This site was great for a quick overnight tent camp while traveling on I40! Nice, clean showers and friendly hosts. A bench or two by the fire rings would go a long way, is my only suggestion!

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The bathrooms and showers were clean and kept tidy. The place is quiet. The host is very nice. There is not much off the exit so make sure to grab food or supplies an exit before arriving. We explored an art wall park nearby. Would totally stay here again.

My dog loved it!

I slept well in the camping cabin as it was clean and comfortable. Sonya showed me to my site and answered my questions easily. This campground is tucked away from the freeway so it is much quieter than one would expect! Bathrooms were clean, my only recommendation would be a hook on both the bathroom and shower stall doors for clothing and/or shower necessities. My dog loved all the trees and areas to sniff and explore as well. Wonderful experience overall and I would definitely stay again.

Not welcoming or good for camping

The campgrounds were close together and in largely open view of each other, the rv’s and the owner’s house. There were no parking spots so you have to park on the narrow sides of the rocky path. It was difficult to unload so close to the trees and I was worried I’d pop a tire on the terrain. The ground was too hard to stake our tent down. The fire pit was right next to a tree. There was only one pit shared between two sites. That other site was only accessible through ours. We ended up setting up then taking down for a nearby hotel. The instructions said to call 20 minutes before arrival. I couldn’t find a phone number on Hipcamp but there was one on google so we called that to no answer so I sent a message on Hipcamp. The owner David messaged back with the number and we confirmed it was the one we called. We arrived and called again and the woman who answered sounded very upset that we didn’t call prior to which we explained that we had. We waited about 10-15 minutes for her to come show us to our site. The woman arrived with a maga hat and leaned into our car window with a heavy breath of cigarettes. She seemed apologetic about the phone mix up but at the end of the day we didn’t feel very welcomed or comfortable.

Perfection

The staff at this location was top notch!! They insisted that I call them if I have any issues. I did not. As a women traveling alone, the thing I treasure the most about this place besides: how beautiful it is, how clean the facility is, how quiet my stay was; was the level of safety I experienced. I didn’t have to worry about anyone or anything bothering me. It’s a cozy area, with families and solo travelers too. I could come and go as often as I pleased, and the staff was very accommodating and hospitable. Thank you so much for allowing me to stay with y’all!

Me and my fiancé tent camped for trail jam and we have no complaints. Even though it was hot it wasn’t bad where the tents are cause of all the shade. The bathrooms were some of the best bathrooms I’ve went into at a camp site. I also felt like we was the only one using them if y’all are like me and don’t like being around a lot of people in the bathroom you don’t know. lol The owners also did a great job making sure the place stays safe and your stuff is safe. They went around multiple times during the day. We even left all our valuables in the tent while we stayed all day at trail jam.

Great little park that was very convenient to I-40. The host was kind and made us feel very welcome. Restrooms and showers were clean and the water was hot. We tent camped but most people here are in RVs or possibly in the cute camping cabins they have. The tent site was great for us but if your tent is large you might want to make sure they can accommodate you. Pads seem to be sized for about a 4-person tent. We would stay again of we had a need for a place in the area.

Lil’cabin

Great location- right off I40, yet tucked away enough you’ll never hear traffic.. Sonya was awesome, she was so hospitable and wanted to make sure I had everything needed. Can’t say enough. Thank you. Cabin had just what I needed for a few nights of good rest- very clean cabin & facilities etc… I would recommend to friends! (…and the bed was super comfortable!!)

Precious little cabins!

My husband and I stayed there for our 5th wedding anniversary and it was delightful! Everything was clean and fresh. I felt safe there and the staff were truly helpful and so friendly. Also the cabins are so cute and simple! Definitely will go back!

I originally reserved a tent site but due to the rain it was a little muddy. I was uncomfortable with driving my large touring motorcycle through the mud so I asked if a I could park and walk to the site. Luckily their was a rv site that was not in use and I was kindly offered that for the night. Thank you! Restrooms and showers were clean. This place was also easy to find.

Nice Cabin!

Our cabin #2 was really clean and comfortable and perfect for our short stay. Sonia greeted us when we arrived and recommended a perfect place down by the Tennessee river to walk and watch the sunset. We had a lovely campfire back at the cabin followed by a great night sleep. We will be back on our next trip through the area.

Wonderful place to stay. We arrived at 8 pm, it was pretty dark and wasn’t able to find the tent site. We called the costumer service number displayed on the office door and a very nice lady came down quickly to help us. She explained that the tent site can’t be accessed with a vehicle so because it was already dark she let us pull in into one of the RV spots for the night. We were only resting there overnight before we hit the road again early the next morning so that was very helpful. We woke up to an absolutely beautiful view of the lake and the green surroundings. Bathroom had a lock with a password and felt safe, even though not updated it was very clean and cold and hot water were working as they should. Overall we recommend this place. Easily accessible from the highway but hidden enough to make it feel remote.

We originally booked a tent camping site, but due to the excessive heat and storm warnings we requested a cabin last minute. The host was understanding and quick to accommodate. The cabin had great AC and kept us comfortable. The showers were clean with great water pressure. There’s no running water in the cabin so bring your own. There are electrical outlets.

If you want to sit around your tent and campfire toasting marshmallows and weenies, this might not be the place for you. It is advertised as "cabins, RVs and tent camping". The cabins are cute and clustered very close together in a sort of semi circle. The RV sites are also quite close together. I really didn't see a tent camping area. That said, they seem to be renovating and developing the place, so maybe in the future there might be more elbow room? Not sure. These days, many campgrounds are catering to RVs. Many of these people are not "camping", per say. They are living in the RV. Maybe moving from place to place. The general area where the campground is is very beautiful, near the Tennessee River and TN River National Reserve area. The Hostess was nice.

Fabulous night sky, and nature!

I enjoyed camping on this land, there are beautiful woods, ravine, nearby. The night sky was fabulous. The woman who runs the property was very friendly, I enjoyed chatting. The shower was just what a dusty traveller can use. Thank you! Hope to be back, but it's a long way from my home in Canada
