Enjoy glamping in our optional 2017 19' retro style camper with a bathroom and kitchen or go primitive and set up your tent or hammock by the waterfalls and rough it. 2 sites have electricity. No bathrooms or showers if you're Just 35 minutes west of Loveless Cafe' in Nashville and 20 minutes south of the Dickson exit at I40. The 48 acre campground has just 3 big tent sites for more seclusion and is almost all old forest with wide trails and huge old growth trees. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. The rest is woods. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well. FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. Please let us know ahead of time or order it on the site. SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. Sometimes the walking stones get washed out. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. SITE 2: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 fairly flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit. SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! Some photos are of nearby attractions. You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture when you expand them. VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle or ground clearance, that is okay, park in the field and bring your water shoes for campsite 2. There are stairs and usually stepping stones to cross over to Site 1. Stepping stones for site 2 are coming soon. LOCAL ACTIVITIES: 4 WHEELING!!! FISHERS OFF ROAD RENTALS https://www.fishersoffroadrentals.com/ TOUR THE AREA IN A CAN-AM: Check out 'Fisher's Off Road' to rent a really nice 4 seater CAN-AM machine. Drive around the local dirt roads for miles and learn the history of Moon Shine Alley, drive through many creeks and see some beautiful views. We took to tour with Fisher and it was a blast. This company supports the locals and cleans up the trash on the sides of the roads; a great service to the area. FISHING: https://www.fishingworks.com/tennessee/maury-tn/lake/hooker-chemical-pond-d/ 30 minutes away are 3 small lakes, or very large ponds. I think it costs $5.00. They have small boats for rent as well. FISHING, KAYAKING AND CANOEING: PINEY RIVER Canoe rental: https://www.pinewoodcanoecamp.com/ Great fishing, floating and they have camping as well. With front or 4 wheel drive a good ground clearance you can drive directly into the site or park in the field and walk down the large stone stairs and across the creek. Sometimes there are stones across the creek, but storms wash them away so bring rubber boots! There is a large stone fire pit with a heavy fold down grate for cooking surrounded by Adirondack chairs next to the creek with the spring beside it. Granite tops, a small fridge and freezer are available when it's warmer weather, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs are in the outdoor kitchen area next to the creek as well. An off road 4x4 will get you all the way through the property.  Low ground clearance will bottom out and could damage your vehicle but many cars drive through just fine but scrape the bottom sometimes.  A 19' camper can also be parked in the field and plugged in for A.C. power. On a hot summer day park your chairs in the creek. The cold water is a great place to relax and cool off.  Kids and adults love catching all kinds of things in the creek. No bathroom or city water, just electricity unless you choose the option to rent the 19' camper with a bathroom, indoor/outdoor showers and a kitchen. 2 bunk bends and a kitchen table fold down to queen size bed. For more privacy where you can stay up late and make a little noise, this site has a flowing 4' spring/creek that runs along the majority of the site with a few very small waterfalls. It's located in the 2nd valley in the middle of the property. The old Moonshine Stills are still there. There's a granite top for a prep table, small charcoal grill, a small wrought iron table and 4 chairs, fire ring with grate and one adirondack chair. There is no electricity but a few solar string lights.

2 Flat fairly flat areas to set up a tent. Large fire ring with 4 wrought iron chairs, a small charcoal grill and a picnic table. 120V plug and overhead string lights. The site overlooks the creek and has a spring that runs between Site 1 and Site 2. Hiking trails and a star gazing spot are great to explore. Park additional vehicles in the field. The 19', 2017 camper is made to look like it from the 50's. A/C and heat. Fridge, microwave, outdoor grill, kitchen sink, toilet, bathroom sink, shower, two bunk bed's and the kitchen table drops down to a queen bed. There's a Kurig coffee maker or Mr. Coffee upon request. Paper plates, silverware, coffee mugs, paper towels, toilet paper are supplied. Clean sheets, pillows and blankets for the queen bed can be supplied upon request. PLEASE call or text me at 615-three nine seven - zero - sixfourthree with questions. WOODS OR CREEKSIDE: If site one isn't booked we can block that site off for the camper rental at no extra charge. There's a 30' spring fed creek runs in front of the camper. Site 1 is across the creek and also has sites for tent's and one of the springs runs along side of Site 1 with small cascading water falls. WE CAN PARK THE CAMPER AT ANOTHER SITE BUT WOULD HAVE TO BE RUN WITH OUR GENERATOR. The battery will give you lights, hot and cold water and the propane will keep the fridge cold. The A.C. requires the generator and power to recharge the battery. Video's coming soon on our website. YOU CAN HAVE MORE THAN 4 UPON REQUEST.

The camping sites were beautiful and extremely remote. Don't forget your 4 wheel drive, or you will have a hike, but we love the area, the land itself and the owners are wonderful! Being your 4 legged for babies and have a great time!

We had a great time! We stayed at Campsite 1 and 2 because we had 8 people and 2 dogs. We hiked the trails, played in the water, and sat by the fire. Jimmy was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely go back and camp there again.

Favorite HipCamp by far! The area is gorgeous and Jimmy is a great host. Directions were clear and easy to follow! This site is large enough for tents and hammocks, the amenities were so nice, and sleeping by the creek was the thing I needed at the end of a long week. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great time! Jimmy & Emily are fantastic hosts, they were very communicative and wonderful to meet in person - they even met us and drove us to the site with our gear! Very beautiful property, a stream running throughout and many trails to explore, the site was even decorated and had chairs to lounge by the water! Tons of areas to choose your site to camp amongst the multitudes of ferns! It's truly an amazing experience, we will be back and truly appreciate the hosts for being accommodating throughout our stay!

We camped at Still Hollow for a night. Such a beautiful spot for a campsite, tucked back in the woods and along a creek. Very peaceful. There are some trails to walk around the property as well. Jimmy was very friendly and came to check to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

Seriously can’t recommend this place enough! During our stay my car broke down and the host did not hesitate to bring his tractor to pull me across the creek on the campsite to get my car out! He also gave us a tour on his side by side showing us several different trails and cool places to explore on the property. He helped us gather firewood and gave us advice on where to find it. Super nice place and even nicer host.

My wife and I booked our camping trip before knowing that it would be a rainy weekend. We nearly didn’t stay, but decided to give it a try since it was so close to home. Choosing to stick with the trip was the best decision we made as we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the land is and how fun our stay was, even with the rain. Jimmy (our host) was incredibly kind and accommodating. Before our arrival, he made sure to provide detailed instructions on how to reach the site so as to eliminate confusion due to the lack of service in the area. He even brought us dry wood and kindling, extending a level of hospitality and care that made us feel a part of his family, like we were right at home. Our campground was spotless, nestled next to a gentle flowing creek that made for relaxation and great sleep. Needless to say, the rain was an added bonus to our white noise at night. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, and enjoyable getaway, we cannot recommend this place more. From relaxing by a fire, hiking through the various trails throughout the hillside, to wading through the creeks, this is an experience you’ll never forget. Please support Jimmy and his beautiful campgrounds. It will be one of the best places you’ve chosen to stay. And remember, don’t let a little rain deter you because it will only add an extra element of enjoyment to your trip. With all that being said, Lionsgate Campground is more than worth the visit.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Lionsgate campground in Lyles, Tennessee. It’s about an hour from Nashville. You have to drive through a creek to get to the campsite, and as you exit, there is a big rock that is the size and shape of a curb, so make sure you go slower than I did. The location is directly on the banks of a large creek, with a lot of wildflowers and small, beautiful waterfalls. The site has marble countertops and big fire pit. I purchased the firewood bundle and received an ample supply of. It is a very pretty spot, however, it is next to a dirt road, and a lot of people seem to spend the Saturday just driving along the dirt road. Cars, trucks, and quite a few ATVs, so it was noisy. There was also an annoying dog who barked constantly from about 4 PM until about midnight. The dog was nearby and just didn’t stop. It was impossible to sleep through and there was no escaping the noise through a tent. Neither of these issues is the site host’s fault, but I’m just bringing awareness to future guests. After the dog finally was quiet, I did hear a lot of owls, frogs, crickets. And I believe I had a deer come by my tent. Overall, a beautiful spot and I would recommend it, perfect for hammocks and tents.

My boyfriend, our two pups and I LOVED our stay here! Jimmy and Emily were the most hospitable and kind hosts we've met and their land is truly a special place! Peaceful, serene and full of interesting plants and history. The trails they've made are wide and well maintained and we really enjoyed getting to explore the property. We will absolutely be back for the next much needed escape from the city!

What a magical experience!! My daughter and I camped 2 nights at campsite 1 and couldn't have asked for more. Jimmy and his wife are amazing!! Couldn't be more nice and thoughtful! He kept us stocked with firewood and made sure we had everything we needed! It's just simply beautiful here. Wasn't ready to leave but planning on returning ASAP. What an experience!

This was our second time camping on Jimmy’s land, and our expectations were again exceeded! Still Hollow is quiet, private, and spacious. The creek that runs through is so serene, and on a clear night the stars are incredible. We stayed 3 nights and never ran out of trails or country roads to explore. Jimmy is beyond accommodating, generous, and helpful. He goes out of his way to create a memorable experience for his guests. We are already planning our return!

We had the place to ourselves, and had one wonderful night at Site 1. Jimmy was wonderful, communicative and so welcoming. He gave us a tour of his entire property! Loved best: the sound of the creek on two sides of our tent. The string of lights, the mini fridge, and the giant firepit w extra (cedar) firewood. We’re already planning our next visit!

Jimmy was the most hospitable hosts ever had (and I mean including hotels, Airbnb, Hipcamp, etc) and made the utmost effort to make my friend and I feel welcome. He personally showed us around his property as well as where the best star gazing spot was, and was even kind enough to offer us a ride into town when we were unable to do so. This is my new staple campsite when I need a night away from Memphis. Whether it’s with friends, family, or yourself, this campsite has exactly what you need in a getaway.

It's a gorgeous location - super relaxing, lots of fun things to do. Jimmy is also probably the best host we've ever had. He is so thoughtful and strikes the perfect balance of being helpful while still giving plenty of space to guests. If you're thinking of staying here DO IT - you will be impressed and likely become a return visitor, I know we will be!

I took a day to go explore and look at the property as accomodated by Jimmy himself. Let me tell you, when I got there the land was very last and pretty, everything from creeks, to mini-waterfalls, to a shooting range, to your campsite. My group and I had a very wonderful time staying here. Jimmy's accommodations reach the above and beyond, honestly the best camp host I have ever had. He came by and supplied us with firewood for free during the heavy rain we camped through twice, he took us on a atv to go get phone signal across the land as well. He even took his truck through a strong moving creek after a rainstorm just to supply us with toilet paper. I highly, and I mean highly recommend staying here, his accomadations and the beautiful scenery around the campsite make it such a good and chill environment for a get away. Can't forget about the rope swing and a regular swing as well!

We had a wonderful stay at Lionsgate site 1. Jimmy was above and beyond helpful and friendly. We were able to park our van in the parking area by the site and enjoyed sitting by the creek with a fire and hiking the property. Highly recommended!

The whole trip was a great success! Everything was exactly as it should have been and expectations were met. The directions to the camp site (provided by Jimmy) were accurate and it was fairly easy to find. Jimmy is an exemplary host. Professional, friendly, and overall pleasant to work with. I originally booked campsite 1, but was given the option to stay at other sites upon arrival. I ended up staying at campsite 2 in the still hollow area (on the same property). The campsite was both beautiful and spotless clean, free of trash and well kept. It was a 5 star adventure that I’d recommend to any camper.

This property was perfect...running water flowing through a creek on the campsite, hills to hike, and because no one else was on the property Jimmy allowed us to shoot our guns. The communication was great too. We will definitely be back! Thanks, Jimmy!

We had a great time camping at Lions Gate! Jimmy and Emily were truly such generous and helpful hosts to us, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The 4-wheeler tour was my favorite part; we learned a lot about the area and shared conversation and laughter. My little dog loved exploring all of the new smells. If you're looking for a mix of back country camping with comfortable amenities, I couldn't recommend this site more. I am already planning our next tent camping trip back. Thank you so much for everything, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Jimmy was great, he made sure we had a good 2 nights at this site. The land was also amazing, we were able to enjoy some hiking trails, a very quiet site, and the small creek running though the site. The site itself had a smoker/grill, fire ring, and some other features.
