle and butterflies!

Convenient and quiet location near Knoxville! Cute farm, clean porta-potty and lovely creek running through. Kat and husband were responsive and campground is well maintained. Covered pavilion with picnic tables for rainy days a plus.

Very nice campground. Secluded, but still close to things. Sites are right next to a nice creek that you can hear at night. Great spot if you're in town for mountain biking. You can easily get to the trails on your bike straight from the campground. Will be my go to for future MTB trips to Knoxville

Yes, I would recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, peace filled experience. The sites were spacious and had the perfect amount of Space between them. The sounds of the creek flowing just behind my site was so relaxing. The biggest thing; however, was the presence of the porta-potty. This was absolutely the cleanest, most well maintained portable toilet I have ever seen. Tidy! Smelled fresh, stocked with tissue and hand sanitizer. I am so impressed, Will most certainly reserve and use this campsite again

The location is excellent and the general amenities and communication were great. However much of the landscape had not been mowed- we moved campsites due to mud and found the open alternatives had knee high grass and well developed poison ivy between the creek and site. Not sure if maintenance has been lax but that was disappointing for the cost of the site. I'd come back if that was corrected because the location, size of the campground and politeness of the other campers made for a peaceful sleep.
